spydre Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 A family member told me that she HEARD that "experts" are saying if you've switched over to e-cigs, it's a different device, but you are still essentially still smoking. So I pointed out some of the differences. Not that it's going to make much difference to her.
Joshuab3687 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I feel for ya Spy. I purposely keep my family at arms length just because they refuse to educate themselves and take the word of reporters as gospel. Ya gotta love em, but ya ain't gotta listen. Garbage in-garbage out. Lol spydre 1
spydre Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 MOST of our families are very supportive, and positive about it. Well, my Dad is non-committal, but that's because his doctors want him to switch to it over analogs, and he's not ready to put the analogs down (and frankly, at his age, I mean, he just turned 69, I have doubts that he'd make the switch anyway), but he does think it's good that I've put down the analogs. It's just these two family members.....not saying who.....and I'm not sure if she was even quoting "experts", or her husband (who has expressed a similar view previously, that if you replace the act of smoking with hand to mouth inhaling of anything, you haven't quit anything). She said, "you know they say", but um, where is she getting her info from?
