[Looking For Juice - Is Vapor Pro's Good?]

I've got some 555, Virginia and Chocolate. I've only gotten juice from 3 places so far, and compared to VT juice and Liquid Express (from Dietsmokes), I'd call it "just okay". Not much flavor. I just started using it again in an effort to preseve my "good stuff" and so that it doesn't go to waste. I won't call it bad, but won't say it's great either.

I think the Vapor Talk Store has us just a little bit spoiled!! I can't seem to find anything that I like as much as Midnight........help!!

[New Year Resolution?]

Good question jj. I haven't thought of a resolution to break for this next year. I am going to make it a goal to reduce my nicotine level. I am currently using 16mg for the most part. I still have some 24mg and I cant just let that go to waste LOL. I don't know if vaping is a vice, but my love for Dulcis is sinful.

I think I shall resolve to Vape more this year :> and maybe NEXT year I will resolve to Vape less!

It's really cool to wake up and read topics like this. I'm glad that Vapor Talk has been a support group for you as much as it has for me. Every time I get on here I pop a couple drops of liquid in whatever unit I'm using, pull the pin on my office chair so I can lean back, and just ready away. It's like my new morning news paper.

Awesome i apreciate the quick replies. I watched some video's on youtube and i am starting to worry i just got a piece of crap. The name of it is e Health cigarette, i pushed the cartridge srtaight on to the atty which punctured a hole in the tin but no vapor, I then dripped 3 drop's into the cartridge and when i went to have a drag i got a mouth full of juice. I am thinking my only hope is to drip on the atty but were? the little hole on top?, or on the element? or on the metalic point that breaks through the tin on the cartridge?. I know when i figure this out and get my good e-cig's i am going to look back at this and this man was that dumb.

[It's Still Getting Better]

I think it takes time for you brain to realize that the ecig will give you the same fix. Now that you've got that down though your pretty much set. After meals was always a really hard one for me, but more than that would be stressed out days. I'd have a day where everything just didn't go well, THAT's when I'd always want to grab an analog.

I still have *some* craving for an analog but that is getting easier. And, you're right, Chris (can I call you Chris?)lol, there are times around here when I get really really P**SSED OFF, and I KNEW I was getting better when I reached for my 510 instead of my pack of cigs during these times!! Although, my hubby now says "go smoke a cigarette" instead of "go to Hell"!! lolol. So, I know I am going through some changes, especially my attitude, but I assume that too will get better!

Hello I am new to e-cig's and have never used one before. I am waitin for a shipment of good e-cig's but today i found a smoke shop that has a cheap one that i got. I don't know how to use it lol the cartridge has tin foil and when you push it onto the atty the atty pokes a hole in it, they sold me a bottle of juice (30$ for 10ml) but i dont know were to drip it. I have read allot of this forum and have an OK understanding of e-cig's but I can't seem to find anything as basicand probably common sense as how to start. As far as i can tell this e-cig is comparable to a blu cig with the rechargeable case.

[510 Atomizer]

Well, on a personal observation note, all the 510 attys that I have used right out of the box tasted funny for quite awhile. I think it is due to the oil or whatever they already have on the bridge etc,... I have since started boiling my brand new 510 attys for 5 minutes or so in filtered water in an impecably clean small saucepan. Since doing this I notice the flavor and even the vapor is better in my opinion.

Recently, I ordered a couple of 510 attys from the VT store (the ones with the gold band). For some reason these seem to be better for me than the standard ones. I don't know if it's the design or what, but

I seem to be getting more vapor from them. I have not noticed any "funny" taste from either, might be because I direct drip it?

Their warranty & return policy is a little shakey. I actually don't think they are an actual distributer but a website that offers it's service to suppliers. Read their section on "How to become an Affiliate"

My Dad is 81 years old (will be 82 in April) and smoked cigarettes since he was 9 years old! His health is fine; bad feet, arthritis and a little high blood pressure, that he's had for years....No COPD and no cancer, ever.

My Mother was 77 years old when she died of lung cancer. She started smoking cigarettes at the age of 32. She did have COPD (and continued to smoke) for several years before she passed 4 years ago.

So, yeah, I'm not sure why. My parents were still married at the time of her death, so they never ever lived apart or in different environments.

It's honestly probably a legit site. Some suppliers just sell VERY cheap to compete with the larger suppliers. Unfortunately after a few customs seizers and warranty issues they often they close down. We saw this happen quite a bit over this last year.

If you are purchasing atomizers etc make sure you verify they are selling legit brands.

