  1. You know what the of the biggest problems with the Joye 306 way back when was the fact that the cart life sucked. The battery life of course wasn't great but it was one of the smallest ecigs you could buy that was actually worth it's money. Makes me wonder if we should bring it back now that they have 306 cartos.

    Chris,

I would snag up some of the 306 stuff from you. I have been vaping the regulard 306's lately on my SB @ 6v, and also the LR versions. I like the standard better, and at high voltage they almost keep up with YOUR 302's. (I made a bad move and ordered 302's from another vendor a while back and they sucked!) So yeah, get a small batch on your next order and pm me, I'll pick some 306 stuff up from ya.

  2. totally stupid question which is which? which ones are for mixing and which are for just filling the carto's?

The liquids for mixing will usually be 36mg or higher, and will have no flavoring. They will be labeled such as: 60MG PG DIY for Mixing. These are flavorless, and intended for the addition of additional PG/VG and flavorings of the mixers choice.

    Hope that helps

  3. I purchased my first boxmod a week ago and in less than that it stopped working altogether-after blowing 3 attomizers. They exchanged it for a new one and this one only holds a charge 4 hours and then takes another 4 to recharge. I am using the batts that were recomended by the seller-14500-900 mah. It is also going thru attomizers like crazy. I am using regular joy 510 attys. One last problem is it leaks like a seive. I enjoy the 5v but is my boxmod experience the norm? I got it to try HV vaping before spending more money to get a joker or chuck and it has served that purpose. I am planning on buying a bigger mod soon. Any advice on my frustrating boxmod?

It sounds to me like the regulator is blown or not wired properly. I have had this happen to me a couple of times, with units I've purchse and built. If you have a multimeter, try testing it out, and that will let you know right away if the regulator is working or not. If it is, then it may be the break in.. It usually takes me a good 10 - 20 mins to break in a new 510 on HV. I start out with 3 drops, one puff, if it needs more juice, one drop at a time till I know it's wet. You have to take baby drags at once it is hitting, and allow a lot of cool down time before hitting it again. Once you start getting clouds out of it, then I keep it wet dripping only 2 drops at a time. It's a PITA, as I only get about 3 drags before dripping another 2 drops in, but it doesn't flood, and gives a good consistent vape.

Another idea, is trying the 510 cartomizers. They are tough, and can handle HV extremely well. I fill em up, throw a drip tip on em, and just keep em wet dripping 5 or 6 drops about every 10 - 15 hits, so not to burn the filler. They also have a really light draw, which helps get massive airflow past the coil, which in turn creates more vapor as Air and heat create vapor.

    Hopefully this helps a bit!

  4. why is it that my high drain batteries barley fit n my mark mod. im afraid they are not going to stay in the right place. how come the regular 14500 works great in it but the high drain ones is shorter??

The 14500's Li-ion are longer because they have a protection circuit. The High Drain batteries do not require protection circuits, thus they are shorter.

You can fill the gap with a magnet spacer, Clouds of Vapor sells em for $1.

  5. Hopefully this is the correct forum for the question - if not let me know. It's stock-up time and I'm looking for a vendor that sells Joye 302 atomizers in bulk. What I mean is, you can buy 5-packs of 901s or 510s at a significant discount as compared to buying 5 individual atomizers, but I've never seen "packages" of 302s. And I'd really prefer to buy larger quantities - say 10 or 20 in a package. Can anyone suggest a source? Also, I'm only interested in Joye 302s, not "alternative" (801-type) equivalents. Thanks in advance, hope everyone's having a great day!

You can check out this site - I've ordered 302's from here before. The more you buy the better the deal, not exactly a five pack deal, but still a discount.

    My link

  6. I've been using the nickle plated drip tips for a couple days now and not only are they pretty cheap but I feel that they do a good job of keeping the heat down on the atomizer.

    Nero,

Where did you get those? That sounds good to me. Are you gonna carry them?

  7. Hey Guys,

I'm with a lot of what has been stated so far. That original link that Nana put up, regarding the blind and visually impaired contained a post from my brother, who is very almost totally visually blind. He drips as he uses the Silver Bullet at 6volts, although most of the time it is a total pain for him. He ends up with juice all over him, and not in the atty.

That said, I think a longer lasting battery, such as in the wetbox utilizing the 14500, or the Ego would be the best bet, using a cartomizer. I know a few seniors who are blind, and who smoke, as my mom lives in a senior community now, and and boy they smoked a lot, so I imagine that she would vape a lot too. A longer battery life is the way to go. The standard 510's don't last worth a hoot, but the aforementioned batteries will last most of the day. Getting back ups (batteries), and having someone to help her charge them should do the trick.

