If the store is out find another store. Any 510 manual or atomic battery will do.
Make sure you don't overcharge them. I heard if you overcharge them, it can fry them. I've heard get them off the charger as soon as you possibly can once it's charged.

I have the janty ego usb charger. I just ordered the viking vapor tornado battery. I wanted a pink one. I'm assuming it will fit this charger since janty/joye ego and the tornado are all made by the same company. Am I correct?

got my credit card bill today. I got carried away on ecig stuff. I wish I knew now what I did before I went on a shopping frenzy. I needed stay away from forums and youtube videos. I now know what I like and don't like. And I realize which eliquids I like and didn't like. And the spare parts I could have done without. Oh well, you live and learn. Maybe I can go and sell some stuff on classifieds that I don't need.
The damage is $388, maybe close to $400 because I made a couple more small purchases that wasn't on this statement
In the long run, I hope it's cheaper, on cigs alone I spent 9.14 a day. That's close to $475.

For my first two batches of DIY, I did pretty well. I'm using small batches and got some empty pill bottles from the pharmacy.
I can't tell you how much of what I used, just what looked right. And they tasted good. I think I will stick to small batches at a time.

I'm now stocked up on atty's. I think I have around 12 backups now. And today I got my first cartomizers.
Wow these vape good! No mess, no fuss. And I can taste the flavor very well this way. No hassles with refilling cartridges, that don't last long enough for me. Or flooding my atty dripping which I tend to do. Now I am hoping I can get some good life out of these cartomizers.
I love cartomizers. I just had to pop in and say it.

OK I got organized today. I found all my parts. I organized all my stuff, and I filled carts, and did washing of dirty parts. I got my atty's to work and I'm all set. I'm glad, I can vape in peace again. I now have 10 atty's work with. Relief!

Whenever you have a brand new 510 atty, or even one that you've freshly cleaned and dried, there are a couple places inside the atty that are absorbent and are completely dry right now. For a new atty, there is a shipping primer (the stuff that makes the "break in period" taste bad). So blow that shipping primer out as best you can from both ends of the atty. Next you'll want to take some of the juice you plan on vaping and drip 10 drops into the atty. This will completely flood the atty, which is a good thing in this case. Let that sit on a paper towel threads down for like 10 min. This will allow the juice to completely soak into every part of the atty. When the 10 min is up, most of the excess juice will have drained out of the atty. If you want you can LIGHTLY blow from the cart side of the atty to get a little more juice out. Not too hard tho, or you'll be blowing away the perfect vape that's about to happen. Most of the time I just throw it on a battery and go for it without any blowing. Now just sit back and enjoy your brand new atty that you just "broke in" in 10 min.

Here I thought I had DOA 510atty's. I had atty's that I cleaned, had heat but wouldn't vape and thought where dead. And I was putting 2-3 drops in them, and even putting prefilled cartridge on them, and nothing. And then I found this on another forum. It worked like a charm and I had to pass the word.

Have you tried them on another power source?Different battery of passthrough?That sounds like way too many bad ones at once.
I don't have a meter.
I got 5 of the the standard 510's to work out of the 7. I got these from tastyvapor.
I got one of the LR 510's to work and got it from altsmoke. I only ordered one, and they sent two just in case.
So working with them, I got them to work.
I'm cleaning the other 2 dead standard 510's hoping that they where treated with pg first.
How do I know the one's are LR, where are they marked at? I need make sure these go on the ego.

Seriously Can this really be happening? I got 2 510LR attys yesterday doa. And today I got 7 regular atty's. I've tested 4 total so far, and only 2 attys work.
This is what I'm doing. I put 2 drops liquid on it, and pop a prefilled cartridge on it to prime it. And I'm checking the connection to the battery and making sure it's on right.
Is this common to get dead atty's or am I doing something wrong?

Sounds weird to be two of them, you checking the contacts, don't put them on too tight, are you definitely getting juice from the battery to the contacts?
Yes definitely dead. I don't know what's up there. I tried adjusting the contacts to the atty and it's dead. I was hoping it was that. I know it's very strange to get two dead attys. I was hoping it was human error. I got 7 atty's today and they work fine.

also i have a carto that you can have, pretty much brand new. the only problem is that it only likes to work for 5v. i thought it was dead at first.

Now if I can just find my favorite eliquid I lost yesterday. LOL And that spare battery. I'm ok on batteries, but hate losing one. I have 3 cats, I have a feeling they are behind it.
And I am still waiting to hear back from altsmoke see what the deal is with my 2 dead LR 510 attys.

I am missing a bottle of my favorite eliquid and a 510 battery.
I had the eliquid with me when I went over to feed my dad's cat, he's out of town. So I'm hoping that is still there.
I've been looking forever for my eliquid and other battery. GRRRR! I have no clue where my extra 510 battery went. I've gave up for the evening and going to bed.
All my attys are shot. I got two LR 510 batteries today and they where DOA. And I have nothing to vape with b/c my atty's are about dead and not vaping right. I cleaned them hoping they pull through by morning.
I've had a bad vaping day. I tried to be prepared. I have ordered attys, they aren't here yet, or they where dead upon arrival.

Your eGo batts are 650 mah, so that isn't the problem. It could be that the attys are DOA. I would contact Altsmoke for replacements.
You can drip with LTR atty's right? I've been in contact with altsmoke, so let's hope it's my error and not 2 DOA atty's.

I just needed pop in and say how much I love the nutella from DIY Flavorshack. Dawn is always so nice and sends out freebies. She also writes a personal note to you on the invoice. With her sending samples it's a good way to try new flavors. That is how i fell in love with nutella. I've ordered from her twice and never any problems.

I ordered LR 510 atty's for my janty ego. Neither one works. I ordered from altsmoke. On the plastic they came in it says Do not use on Ecig batteries. Use with 3.7 protected batteries only! Only use batteries with 450 mah and higher.
Help! Is that a janty ego wattage? Why isn't these working at all? Did I just waste money?

I was talking about the attys. If they are the attys that came with the eGo, they are Janty attys and are also under warratny.
Exactly my janty atty arrived dead and I have returned it under warranty.
The other atty I had a month and it was not with the ego, it died. And I revived the other one which wasn't ego neither.

Bummer, in the beginning I was losing a bunch, but I keep mine pretty clean these days, blowing them out and draining them. FWIW - there's a big difference between regular cartos and LR cartos. 3.3 and 1.6 ohms respectively. I can not stand the LR cartos, real hot. I am kind of finding the tru-vapor cartos from vaporsetc interesting, they are 2.4 ohms.
I ordered this atty to, I'm really blowing some money here and trying everything.

Some who have had atty last a long time will dispute it, but I still say that attys are hit and miss. You'll get some that will last a week or so and some that will last a month or more. I actually had pretty good luck with attys until I went to high voltage. I have not heard any talk of the eGo shortening the life of the 510 atty.
If you're serious about buying bulk, Puresmoker.com has a 50% discount if you buy 25 attys. That makes the attys $5 each and also puts you over the free shipping amount. Thier 510 attys are genuine Joye 510s. They have regular and LR.
Where did you get your eGo? I don't remember if you had the Joye or the Janty. If you have the Janty eGo, contact the supplier as they have a six month warranty on attys.
I have the janty ego. It arrived DOA and they are in the process of sending me a new one. I am referring to my other two atty's. I did revive the one by taking the bridge out but not getting the "sucking" power or vape I want out of it.
It's trial and error. Wating on those cartomizers and the lr atty. Here soon I'll have plenty in stock and decide waht's best for me.

I use the eGo as well and have had standard atty's last over 2 month's, until gunked up beyond cleaning anymore, After the LR atty's came out, I strictly use those. I've had LR atty's last from 1-2 weeks. Some have just burned-out, died, and others have just gunked up beyond cleaning.
It varys greatly, depending on how much you vape, what typr of juice, (I think VG will gunk up faster than PG), how well (and often) ya clean your atty's, etc.
I was able to revive one of my attys. I took the bridge out. And I am using it for dripping. I might be able to revive the other one. I went to tasty vapor and ordered me 7 attys, at $4.00 each. You can't beat the price. However, they didn't have any LR atty's available. I do have one coming in the next day or so and interested in using it.
The way I've been cleaning is put it a cup of hot water, let dry, and use a qtip to clean out. However it has gotten to the point, it heats up, but I'm not getting much when I suck in. I've rinsed them in hot water and even have boiled it for five minutes. I guess as they get older, they just don't want work as good as in the beginning.

If 510 atty's are your thing, go with that. At the low cost of carto's, I wouldn't hesitate to toss a 5pk on the order, to at least try them out. I can't seem to get carto's to work right for me, but everyone's different. Like I said, they're pretty cheap, at least give them a try, despite what ya might hear.
I've ordered some cartomizers. They should be here in the next day or so. I'm going give them a shot.
For the moment I'm going find somewhere and order 5 standard cartomizers and 5 LR 510 cartomizers. I'm bumming.
Hopefully someone in the meantime can tell me if my ego zaps attys quickly. And also what's the standard life on an atty.

I've been vaping 3 weeks now. My first atty died after 3 weeks.
I ordered one last week, and it died and only lasted a week.
I thought I was flooding it Saturday night, I got it to revive for a day. I put it in the boiling water. But now I'm feeling no heat at all. RIP my dear atty's.
I believe I read somewhere that Ego's zap 510 atty's quickly and I'm better off with cartomizers. Is this true?
How long can a cartomizer last m?
I'm vaping on my lasty atty, that is the 801 type I believe. But it doesn't have the vape production I prefer. I've had to smoke yucky analogs today.
I hope my order for my atty arrives tomorrow.
I'm ready to place a bulk order. Should I go for attys, cartomizers, or a combo of both?

Cartomizers rock. My choice from now on. So much easier. No worrying about flooding attys. No worry's on filling tiny cartridges that go out quickly. Mass flavor, and cartomizers can last. Woot to cartomizers!
