G-Priv Device Not connecting to PC

Hi there, Im new to this forum so i hope im posting this question in the right section. I have a g-priv device that i would like to update the firmware. the problem is that it is not appearing on my pc. I tried different usb cables and also a different pc. please help

Try these steps in this order

1. Remove the batteries from your G-Priv
2. Connect USB to PC (bot NOT to G-Priv)
3. Press hold the fire button on the G-Priv and connect the USB to the G-Priv.

I had the same issue not so long ago, but I followed the steps mentioned by Adversarious1 in the same order and fixed it. At first, I thought it might be because of the computer (mine is really old)and tried to install a free registry repair to clean the malware, but after this nothing changed, I still couldn't connect the G-Priv. After a while searching on different forums I found this post as well as some other similar ones with the steps described above, so luckily I could make it work.
