  1. Wow, ya'll are a high falutin bunch aren't ya?

I'm old school. Dekang RY4 in my ego and I have DK-Tab in my V3.

On the plus side, since I seem to be doing fine now with PG (had problems with it last year but decided to try again) and I seem to be good on 24mg, I can finally getting around to trying some VT juice when I get some spare cash. Right now I think I'll just have to make due with the 700ml or so I have...

  2. I have yet to have a problem with LR atty's and my ego either. I keep hearing about how the mosfet will go bad, but most of what I read regarding that issue is substantially dominated by Riva's. Perhaps it is a simple issue with quality. I have seen Joye quality beat the competition time and time again. Who makes the Riva anyway? Smoore? SLB is known to be quality yet their 510 knock off batteries sucked. Sometimes with a knock off, you really do get what you pay for.

Of course, I could be wrong and the issue could plague Joye Ego's as much or more than the Riva and I've just been lucky.

  3. Ok, Ellynn99, I replied to your question in your other topic and now I'm seeing this. I went to strictly ejuice and I saw the blue foam diagram kitsune refers to. That diagram makes no sense to me. How do you fill a cartidge 3/4 full of liquid without it coming out the mouthpiece hole at the end? Is there something going on with cartridges that I don't realize? I received some of this blue foam as a sample from another vendor and I just might try it now. Well, I will if I can figure out the diagram.

The mouthpiece hole doesn't actually connect with the inside of the cart. It runs down the sides of it. If you look at an empty cart from the bottom (the side that goes on the atomizer) you will see some little slits on the sides of the cart. That is where you draw your air from. The inside of the cart is just a reservoir. The only time you will get juice coming back through the mouthpiece and into your mouth is if your plug doesn't seal off and allows juice to run out of the cart and back through those slits.

  4. I'm going to Echo BirdDogs post here. If you are wanting to still use a cartridge, just invest in some cartomizers. I prefer the soft tip Boge ones with the silver threads myself. They are easy to fill, eliminate the hassle of cartridges, and provide a good hit. I used to use them when going out and dripping at home, but I find myself using them more and more even while at home. They are most likely the future of e-cigs.

If you want to try dripping and don't have a drip tip, use a cart without the cotton. Dripping on an atomizer and using the cotton would, at best, provide no real benefit, and at worst, flood your atomizer.

A 10ml bottle will last most people 2-3 days depending on how much you vape. Some people go through 4ml per day, some people go through 1 to 1 1/2 per day, with a lot of people falling in the middle without about 3.

  5. I second the 2.0 Cartos. I got tired of the LR atty's being so inconsistent and moved to 6 volts and HR atty's, which I've had good luck with, but now find myself setting my V3 aside a lot more in favor of my ego pass through and the 2.0 cartomizers. I've had good luck so far with the Boge's, not having one DOA yet and I have yet to have one go south on me in under a week. Actually, I have one yet to outright die on me anyway. I only replace them after I get careless and burn the filler.

  6. I never even saw this thread until it got bumped. I forget I even have a 360 after getting my PS3. I like Modern Warfare 2 when my internet is working decent. Just started playing Assassins creed II again to ramp up for Assassins Creed Brotherhood that just came out yesterday, which I just started playing and hopefully will be able to dedicate some time to it this evening.

I was actually going to sell my copy of heavy rain back to gamestop because I hated it so much I don't even want it in my house, but it didn't even dawn on me that there are gamers here. If anybody is looking for a ps3 copy of heavy rain, it's yours. Lots of people seem to like it, so maybe someone can get some enjoyment out of it, it's just not my style.

  7. Stupid kids. That didn't look anywhere near 900 ft to me. It's hard to tell off video but I've been 300 ft that seemed a lot higher than what they were. I do know guys that wouldn't be bothered to walk out on one of those beams and sit down for a lunch with a nice view. Of course, I've seen some of those same crazy guys get on the top of an incomplete 200ft structure with only 5 bolts keeping it together, and run from side to side to see how much they can make it sway...

  8. So far I've had great luck with the LR Boge carto's from VaporKings. I use a drip tip because I like the looks and feel, and for convenience but I don't use it to actually fill the carto. I find that using the drip tip for more than a couple of drops lets the juice run down the hole in the middle of the carto and cause leakage. Not really a big problem since my V3 has a juice well, but it's a waste of juice. I just pop off the drip tip, refill by holding the carto at a slight angle and dripping into the filler.

As far as the satisfaction part when everything is working, if 18mg is better than the 10 but still not there, try some 24mg. I had to use 36mg for a long time and it's still what I mostly use even at 6 volts.

  9. Omg I might have to go back to smoking just so I can collect all the cool little cartoon warnings. It'll be kinda like trading cards.

I can see it now. "Yeah, can I get a pack of camel lights?" Clerk: These? Me: No, camel LIGHTS, Clerk: These? Me: No no, the pack over there with the cigarette lopping the guys head off with a chainsaw. Clerk: Oh! These! Me: Yes! Clerk: That will be $5.32.

  10. Just wanted to add, USP glycerin is held to a higher standard than food grade glycerin. AFAIK, there are no regulations regarding "food grade", so it can be pretty much anything. I only vape USP grade personally. The glycerin you find at wal-mart is fine as I believe all usp grade glycerin is made by Humco and it has been verified to be all vegetable.

