Meziked Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Did some shopping today.... Hit 5 stores looking for Loranne's and all I could find was oil based.. But... in Krogers I found a lot of "extracts" that contained exactly the same ingredients that Loranne's list in the super stuff... at $3.45 for 2oz’s (or roughly 60ml) it’s a steal compared to 7 to 8 dollars an oz + shipping. I know to stay away from sugars, oils, caramel coloring, ect….. but this stuff had none of the above. I do know some people posted McCormick’s would be too weak ?? I don’t know what to think at this point… I know to always go with what’s tried and true, but someone had to pioneer the old stand-bys. Has anyone tried the non-oil flavors sitting in the spice section of most grocery stores? I doubt I am the first to happen apon the fact that chemically, they are the same.
Brian Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I believe Kitsune has used the McCormick's. They are less concentrated, so you'd probably need to use more flavoring in your mix.
