  1. You're at 87 days, $518.63 and 1743 analogs avoided. :)

My eGo batteries get quite hot just before they're finished charging. It surprised me the first time I noticed it.

As for attys, it's hit and miss. I've had some last a couple of months, others just a few days. On average, I'm getting 2-4 weeks mostly. I don't clean mine either and generally just use one atty most of the time until it dies.

    Thank you Sir!!!

Thanks again for all you do here!!!

HAHAHAHA just saw my post from the iphone last night.............That was supposed to be a "FLAMING" projectile...........not foaming!!! :) I guess neither would be good though. Dang auto-correct.

  2. I have mainly used the same two batteries that came with my kit about 2-3 months ago. (I am using tapatalk on my iPhone so I can't see my counter at the moment- so if someone would give me an update on my days w/o analogs and money saved, that would be awesome!!-

I just recently purchased an eGo-T battery, and just in time because one of my originals started fouling up. I also ordered LR attys with my last purchase and have used them exclusively since. So far no issues.

As far as the other battery, I noticed that it wasn't charging. When I screwed it on to the charger, the charge light would turn red but the battery wouldn't flash. I could push the button a couple of times while charging and it would flash, but it was hit or miss with an atty attached and had very short lifespan. Also just noticed the other day when I was trying to charge it that it was extremely hot to the touch.

I had never heard of the 10 click reset, I just tried it a minute ago. I will see if the battery gets hot again here in a few.

Is there any way to rebuild a battery?

Also, I have read where peoples attys didn't last very long. So far I haven't had one of my four go bad, and I generally do not trade them out so one of them is always getting a lot of use. I haven't ever cleaned one either, not noticing any issues yet. Is that out of the ordinary??

  3. Oh thank God it's working, :animier: Yes Ive had several USBs go out. Cheaply made I guess. You don't have any shops around? Your too far to be timely from me, but I would have sent you a charger lol just so you wouldn't smoke. Im sure someone in your neck of the woods would help too if you posted an ER. Good luck with your wifes kit, I hope she likes it.

No, unfortunatly no shops here in Arkansas that I know of. I have thought about opening one myself, I have purchased one set up for a random customer in my store, and have four others wanting me to order for them. I think it would go over well, the things practically sell themselves!!

  4. I woke up this morning to a dead eGo charger. I had one full battery to start the day, and the partially charged one that was one the charger when it died.

The original ac adapter went out within a week or two of my first purchase, which Chris immediatley took care of, but now the adapter AND USB plug are fried. I planned ahead as far as atty and battery back ups, but never thought about chargers.

*OH SNAP!!!!* As I was sadly typing this topic, I glanced at my USB cable on the desk in front of me. I decided to try it in the USB port again, and BAM.............. the little green light is on!!!!!!

I am soooo relieved, I was dreading having to smell like an ashtray again! I guess it was the adapter the whole time. Has anyone else had issues with these going bad? I have a new one on order, as well as an eGo for my wife, (Chris, you are always my first option for buying supplies, but the wife wants a pink eGo, and I didn't see those in either of your stores.) so hopefully I will have all of my bases covered next time!!

**Note** I did try the USB this morning, and I swear it didn't light up........but keep in mind that was around 4:45, so I may have still been asleep.

    So, anyway........As you were.........crisis averted!

  5. I bought some flavors and they are just too weak. I can't taste them. i know my taste buds need to recover but I also need to enjoy my vaping experience. So I am waiting for liberty-flights to get in some more of their flavorings that I want because I did some research and their manufacturer seems good. So here are my questions:

    1. Are there other flavor manufacturers I can get that are good sources of flavoring from?

    2. Can I add a few drops of flavor to an already mixed pre bought flavor? I have experimented with adding and mixing the premixed in smaller bottles with success but I have never added the concentrate.

    Thanks,

    -C

The only DIY flavors I have ordered at this point are from The Perfumer's Apprentice. I am pleased with the flavors.

Yes, you can add flavoring to pre-mixed juices, keep in mind you will be lowering the nic levels, but that should be negligible unless you are adding a ton of flavoring!!

One word of advice, start small with the addition of flavor. Some flavors are stronger than others (Kona Coffee for example), I used a VERY small amount in a mix I was making. I might have only put 2 drops in a 6ml mix, but it was so strong that my wife could actually smell the vapor from the next room. My thinking was: No problem, I'll just double the mix and leave out the coffee.................. didn't work. Now I have 12ml of WAY to strong coffee flavored juice!!!!

