  1. Somedays I find that I feel pretty burnt.. Like Chris said, if my units are giving me issues, and if I'm busy and don't have a bit of time to take care of batteries, and fill carts. That was an issue for me about a month into vaping, but now I've become more accustomed to bringing my kit with me, and I've gotten better and faster at getting quick vapes in here and there in between busy times.

Sometimes if I'm all nic'd up and just been vaping for a while I'll get burnt, but as stated above, I too get happy to vape again once I need some more nicotine. Like Jeffb said, staying hydrated is very important to be able to taste your flavors. That seems to keep the good times going for me. I remember when I used to smoke, I was always thirsty, but never drank enough water, I would just light up again instead; and I always felt terrible. I don't really know why I did that., but since I started vaping and chugging water all day I feel tons better as I'm sure everyone else has.

  2. I use one of for my 510 everyday at work. Been using it for 2 1/2 months now, and it works awesome. It takes a little bit longer to charge on than the wall plug, but it still gets the job done before the other battery dies. For the price I sure am happy I got it.

  3. I have been working with my Mom on this same issue too... She won't cut back on smoking cigs long enough to give her lungs half the chance to accept vapor.. I told her the whole deal about how it's harsh for the lungs for the first couple of days, especially when one has been smoking a ton. With all that said, I have still not found the right method to encourage her through it.. My Mom has smoked for 45 years, and her lungs are pretty trashed. She has coughing fits when she's tried the 510 I got her, so I ordered her up the VP1, as the 801 atty's are way smoother. IMO the 801 attys are the smoothest, especially if smaller tokes are taken. Hopefully this will work, I've tried the reasoning that she should take smaller puffs, and acustom her lungs over a day or two. Her VP1 comes in 2morrow, so we will see when I bring it to her in the evening. At this poing all I can say is Good Luck to the three of us, and extra patience and inspiring words for us to give..

  4. QC is the quality control. I have a Stick, and it tends to leak, out of the bottom of the atomizer, even with using carts only, and not dripping. This prevents contact from being made, and it won't heat the atomizer properly until you clean it out which can be a pain. When it's working, it vapes like a champ, when it's not it sucks. Just one of those things...

  5. I've gotten a lot of canker sores from nicotine in general. I was on the gum for way too long, more than a year before I switched to vaping. I pretty much had them continually when I was using the gum, and what sucks even more is my family is very prone to getting them from stress, and other non nicotine related factors..

All that said, since I've switched to vaping, I have only gotten a few, although I can;t tolerate any juice in my mouth anymore, because of the prolonged exposure to straight nicotine from the nicotine gum I used. If I do get juice in my mouth, I have to thoroughly rinse my mouth out for at least a minute. If I don't I will be assured of sore gums and or a canker sore where the juice made contact with my mouth tissue.

I have also gotten some canker sores from the rubbing of my cheeks on my back molars, particularly with my Janty Stick, when I first got it.. I was having trouble with the atomizer and was sucking my cheeks in way too much against my teeth. I got the atty problem fixed which in turn fixed the draw and haven't been having too many issues since then.

In all, after I vape I try to rinse my mouth out with water, and If I don't have a sink around or anything at least gulp some water down to clear out my mouth and this has alleviated the canker sore problems. I spoke to my dentist about all of this, and he is the one who suggested that I rinse after I vape. He said that the rinsing along with the mouth's super fast healing should keep me fixed up, and all in all was supportive of vaping vs the gum, and especially smoking. He said of the three, that vaping was by far the "healthies" of all three.

  6. So I have to jump in here now too.. Man I love this forum. I have never been a forum a person, and usually tend to lay more low style on posting. I definetly am addicted now, and as Chris says have the refresh bug.. This place is awesome, and even though sometimes I make posts that sometimes don't read well, everyone is always polite, helpful and respectful. Thanks to a great forum, and great new friends.

  7. Right on JM! Dude, I just got my Mom on to vaping too! She's 64 now, and it's been a bit of a learning curve for her since she hates technology, but I got her the 510 and it's working good for her. She's still smoking part time, but I think that will subside once she gets the hang of everything, and realizes that she gets the nicotine she needs from vaping.

Again, congratulations. Good job man! :punk:

  8. My 801 is snug as can be, I have to draw a little harder and vapor is pretty good. My 901 was a little weaker, and the 510 was really good. All in all I haven't really experienced these problems. I would like to say it's your atomizers, but if you've tried a couple different ones, I don't know. Are the atomizers from different suppliers or the same one? When you put a full charged battery on the unit, do you still get weak vapor?