  11. I think people just need that smaller one to start out and get hooked. I still recommend the 510 to newbies that say they want it cig sized, but I warn that battery life is a joke. They start out with a small one, get hooked, and THEN don't care about size as much as battery life. I think if you tried to start a lot of people out with a larger one right off the bat, they may not use it enough to get hooked in the first place.

  12. Oh I've hung out with the Captain many times, the juice just didn't taste like it to me. My mom and stepdad however, loved it, so I know it wasn't bad juice or anything. I just can't vape any alcohol flavors as they all taste nasty to me. Maybe it's my taste buds or maybe it's all in my head. It's just really strange how one mans juice he can't stand is another mans favorite one out there.

  13. I get my orders next day if I order from Vaporkings, but that is just because he's pretty close to me. At least the people in the US are used to waiting. I guess that is the price you pay when you live in a huge country and order something thats 2,000 miles away. Overall though, I think our post office usually does a pretty good job. My mail usually averages out to making it at least 500 miles per day.

  14. Okay, I went ahead and ordered the 801 from wordup. I'm blaming you for that too, MastiffMom. I also noticed that litecig sells a 7.4 volt version pen style and I'm wondering if it's the same thing. I have read that at least the 7.4 volt has different threads and only the high voltage atomizer will fit.

  15. I guess that just shows how subjective taste is. Granted I haven't tried rum and coke from WU (or anywhere else) in about a year, but I remember saying it was like satan himself took a dump in my mouth and washed it out with his urine. Sorry for being so descriptive, but I've never came up with any better way to describe it and still show the contempt that I hold for it.

With that said, I do like most other WU juices, and their RY4 is still about the only thing I can vape all day, every day.

  16. It's sure not hard to go overboard is it? When I first started vaping, I blew pretty much all my disposable income and spent about 2 grand in the first month alone. Now, to my defense, some of that was early Christmas presents to family members and such. Of course, I didn't know such an animal existed as wordup's 6v 801, so now I get to blame you if I buy it!

  17. Its not the atomizer, I wasted a couple cartomizers with some bad tasting liquid too. Its just too sweet tasting. Like a bad fake sweet. Its hard to explain but I dont like it. All the fruit flavors dont taste like fruit, they taste like a candy version of the fruit. Everything besides the fireball are flavours I absolutely love in the real world. My tastebuds are getting tons of flavor, they just arn't liking the flavors. The fireball isn't bad, it tastes like the fireball liqour. I just don't really like that liqour, thought it would be cinnamon flavored.

Should I start looking toward tobacco flavors? Or what kind of flavors would you suggest since I'm not really liking the candy/fruity flavors.

Thanks for everyones help, who ever suggested the ego cartomizer to me a big thumbs up. Liking it more then dripping.

Your taste will continue to change, so there is still hope you will grow to like some of the flavors. It's also a possibility that you may never like the sweet stuff. It's really never grown on me. You also have to remember that PG is used as a sweetener so some sweetness is just par for the course. I have tried some tobacco flavors that didn't seem to have any sweetness to them at all, but I don't know how they would accomplish that other than flavoring overload, which I'm not fond of either, since the flavor then comes on too strong.

Don't give up. Remember there is also a possibility that you will find some other people in Canada that might have juice they don't really like (maybe it's not sweet enough) and you guys can trade, therefore trying out more juices with only the cost of shipping. Personally, I have yet to see someone give vaping an HONEST try and walk away not liking it. There may be some that still vape and smoke, but they don't *dislike* vaping. Keep it up, you'll get there.

  18. I know I breathe better when vaping vs smoking. I can say that I got my mom into vaping last year just to try to help her cut down on her 4 PAD habit. She took to e-cigs right off the bat and pretty much quit smoking entirely. Now here's the kicker. My mother has some health problems, ranging from a brain tumor to bone spurs in her neck/back. Prior to vaping, the doctors told her that surgery was probably not even going to be considered because her respiratory system was in too bad of shape. Fast forward to about 6 months on e-cigs, and her doctor was floored when he saw her, asked her if she quit smoking, and told her her respiratory system was in excellent shape, almost as if she had never smoked! Of course she told him about the e-cig, showed it to him, and he was excited. She's probably schooled about 10 doctors about e-cigs and every one of them have been excited about them and said they would recommend them to smoking patients.

In my book, thats a huge win for e-cigs!

  19. The Homeland Security Department said passengers may see additional screening measures on domestic and international flights because of the incident.

"We encourage those with future travel plans to stay in touch with their airline and to visit www.tsa.gov for updates," the department said.

I hope not, but this could be the end of e-cigs and juice in your carry on luggage on a plane. Expect to arrive at airports even earlier now as well I'm sure.

  20. It all boils down to, a mod is a mod is a mod. The differences you will find will be in battery life mostly. A Chuck with a 510 adapter at 3.7 volts should perform the same as the Spade, with the Chuck having an edge on battery life (I believe) but in trade the Chuck would be bigger and heavier. I don't have a Chuck but it does have many followers so I'm sure it's a good unit. I got my Spade because the size and weight are nice, and battery life compared to the 510 I was already happy with is excellent. If you want a better hit than what a freshly charged 510 gives you, you probably want to go with a 5 or 6 volt unit. If you like the hit a fresh 510 gives, but just wish the batteries would last longer, a 3.7v unit like the spade is great.
