  2. Yup...should have whipped out the PV. I was at a Sonic restaurant and had just finished placing my order to go when the reporter approached me. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
  3. I was approached by a reporter for WITN-TV 7 about a story she was doing on scooters. I taped it with my Android camcorder, so the quality may not be all that great, but it's watchable.
  4. I made this video mainly for my sister and her husband (my brother-in-law). I have a bit of a cold, so please forgive the way I sound.
  5. I trust Santa was good to everyone here. May everyone have a happy new year as well. I'll be celebrating a birthday on New Year's Day!.
  6. I have posted video reviews of both the Volt and the Vortex version 2 cartomizers in the video reviews section. In short, the Vortex version 2 cartos rock.
  7. Still rockin' my Volt with the Vortex 2 carto. Still no leaks. I do believe I finally found a clearomizer-type carto that actually works well. I may post a review tomorrow about these. The only thing I wish they could fix is the mouthpiece. It doesn't fall off, but I wouldn't try dangling it. The weight of the battery would probably cause the mouthpiece to come off, causing the battery and the carto to fall to the ground. Other than that, I'm still lovin' it.
  8. I tried to edit the last post, but couldn't. I meant to add that the ohm variances in the Volt cartos seem to be a bit much. That may very well be why some were performing poorly.
  9. The Volt cartos are supposed to be rated at 2.5 ohms. However, there will be variations from carto to carto. The batteries haven't been used that much yet, so they still have a way to go. They still hold a charge quite nicely. I got my Vortex version 2 cartos. In a word, wow! These are rated between 2.4-2.7 ohms and perform beautifully. No leaks at all. The flavor is very clean and comes through nicely. The throat hit is amazing. The vapor production is way better as well. Now my Volt is kicking ***. I'll post a review after I have tried them a few days, but so far I'm very satisfied.
  10. Nice piano playing there, Chris. Keep it up. You'll be playing at Carnegie Hall in no time.
  11. Thanks, everyone. I do believe the poor-performing cartos are of a higher resistance. I guess I'll have to invest in a multimeter and only use the lower resistance ones. Although I have had the Volt for a while, I only used it when I wanted something that handled more like a regular cigarette. I know they have manual batteries, but they also have a 5-second cutoff. Weird. I got the kit for myself so I could test it before buying a kit for my sister for a birthday or Christmas present. In the meantime, I have ordered a pack of Vortex version 2 cartos to try. I'll keep you all posted.
  12. Thanks, Uma. I'm not ready to give up on the Volt yet. I'm also looking at other cartos, such as the Smok Tech and Smokymizer 808 cartos. I guess we'll see what happens then.
  13. I always remove the carto from the auto battery before refilling. I also wipe the threads clean before I put it back on (after the excess drains out). I have tried various juices with the same results. My juices are 70%PG/30%VG and 24mg nic strength. All of them exhibit the same symptoms on those cartos except for 3 of them, and those 3 don't even come close to the 510. From what I have seen, this thing should be rivalling the 510 in performance. Anyway, thanks for the response, Uma.
  14. I have been using the Smokeless Image Volt for a while now. I have noticed that I'm not getting much of a TH and/or vapor from most of the cartos. Only 3 of the 10 cartos performed decently (still not nearly as good as the Joye 510 though). The auto batts work great (although the 5-second cutoff should be done away with). I checked various reviews of this product before purchasing. Is it possible I got a really bad batch of cartos? Any tips/tricks I should be aware of? Thanks in advance for your help. If this isn't in the right forum category, please feel free to move it.
  15. I use the Smok Tech 2.5-ohm single coil cartos. Those are great at 5 volts. I did try their dual-coil cartos as well, but I can't vape those beyond 3.7 volts until I find a mod and batteries that can handle that much amperage.
  16. Here is my review of the Bauway 510 mega cartomizer.
  17. Here is my review of the VP Pearl.
  18. Nope. That is the name I use when I'm DJ'ing. I got the name from one of my favorite '80s songs ("Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions). I'm glad you found the Boges. I'm itching to try the dual-coil cartos soon.
  19. Hawk, here is the link for the 3-ohm Boge cartos. http://www.madvapes.com/Refillable-510-Cartomizers_p_2481.html Here is the link for the 2-ohm Boge cartos. http://www.madvapes.com/Refillable-510-Cartomizers-20ohm_p_2744.html I hope that helps.
  20. Erm...they do carry the silver-threaded Boge cartomizers.
  21. I was pleasantly surprised by this supplier. They carry hardware and e-liquid. The China e-liquid pricing is outstanding. 50ml is only $10.99. 60ml is only $14.69. What I really like is where Madvapes is located...right here in NC. I am going to order some Smok Tech dual-coil cartomizers in a week or so. If I like those, I'll post a review.
  22. I would love to send the email, but it asked me which program to open. I only have Windows Live Mail. When I chose that, it opened up the email client, but no premade email message with the addresses showed up. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  23. Correction: Standard resistance means not low resistance or high resistance. I have learned that not all e-cig atomizers have the same resistance. It all depends on the make and model. Therefore, standard resistance will simply mean not low resistance or high resistance.
  24. Blu finally jumped on the cartomizer bandwagon. I'm curious as to how well they perform. It would be a great upgrade for those who got the Blu a while back, assuming the new cartos fit the standard Blu batteries.
  25. Standard resistance = 2.8 - 3.2 ohms.