Ok, I think I'm not snugging them down enough. Maybe it's not making good enough contact, and the draw is too light.

I have tried a couple of different ones.. Two that came with the kit, and and another two that came from a different supplier, and have had the same deal with all of em..

Also tried brand new charged batteries, without adjusting or changing atty's and the same thing. It's been really weird and frustrating to say the least..

  9. Hey Everyone,

I need some input on the 801 atomizer's. I have the VP2 and have been using it for about 1 1/2 months now. About a week ago, I started having problems with vapor production. I contacted Jeso at VAPRLife, and we determined that I wasn't screwing the atty down on to the unit far enough. Problem was solved initially. Since then, I have been having problems figuring out how the draw is supposed to be on an 801. When I snug it down on the VP - it has a semi hard draw, and when it's not snugged down the draw is of course lighter.

I'm thinking that the draw is supposed to be a little harder, for say than the 510, and I've been letting too much air in. With too much air, I've been getting pissed at poor vapor production and dripping too much into the atty, and perhaps flooding it, as I'm getting weak sauce vapor production. I have tried a couple of brand new atty's recently, and having the same issues.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all..

  10. @ Stringdancer:

Just a thought, but the bad taste in the atty's may be the packing grease they use to keep them moist. Almost all of the atty;s I get come with that crap in them. I blow them all out, and leave them upside down for a couple of minutes afterward. The ones I have not blown out, have crapped out on me almost immediately. It seems that the packing grease screws em up if it's not removed. Maybe this will help on the other 3 units you still have from them..

  11. i think tobacco smokes have lots of other chemicals in it that i'm addicted to

is that even true? or are the chemicals (besides nicotine) non addictive

anyways bottom line question will i get my fix right away from an e-cig? i think either way i'll get used to only feeling just nicotine :)

    thanks

I found that I got my nic fix right away; it's the rest of the habit you have to reassociate your brain with. ie; the pack of cigs in your pocket, the lighter, where you have to go to smoke etc. The rest of the junk in cigarettes didn't seem to be addictive for me, just the nicotine. It takes a week or two to get used to vaping in lieu of smoking, but after that it's all win win.For the first month of vaping I kept wanting to go outside, and my wife finally said, dude you can vape in the house, what are you doing? I find now that I crave certain flavors of juice now and again but don't miss any of the 4000+ other chemicals, especially all of the tar! Talk about breathing better.

  12. Thanks for all your responses! I have a new car charger coming and 5 510 mega batteries coming soon.with my 3 old batteries that should get me by most days.I'm going to try and remember to unplug the charger before I start the car.

I did a little more digging, and realized that the DC adapters for car charging have a protector fuse built in. Most of them anyways, so check that your does. In the event that you get a surge at any time, or if your atty decides to short out, the fuse will break the circuit, protecting your equipment. I just picked up a new DC to USB converter that has a built in fuse, it was only 10 bucks. So if you have the adapter with a build in circuit break, you should be all good..

  13. Have had my 510 for about a month now. My battery life in 2 of mt 3 batteries is way down, and they seem to be taking longer to charge. Most of my chrging is done with a USB adaptor that fits into my lighter. I heard that starting a car while charging a battery will hurt the battery, does anyone know if this is true?

Im expecting a charger cord that will fit the home charger, Will this speed the charging time?

I'm thinking about a passthrough, but I vape with my left hand and really don't want the cord running all over.

I did order 5 510 mega batteries the other day, and am expecting delivery tomorrow and I don't want to hurt them.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I have always heard that is best to have all electronics off in the car before starting it, as surge can sometimes go through the electrical system, especially when first starting it up. I was always told by my dad to turn off the radio, air conditioner etc. as it's hard on them when starting up. I have just taken that for granted, and unplug my accessories(e cigs) DC adapters etc. in addition to turning everything off before I start. I could be totally wrong though...

  14. Man, that's a total bummer. I almost bought a VP1 (bought a VP2 instead) because Jeso said the Janty Stick batts would work in it. I'm sure they will under normal circumstances. He also said the Stick has an internal circuit to protect the battery so I doubt you would ever have a problem there.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks to you and Jeso.. I didn't know that the stick had an internal circuit protector.
