I personally boil mine and then do my best to dry them out a bit and then hit them with a hair drier for a bit and them leave them to air dry with a desiccator or just out in open air for 48 hours.

I guess I'll be first this time .They are meant to be disposed of when they quit working properly. When I get three to five days of use from mine they are quite ready for retirement.

Carts can be around 1.50 now and will have to admit "saving" them in the beginning. Time exposed the futility of this venture and I just toss them now. At most you will get another half life out of them, but they'll never be the same, all the while.

That said.....if you hate the juice after couple of hours/half day/one day and wish to keep the carto for trying another juice? It is worth the time to rinse under hot water and blow them out. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat.....until juice is gone and water is clear. Boiling does a better job but any carto used for 2-3 days will not come back to make it worth the effort IMV.

There is something to be said about rainy days and hard times. Could be wise to rinse and save a few choice ones. Just ensure they are completely dry before refilling, or you could end up...... :crybaby:
