Yeah I think I'm gonna get rid of mine. I'm tired of screwing with it

For about a week now I've been wrapping a few coils and have been getting burnt hits after it sits without vaping for 20 mins or so.. Well I got real tired of it and decided to be creative. I turned my protank into a drip tank! First I took silica wick and wrapped a 1.6 ohm coil around it, doubling up the wick where the coil is wrapped on, then stuffing the edges and left the chimney off of the head as shown below. Depending on how long I drag, I'm getting about 10-15 hits before needing to re wet. I just unscrew the tank drip and carry on I just did this about an hour ago, I'll update how this turns out after a days use

I'll give this a shot. Am using about the same amount of cotton as the wick, am I suppose to use less?

So I've wrapped a few coils now for my kpt but I'm having an issue.. First off, they are 2.2 - 2.3 ohm coils with a 5/6 wrap if I'm not mistaken with 32g wire using a 5/64 drill bit. Vapor and flavor is 10x better but here's my issue. After it sits for 15-20 mins without vaping, my next hits are really burnt. Almost like the cotton is dry. It eventually goes away but damn it sure is getting in my nerves.. Battery is at 7.5-8.0 watts and I did my best to get the coils as close to each other but they are still spaced, I've only built 4 soo far. All are having this dry hit issue. Am I doing something wrong? If more info is needed ask away and I'll try to help as much as I can, thanks!

I'll be trying this tonight as well, I'm also going to be rebuilding a few coils for my kpt for the first time

I've also heard you need to or should use organic, why is that? Is that sold at drug stores?

So if I run a 1.8 ohm coil vs a 2.2 I'll gain a little extra run time on my battery? And do you know how many wraps I need to get 1.8 to 2.2?

I'm going to pick up a coil and mini torch after work today and attempt to make my first coil tonight. Has anybody made a 2ish ohm coil for the kpt? I need to know how many wraps to make. Also, if this could be answered one more time is appreciate it.. The higher ohm the less resistance and less power it needs correct?

I guess I'll just buy a new coil and see if the problem still exists. If it does I'll probably get rid of it

This head doesn't have that silicone cap like my kanger tanks do, so what's the best way to keep the cotton from moving?