Yeah, they claim to be carrying JOYE and DSE (is DSE a brand?) and that their products are "100% authentic".

I would imagine that if they are "new" that these prices may be "introductory type prices"....OR....business wasn't so good and they are closing out, just not sure. Either way, I'm giving them a shot to see.

But, like Nana said they do seem to be out of stuff...mostly, I noticed they were out of most batteries.

Just a word about "coughing": I used to cough a lot, especially during the night, when I was smoking analogs. Since vapeing I have noticed a HUGE change and I'm not coughing a lot anymore. Every once in a while I get one of those huge throat kicks that makes me cough, but I hear that is a good thing lol.

Hi, Oper8tor! I have tried both the pyramid tea bag and the Fluval polyester filters. I found the pyramid tea bags at my local Walmart but I had to order the Fluval from ebay; since we live in a remote area, none of the pet stores in town carried Fluval and I didn't want to try any other brand. I followed the directions for both on youtube.com and made a few of each for me and my hubby.

As it turns out, I like the polyester filters better and hubby likes the tea bags better! The best part about both types, no matter which you like better, is that they are easily replaced and cost effective.

I didn't use the tea bag filler enough to know "why" I liked the poly better as far as performance, taste, etc. So, I can't really give you a review for those. The reason I like the poly better was because it's just easier to use/make a filler. My hubby says he liked the tea bag better because gets more throat hit from it, as opposed to the poly.

Sorry, I can't give you more of the info you want here, BUT...I did send some pyramid tea bags and a strip of the Fluval poly to Jeffb to try out :> Maybe after he makes some cartridges he will be able to give you a better idea as to durability, performance etc!

Well, now that I have quit smoking BEFORE the New Year (2010)..... what's left for a Resolution??

ive been reading about people having problems with the 510 atomizers that theres a metallic taste. i also think i have a problem with mine, but it doesnt taste metallic,just really disgusting, so im going to order another one soon today. im just wondering if there are any atomizers that work for the 510 unit that doesnt have problems... im tired of spending so much money.. it never stops dammit lol... and ontop of that i bought straberry juice which is horrible by the way, so i have to buy another one

I am probably too late posting this but just fyi..... My Dad has always smoked menthol cigarettes and just recently I ordered him a 510 and Arno's sample menthol juice. Yesterday he took a few vapes for the first time. He said the menthol was just waaaaay too much for him and wanted me to mix him up a batch of 555 combined with a little of the menthol. That seems to be a whole lot better for him. Both the ones I mixed were from Arno and both were 16mg. Personally, I really like the 555 from Arno a LOT, so I don't use the menthol myself.

[Nicotine In Vaping Compared To Analogs]

I'm vaping as much as smoked, so thats not too bad... I guess? How many average drops to make up 1ml?

I normally transfer juice into a small 3ml bottle before I drip, and because I'm anal I normally fill the little bottle every morning. I usually go through about 1/3 of a 3ml bottle per day, so 1ml a day worth of drips. I know that doesn't help you figure out your drops per day, but if you use the little bottles you can kinda keep track that way.

[Nicotine In Vaping Compared To Analogs]

The subject of what vaping is equivalant to in analog smoking is a subject we have been debating about forever it seems. In some ways it's an unfair comparison since vaping is simply a nicotine inhaling process vs the burning process of an analog. It's actually 2 totally different ways of ingesting nicotine. But for the sake of reference and curiosity (mine included), I really sat down and tried to simplify things for myself and my fellow vapors. Here's what I came up with:

I use to smoke Marlboro Lights which contain .8mg of nicotine. To simplify the calculation, let's just go with 1mg per cigarette. The nicotine advertised for analogs is the actual nicotine absorbed by the body vs our nicotine being a conncentration per ml in the bottle. So when you smoke a Marlboro you actually absorb 1mg of nicotine.

1 Marlboro = 1mg nicotine

1ml of 36mg juice yeilds 36mg of nicotine. But, you can only absorb so much. Research puts the vaping absorbtion amount as little as 10% and as high as 40%. So let's go overboard and say 30% is the best you can do (maybe a VP-PT with a fresh LB atty). By calculation: 1ml of 36mg juice X .30 = 10mg of nicotine.

1ml of 36mg juice = 10 Marlboro

So if you vape 2ml of 36mg juice, you are a pack a day "vaper"!

For reference, I calculate some other juice levels so you can see what you are vaping:

1ml of 11mg juice = about 3 Marlboro

1ml of 16mg juice = about 5 Marlboro

1ml of 18mg juice = about 5 Marlboro

1ml of 24mg juice = about 7 Marlboro
