  1. Packers all the way! They had a shaky start to the season but their last game against the Vikings was ridiculous.
  2. I'm newer to vaping too and switched to wickless coils and I get a lot more time out of them. Not sure if that's been anyone else's experience but it works for me. The local shop I buy them from sells em for like 12 cents more than the regular wick kind. Might help?
  3. Thanks for all the warm welcomes, everyone. I appreciate it. I work for a university here, and they recently decided to ban e-cigs inside all the university buildings, with the same penalties as smoking analogs inside. There was an op-ed in the student newspaper this week written by a student questioning the administration's decision. In case anyone's curious, here's a link: http://www.lanthorn.com/article/2014/08/oped-luke-colmn So anyway, I'm a touch nervous to vape, even in the single-stall bathroom. It's a new building, and if I set off the smoke alarms somehow...yeah. Don't want that. Ah well. Just not looking forward to another Michigan winter spent puffing 25 feet away from the building and knee-deep in snow...brr. I'm really interested to see where vaping goes from a social standpoint. The article's author writes, "In terms of bringing them into the ranks of hipsterdom, I think their success is indisputable." So hey, that's something. I was probably considered a "hipster" back in college--not the way the term hipsters are known today--but I liked trying new things out. Not everything would catch on, though, so my concern is that vaping might be labeled as "too hipster" on campuses. Anyway, my thoughts are probably better suited for a different forum, but just thought I'd share.
  4. Hey all, name's Liz. Not a seasoned smoker (increased from social smoking to daily smoking only about a year ago), but was up to about 6-10 cigs a day. I'd wake up and go to bed with that tightness in my chest, found I was short on breath more, and missed my sense of taste and smell. I did some research earlier on vaping, but was intimidated by the options and unsure on what I really wanted. This past Sunday, a friend of mine mentioned in passing that she switched to vaping earlier this year after years of smoking. I hadn't known anyone prior to this who vaped, and she kindly answered my bazillion questions. Monday I drove to the nearest vapor shop and was taken care of beautifully. The employee walked me through everything, didn't pressure me, and took time to understand what I was looking for and offer suggestions. I walked out with an evod 650mAh PT battery, an evod 2 tank (switched out the coil it came with for a wickless one), and a nice little sampler pack of 70/30 juices, 12mg. The whole thing cost me about $45 (including a 10% discount, since I work at a university) which I thought was pretty fair, considering it'd pay for itself within a couple weeks. I know it's only been a couple days, but so far, I'm not craving cigs one bit (which is saying something). I love being able to puff away while I'm playing League (yeah, bit of a nerd here). I'm still a bit shy when it comes to vaping in public. It's catching on in my area (west Michigan) slowly, but I don't see it very often. A number of vapor shops have opened up in my city, though, so it must be catching on. Looking forward to learning from you seasoned vapers and ditching cigarettes for good!
