Yes, it happens. I get a dry mouth during the day, too, if I don't keep drinking. You need lots and lots of fluid. They say it needs to be water.
-
Nope, not stupid at all. I don't add much nic, so for me it doesn't change the flavor at all. But, if you do find it changes the flavor for you, just a few more drops of the same flavorings you started with in the proportion you started with. It's not hard at all. So, yes, you are right. See, not stupid at all.

It's very secretive. As you've noticed, not everyone is jumping in to answer you. Some are just a bit scared even. Before you know it, you'll be pulled in with the rest and then...sorry, I can't say any more.

Every word you said is true. And so well written, too! +1 for you. That is exactly what we try to tell every single new person. We've all been there and found the same thing out. That's why we try to tell knew people the same thing so they don't have to find out the hard way. Just know that there are better batteries out there. Once you get a battery that lasts a lot longer, you'll find that those cravings are not as strong and will go away quickly - for most people.

I think you'll let go eventually, too. As long as you want to. I smoked for 34 years and thought I loved smoking. But that was only until I started vaping and found out I loved vaping a whole lot more. I was one of the lucky ones who quit right away and never looked back. I was completely amazed. I would have been pretty darn proud of myself even if I still had to have that first one in the morning though, so I think you're doing fantastic. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, too. I hate the thought of all these bans that are trying to go through. That's why I'm stocking up as much as I can. I want to have my supplies and not have to worry about it. I really don't want to ever go back to smoking.

Ah, I like things simplified. Good idea.

New To Vaping, About To Make First Big Purchase!

Welcome to Vapor Talk! It sounds like you're on the right track. I always recommend that you have at least 3 batteries on hand. That way, if one dies you still have one to use while one is charging. If you only have two and one dies, you have nothing to use while the one is charging. Not good. Having 5 attys on hand is a good idea. Although they are supposed to last about a month, you will sometimes get one that only lasts a few days. If you only have two attys and one dies, then the other only lasts a couple of days, you might be caught with none until your next order comes in. Not good. Juice. That's a hard one to call. You might only go through 1ml per day. But...if you only buy a 10ml bottle and find you're going through 2 or 3ml a day, it won't last long enough to get more delivered. Until you know what you'll like, it's hard to say go ahead and buy 30ml. You'd hate to be stuck with that much juice in a flavor you can't stand. The best thing to do would be to get some samples. Try several different flavors. I would recommend having about 30ml to start with, but in small bottles. Once you know what you like, then I'd say start stocking up. As far as filling goes, you just drip the juice onto the filler and you're good to go. You don't need any special tools. You might want to consider getting a couple of drip tips. They have a hole in the top and you just drip directly onto the atty through the hole. Much easier than the filling the cart thing. I don't know anything about the mega stuff. Someone who does know will be along shortly to answer that one for you. Good luck and happy vaping!! -
Yes you will get there. I'm sure of it. Just don't push yourself too hard. One a day is amazing. You're doing great.
-
Yep, there is a very small (extremely tiny actually) LR stamped on the bottom of the atty.

I don't think it matters which you add first, but I have a suggestion...when you first start mixing your own flavors, use the 3ml bottles and don't add any nic at all. If you like the flavor you mixed, then you can add some nic. If you don't like the flavor, you haven't wasted any of the nic juice. If you use the 3ml bottle, you haven't wasted much of the flavoring either. Once you find a mix you really like, then you can use the bigger bottles and make more of it. Keep notes on which flavors you have used and how much you have used. Make a "recipe". That way you'll know which ones are good and which ones aren't good. It's horrible to make something really great and then not remember exactly how you made it. Don't ask me how I know that...it's sad. LOL Happy mixing!!!

Once again, nice review!

So glad you could taste them. You all have me thinking I should try some juice from them.

I am also a big fan of the AC. The first 3 months I vaped, I couldn't taste any of the juices I bought. And I bought a lot, trying to find one I could taste. Tasty Vapor's AC was the first one I could taste and it's still my favorite by far. It's my all day vape. I still can't taste any of the juices from other places (or only very slightly). I really need those intense flavors. Once I started adding my own flavorings to the juices I had, I could taste those and do make most of my own now, but it's still the AC that I use all the time. I'm okay with something different now and then, but I haven't found anything else I want to stick with all the time. I have been very curious about trying the Geoff's Blend, but haven't done it yet.

