  1. Isn't this the same as saying I installed the wrong, after-market battery in my Ford car and it caused the car to catch on fire, so I sue Ford?
  2. I was digging through my boxes the other night and found a bunch of unflavored 24mg I bought off Chris a few years ago. Not wanting to waste anything, I was trying to come up with an idea to flavor it when I remembered the roll-you-own cigarettes place across the street had Tasty Puff brand flavorings for tobacco. A quick google search revealed it was fine to mix with e-liquid so, cash in hand, I headed over to purchase a few. They price out at about $2.50/bottle and come in every flavor you can imagine. A bottle appears to be about an ounce which should last a long time as it is very concentrated. Judging by the packaging, it seems it was intended to be used for "other than tobacco" products but who knows? I picked up Jungle Juice, Joosy Fruit, and Lemon/Lime to start. I've always been of the opinion that DIY e-juice is more like a cooking than science so I tried 10 drops of e-liquid to 1 drop of Tasty Puff. The Jungle Juice was nice and fruity like a watermellon punch. Very nice and tasty! Next, I tried the Lemon/Lime. I was amazed! It tasted just like 7-Up! And the Joosy Fruit tasted exactly like Juicy Fruit gum! I have to say I was astounded by how vibrant and realistic the flavors were! If you haven't given this a try, I would highly recommend it. I've tried all the Loranne stuff and it didn't hold a candle to the Taste Puff. I'm probably late to the party with this write up but I just had to put out how great these flavors are. On a side note, I found a full bottle of 16mg Midnight and it mixes really well in the atty with the 7-Up flavor. Good job on that one, guys!
  3. On average, considering your vaping all day, do you guys use a clearo before you pitch it? What makes you decide to replace it?
  4. Uma, the Twist was in my first order! What a great product! I have basically put away all those fancy mods and just go with it all the time. As a matter or fact, I ordered another one and some high res Vision clearos. The low res don't seem to work that well with the twist in my opinion. Let's see if the high res work better.
  5. I picked one up after my layoff. It took a bit of tinkering to get it right. The single punch cart that came with it was worthless. Luckily I add a 5 pack of dual holes to go with it. Those seem to work much, much better. It's just "OK" in my book. I like the Vision clearos like Jeff mentioned the best so far. The draw is smoother and more to my taste. However, I keep the DCT on my VP-PT for almost infinite vaping. Worth the few bucks they cost, in my opinion. I can see it's going to be painful when the carto gives up, though.
  6. A few of years ago when I started vaping, I bought my dad a 510 kit for Christmas. He's been smoking since he was 16 and is in his 70s. I knew the technology would appeal to him and he took to it like a duck to water. He was making his own mods (I think I have a picture of some on here somewhere). Well, after about a year of cutting down and finally ending up on straight VG, he just quit. Never picked up another analog! He's been clean for about 2 years now and swears he never wants another one. He said he drags out one of his mods and vapes on occasion, just to have something to play with but for the most part he is no doing anything. This is my idea of a true success story!
  7. What is the advantage of the cartomizers over the old school carts? Other than holding more juice, is there a performance advantage? As I recall, most of you guys were drippers.
  8. Thanks for the welcome back, guys! I like the new toys. Can't wait to try them out. Looks like the latest is the VV mods. Got to have one!
  9. Just placed an order for a dual coil tank system, drip tips, cartomizers, and an ego twist battery. I got a couple of eGos for free when I was reviewing. Saw that Grimm was still at it. Maybe I'll dust off the lab coat and make some new vids!
  10. Hey, Jeff! How you been? I'm trying to sort out drip tips, cartomizers, tanks, etc. Glad to see you!
  11. Hi folks! Some of you may remember me and some may not but after almost two years on analogs, I'm back in the digital world! Looks like a few things have changed/improved and I'm looking forward to learning about all the new gizmos. Anyhow, it's good to be home! Doctor J
  12. No, that's kind of dad and Rob's thing. Though I did get dad into RC cars for awhile! My other brother and I are rock musicians. That's kind of always been our hobby.
  13. Small world of vapors, that's for sure! Yeah, I hooked up my dad with a 510 around October of last year. He bought Rob a 510 for Christmas but I don't know if he took up vaping. If you know my dad, you know he's quit a character! Good to meet you, man!
  14. I sure am Rob's brother. Where do you know Rob from?
  15. My old man is a tinkerer by nature. When I bought him his first pv, I knew he wouldn't stop there. My mom calls this thing "The Bomb Detonator". He took 3 - 900 mah nicad batteries and soldered them to an 801 atty and a switch from Radio Shack. He quick charges them on a charger he built for his RC planes. He says it's runing 3.2v and works great. Using nicads, you don't have to worry about explosions, contrary to the nickname! I swear in the picture it looks like he's tailpiping the thing! I love my pop!