As far as atty's go, I think the cartomizers might work best. I have yet to try the 510 carto's, but I started out vaping on the KR808d's and they worked well, and if the 510 carto's are as good as the reviews and talk of em, I think they should suffice.

Summing it up, I think the wetbox, or Ego with 510 carto's sounds like the ticket.

  8. Woohoo! Congrats Poppa! Man, I'm happy for you! A better quality of life for your son, your all. And too boots, a kick butt ride. That's just awesome. I read your post about you turning him on to the Ego, and I'm sure glad it's working. Good Job Pops!

  9. I'm going to be camping for a week next month and will have limited access to electricity. I have the regular 510's and was wondering if a pcc could be charged in my car cig lighter. I have a car charger with a usb connection but I don't know if that will work. I really don't want to be forced into "cold turkey" so I'm open to any suggestions.

    Hey Gypsyladee,

I have used the car cig lighter to charge my 510pcc, however it does take quite a while from the car. Usually takes around 2 hours, so you may want to get a passthru. Whatever passthru you get, make sure your car cig ligher USB adapter puts out 5volts, and the best put out 5volts and 5amps. You can pick them up at many suppliers, here on the forum, or at Target and Walmart. Check the package for the ratings.

There are also portable power packs out there, but they tend to be pricey. There are some great posts here that have links, but for the life of me I can't find em tonight.

    Hope this helps a bit.

  10. Hey VT Family,

Just wanted to give a shout out to Derek at Create Vapor!

He just spent 45 minutes with me to make sure I got what I needed, and that's incredible! Another awesome vendor here on VaporTalk.

If you're looking for excellence in customer service, check out his site. And I see he's gonna have Ego's in soon... Dang it, now I'm gonna have to get one of those too!

So I had to edit this post.. I just got an email showing that my order is already packaged up, and I was sent a tracking number! WOW. 15 minutes from order box!

    Thanks for reading all,

    Hawk

  11. It looks to me like "cylindrical" batteries don't have the little nub on the positive terminal. I could be wrong, and please correct me if so. I'm at all-battery.com doing some shopping and here's what I'm looking at, 18650s:

    18650s

These one's look good. The cylyndrical reference is just what the battery shops refer to as for the shape (as they also sell square types for cell phones etc.). The different manufacturers either include the protuding nub on top, or not.

Will these cylindrical batts work in a normal, everyday mod? I think Woody's positive terminal looks like it stands proud enough to make contact even if these don't have the little nub, but just want to make sure. Also, any opinion on the high-mah batts?

I love the high mah batteries. I use the Trustfire 3000mah 18650's in my Silver Bullet, and they last about 2 1/2 days. They take about 8 hours to recharge, but well worth it. Just get 2 or more and you are set!

    Thanks!

  12. is it just me or does everyone get a stronger throat hit when vaping at 3.7 volts?

sure at 6 volts the vapor is hotter, but not neccessarily stronger.

i just started vaping my VP1 1.0 & 2.0 and VP2 cuz im always frying my attys using my 'chuck'. im using the same 901 atty and the same awesome vapor marlboro 24mg juice and the hit is stronger at lower voltage. why is that? :o

I have noticed that too, with certain juices I get a better throat hit on 3.7. The tobacco flavors seem to give a better TH at 3.7. I've been vaping french pipe and vanilla, both juices on a Silver Bullet at 6v, and in my VP2. The french pipe definitely gives better throat hit on the VP2 vs the SB, and the vanilla gives better throat hit on the SB vs the VP2. Maybe since the tobaco juices are thinner, they don't get fried at the higher voltages, wheras the more fruity or sugary juices are a bit thicker, so they hold their original qualities better at higher voltage.

  13. Have you tried a Joye 302 (801) on the VP/PT? That's all I use on my VP/PT and haven't lost one yet, but I don't use it full time, only in the evening and weekends. I use a 510 on everything else, but the 302 is just right on the PT.

Brian, Ditto on that exactly. I love the 302's on the VPPT, all I've been using for months and months now on it.

  14. I would like to say thank you to Sinikal. He got me started, and when I was new he hooked me up with some good equipment, and gave me a lot of support and knowledge. Thanks Sin!

  15. Glad you're feeling better. Can you report back on what you get and where and how it is? I'm curious about the 901 and flavor. I have a fitting on my indulgence but only an HV 901 atty, but wouldn't mind trying it on the Spade and whatever else I happen to get.

    Hey FTJOE,

Yep no problem! Will let ya know here how they perform, and then where purchased.

    @ Dayvape,

    Cool, looking forward to them!