  6. I just started mixing too. My first mix I used 2 drops of Kona Coffee from PA. That junk is STRONG!!!! Had the same results, funky smell and strong taste. I thought I could fix it by tripling my nic and base amounts without adding anymore flavor, figured that would tone it down, NOPE!!! Still has almost the same taste as the more potent mix.

Note to self: With Kona Coffee flavor, less is more!!!!

  7. When I bought my eGo almost a month ago, I went ahead and bought one of almost everything to go with it so I could see which methods worked best for me (pre-filled cartos, blank cartos, blank boge LR cartos, drip tip, tank system, Mega atty).

First off, it isn't too big, so long as you are comparing it to something like a fountain pen rather than a Virginia slim cigarette. You will probably end up holding it more like a pen anyway.

For your situation, a tank system sounds, to me like, it would work best. The only problems I have had with my tank were leakage once the reservoir was close to empty, and juice getting up into the mouthpiece. There is a thread addressing those issues around here somewhere, and some of my problems could have been from operator error as well.

I wasn't satisfied with the vapor production and cost effectiveness of prefilled cartos, though I did try (I think it was Dayvape's) suggestion about putting a drip tip on a LR carto so it was easier to refill. I did that for about a day, and it worked fine, but I seemed to be burning through a lot of juice, and my personal preference just seems to be direct dripping.

I know it seems like it would be a pain, but once you get the hang of it, direct dripping is really a quick and easy way to vape. Refilling the atty starts to become second nature, almost like it was when we were pulling a cigarette and lighter out of our pockets.

Good luck! Great thing is, so long as you don't choose to go back to analogs, any decision is a good one!

  8. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you- I was only trying to help. I"m not so good at math, ratios/percentages- it gets me confused. That's why I recommended the e juice calculator it makes it really easy and accurate - for me.

You didn't! I wouldn't have even thought to interpret it that way, I was poking fun at my state!!!!

Sorry I guess it is hard to see my sarcasm in text!

Maybe I should use smiley's more???

  9. Just my 2 cents but if the web site with the caffeine additive says: use at your own risk and another product says not to use with e liquid. That would make me wonder if it would be any where near to being safe. I for one would not use this eventhough a few suppliers use caffeine as an additive (I have read), I would not even think twice about not using it. IMO

I am sure that every site selling non-FDA approved products has some type of disclaimer on their products, in our "lawsuit happy" society you probably have to!

I think the product they said not to use in e liquid was the one specifically for drink mixes.

  10. Hey Junk,

I would have to agree with everyone's comments.

Here is the deal: EVERYONE has a bad day, VT might have had one when they sent your order......... I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are having a bad one today, so I will spare any "Holier than Thou" advice or negative hits to your rep!

    Here are my 2 cents:

I run a branch of a service oriented, material supply company. My branch grosses well into the several millions every year, and I serve many million dollar/per year customers.............the bottom line, I understand customer service. I have never had even a hint of poor service from the VT Store. I was informed of any backorders, and even told when the backordered items would be in. I had a charger part go bad the other day, they mailed the replacement out before I could even ship them back the defective unit.

These guys are good..... they may not be perfect like you and me, but I bet they will fix any screw-ups!!! :)

  11. What the heck is going on??? Did big brother take over???

When I type in Vaportalk.com in my browser bar I am taken to an FDA..............

    wait a minute.................you PUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahahahahah.......I caught it before I posted, but figured I would go ahead and post, so that you knew your efforts weren't wasted!!!

    Good Job Christopher!!!!!!!!!!!!! :censored::veryangry::thumbsup::whistle:

  12. I just finished a wonderful dinner and was sitting on the couch vaping away, thinking how much I am enjoying DD'ing on my eGo. I popped open the laptop, logged on to my new favorite site, and saw this thread.

I have only been vaping for a few days, and have had a lot of trial and error, but I think I have finally gotten the hang of direct dripping. I have a stainless Janty eGo that I am currently using with a standard atty and a drip tip. Finding the right amount of juice to drip has been my biggest challenge. Not enough and I get very little vapor with a nasty taste. Too much juice and I had a gurgling PV with very little vapor.

I have found that three drops of 24mg juice to start gets me 5-6 good puffs, and when I start to get a little hint of "funky" taste I add two more drops. To keep from getting juice on my lip, I will first wipe the tip, in case I happen to dribble on the rim (my wife gets on to me for that at home too! ) after that I blow across the tip, kinda like blowing on a coke bottle, to force the juice down to the atty.

If I do get too much juice and flood the atty, I take the battery off and dab it with a paper towel, and then blow the extra juice out of the atty. After that, I put it back together and hit it until I get the hint of funk again.

I am liking it, and getting full hits.

I hope this helps, but I am sure it is stuff you already know.