That's great, Mary! It sounds like you're doing better now. I know how bad those days can be. I haven't really had one myself in quite awhile now, but they do still happen. I have to tell you, I have not been a carto fan at all, but I bought some of the Boge 2.0 ohm attys from Vapor Kings and they are really good. I'm on my first one right now, so can't say how long they last, but so far I am liking it. I also make sure and top it off quite often and that seems to be working really well for me. Be sure to keep coming in here and talking to us when you're having a rough time and we'll try to give you all the encourage you need. You can also come in here when you're not having a rough time and just want to say how well things are going and we'll cheer for you, too. This is a great place with a lot of great people who all just enjoy each others company.

The LR attys do use the juice up a lot faster. Once I switched to the LRs, I started going through a lot more juice. And if you don't keep them really moist all the time, they do start tasting burnt. I hope giving them a bath helps for you. Just be sure to use a lot of juice to prime them afterwards.

Fantastic!!!

I'm so happy for you!! Finally being able to taste something is great. I know.

I Am New And Have A Question From The Seasoned Users

I only use a LR 510 atty on my eGo. I've never tried the tank, but did get a couple of the mega attys to try. I don't care for them. For me, it's just back to the beginning of using a cartridge with filler and that never worked well for me. The filler holds quite a bit of juice to begin with, but you can never use it all. I feel like I end up filling the cartridge as much as I would drip anyway. I much prefer using a drip tip and dripping. Right now, Liberty Flights has a great deal on eGo kits. You get a full kit with two full eGos for $40. - with their 20% off promotion that's going on. You'd probably be better off doing that than buying things piece by piece right now. Here's a link: http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=40 The batteries hold charges for a long time. I've never actually timed it, but I've had charged batteries sit around for weeks and they still have a good charge when I use them. You don't harm the battery by leaving it in the charger. Once it's fully charged, the charging process stops. I've often left batteries charging overnight. But...it isn't a good idea to do it either. Not that it will harm the battery, but it's best to keep an eye on the chargers. You just never know what could happen. I've seen stories of people have problems with the chargers themselves and you don't want to take any chances of a fire, so it's safer not to leave a charger plugged in overnight. But there are people who do forget...like me...LOL -
Congrats ripple!! I got mine ordered on the first try, too. I'm hoping my wait is almost over.
-
Congrats Nanna!! That's how I started with DIY...adding some flavorings to the juices I already had.
-
I like the cone on. But I've never used a cone with a cartomizer either.

Hold on!!! It gets better!!

I Am New And Have A Question From The Seasoned Users

Yes, you could just buy the eGo batteries and not have to buy the full kit. That's how I started with the eGo. I bought a couple of batteries, and adapter for using my charger (yes, you will need one or you can buy an eGo charger) and a cone. The cone goes over the top of the atty. It makes the whole thing look better. Some people don't like using the cone, but I love it. The overall size of the battery is bigger than the regular 510 battery, but it's still not all that big. I can still hide the whole unit in my hand...if that gives you any idea on size. You cannot use a LR atty on the regular batteries. You need to have something like the eGo for those. The LR stands for low resistance. You don't have to work so hard to get a good hit with them. They vapor they produce is amazing. Really. Well worth it to me. The LR cartos are the same. I'm not crazy about cartos, but it sounds like most everyone else really likes them. I will say however, they are much, much better than the regular cartos. At least as far as vapor production. They just don't last long enough to satisfy me. I don't know anything about the ceramic cartos. Hopefully someone else can answer that one for you. Don't worry about asking too many questions. We're here to answer them for you. Don't give up. It may take you awhile, but I'm sure you'll find just the right combo of things you need to make vaping work for you. What kept me satisfied the most was the eGo with LR attys. Even though I've used other devices off and on over the last year, the eGo has been my go to device. It's been just perfect for me. I went through a lot of different devices before getting here though. Just hang in there. We'll help all we can.
