  1. Before starting a new topic, I figured I'd add a follow-on question since it's on topic and seems to be a popular post. Do any of the resident experts know of a reliable USA based source for LR Mega Cartomizers similar to ones offered on Totally Wicked's site? They seem to be sold out and I've been playing around with the Mega Cartos on my spare eGo bat. I much prefer the vape experience on the LR 510 cartos so I'm thinking an LR Mega Cart would be the best of both worlds. What do you all think of them? Worth it? I know they're a pain in the butt to refill but I had a standard Mega last me two full days on one fill. All that said, I'll be stocking up on LR 510s. I just LOVE them. w00t
  2. I got the delrin drip tips at Dayvape's suggestion and they fit perfectly and work like a charm. I had to shoe-horn it into the carto the first time. Seemed tight, but that's a good thing for me since I like to "dangle" it between my teeth from time to time. And it makes "topping off" a no-brainer, especially when you don't have a paper clip handy to pry off the soft top.
  3. Dayvape, when you're right, you're right. Man I'm loving these LR cartos.
  4. I've been told that they need to kept moist to extend the lifespan. I vaped for about two hours last night and only this morning did I begin to notice a decrease in both taste and vapor production. Sadly, I'm at work and my Caramel e-juice is home so I can't "top off". So I switched to a mega cart until I can get home and refill. So far, so good. I'm loving the warmth.
  5. A special thank you to everyone who recommended the 510 LR Cartomizers for me to try on my recently acquired eGo. These things absolutely ROCK. After a few recommendations from kind folks here on the forums I was finally prodded into buying some when I watched the video review from bobthesalesclerk over on the electronicstix.com site. I filled up my first LR carto with BlueMist Caramel Tobacco last night and the first puff blew me away. I love how warm the vapor felt and my wife admired the billowing clouds I was producing. You were all right. I'm hooked! And to anyone who was on the fence about these, I'll add my voice to the chorus and say "Go for it". You won't be disappointed.

    Smell?

I stealth vape on the subway in NYC too. I've got it down to a science. Folks sitting right next to me have no idea and they can't "smell" a thing.
  7. Now I really can't wait! But you know what's sad? I figured I'd be saving tons of $$ by switching off analogs. They're upwards of $12/pack in NYC where I work! But now I'm spending all that saved $$ on juice, cartos and accessories. LOL I'm sure that will calm down eventually. I'm an excited newb. I'm already looking forward to my next e-cig purchase and I haven't even spent a full week with my eGo yet. Someday I'm sure I'll get to HV. I just need to slow down and enjoy the ride. woo hoo!
  8. D'oh! There goes my dyslexia again. I always manage to screw up numbers when I'm typing. I've heard great things about the ENS LR 510 cartos too. I'm really looking forward to them. I'm loving the eGo but I have noticed that I have consistently concentrate on my draw. I chalked it up to being freshly off analogs but then I read about the LRs and it piqued my interest.
  9. And I forgot to add that you're spot on about the silver threaded cartos. Luckily I'd ordered my 501s right here through VaporTalk (thanks Christopher!) and they have the silver threads. I had also ordered a "spare" carto pack (forgot where from) for my wife and those had the gold threads. Night and Day. Those gold threaded cartos suck big time. I found the Derlin style nylon tips over at electronicstix and will tack a few onto my order of LR cartos. Bobthesalesclerk did a great youtube review of the LR cartos from those guys.
  10. Bingo Dayvape! Those Derlin tips look to be exactly what I'm looking for. I knew there had to be a way to fit a tip onto the 501 cartos, I just didn't know "what" to look for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
  11. I've been enjoying my new eGo for 4 days now and have been stocking up on juice from different suppliers and reading the forums here like mad. Thus far I prefer the 501 cartomizers mainly for the convenience. But I must admit that I'm a bit confused by the 501/801/901 and adapters, etc. So I figured I'd ask the experts. I really like the "pen" or "whistle" style tips but the cartos I have are standard 501s. I've seen photos of a 901 that appear to have the whistle tip I'm looking for. So can I use the 901 on the eGo or does it need an adapter? Pros? Cons? Also, are the 901s as easy to refill as the 501s? I've already stumbled across the eGo carts with the pen style tips and I've absorbed the refill tutorial. I plan on trying those out but they do look like a pain in the butt to refill. I like that I can pop the top off the 501 and "top off" when needed without the need to setup with a syringe and such. Perhaps there's a mod of some type that I can apply to a 501 carto to give it the "whistle" or "pen" tip I'm looking for. Any nudges in the right direction would be most appreciated. Thanks!
  12. I was wondering what the difference was between the LR and standard Atty too. I've been using mainly cartomizers with my new eGo and was considering the purchase of an LR atty. Now I know for sure that I'll be ordering one along with a tip for direct dripping. Woo Hoo! I'm loving the responsive informativeness of the forum members here. You all rock!
