bustincaps Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Very simple and proven method for cleaning and extending the life of your refillable cartridges: Simply use isopropyl alcohol. Just pour a little in the gummed up cartridge and shake vigorously until the wicks are clean. The alcohol will evaporate in a very short period of time and your cartridges are like new!
mcquinn Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 They put stuff in rubbing alcohol to make it non consumable, while the alcohol will evaporate the stuff gets left behind. I think Everclaer or Vodka would be a better choice.

We have been down this road before. Boiling, soaking etc. Just easier to toss and start with a new one. But thank you for the useful tip!
