  1. Best to just enjoy it and if they ask you questions then provide the answers.Arno has a neat introdutory piece on his website AwesomeVapor I print out and pass around . http://www.awesomevapor.com/page/397873360 and I keep the business cards from the suppliers I trust handy .I remember when I was a smoker the last thing you wanted to do was come up to me and tell me a great way to quit,I really didn't want to hear it smokers get treated like dogs and some may bite.

I greatly appreciate this. I will pass this info along, and your right. I should just leave them alone, and let them find the curiosity of me quiting analogs.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  2. Since I started vaping 5 days ago, I have been trying to show others the benefit to it. Just know one wants to listen to me. People tend to say that the e-cig has worse chemicals in it. etc......

Do we have a starter video or link that I can direct the analog smoker to, and show them everything in 5 minutes? Cause alot of people are going to say that they don't have time for this.

Just wondering if you guys/gals have any insight to this topic.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  3. When I first started vaping I didn't like anything sweet. I had tried both RY4 and Dulcis and didn't care much for them. However, more than 4 months later (sometime last week) I pulled out that old bottle of Dulcis and now I'm just lovin' it! Great stuff - ordered 3 more bottles. I guess it's time for me to pull out the Grape and Midnight again too. Didn't care for them in the beginning either.

Dulcis is the shizzz. The vapor and taste it gives off is absolutely amazing. I plan on buying more of it soon. Midnight is my second fav.:thumbsup:

  4. Highly unlikely. There's always going to be one. That's why I try to be discrete when I vape in my office. If one person complains, that's the end of it. You should try vaping 0 nic and see if they still "feel" it.

There's another thread around here someone - exact same thing happened to someone else, turned out to be a very funny thread.

    Found it:

    Second Hand Vapor

Great. Sorry about starting up another thread. I should of used the search fuction first.

  5. Quick question. I was vaping at my desk yesterday with the delicious midnight, and my co-worker "who is a non-smoker" was saying that he was feeling the effects of the nicotine. Is this possible? The midnight I was vaping was 6mg of nicotine. If this is possible, then I don't think I will be allowed to vape in public.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  6. The 5V will produce more vapor than a 3.7 V unit with a standard atty. I can't speak to the batt life on the Joker yet, hopefully soon :). Maybe Chris can chime in since he's been testing it for a few months.

Sweet. I think I might pick up that Joker Ultimate Kit. Can't beat that price.

  7. Thats what we are here for Rob :) Keep us updated and let us know how its going for you.

Will do. This VP1 is amazing. I am thinking about picking up a Joker too. But what would the benefits of being 5v be? And how about the battery life on it.

    Thanks again,

    Rob

  8. Hello All,

Great! And I think you mean your first new electronic cigarette/custom electronic cigarette. A vaper is someone who vapes. IE "I am a vaper" ;)

I would suggest you direct drip. Click Here for info on how to direct drip :)

I'm not sure if your using the 510 atomizer or the Penstyle atomizer. Either way an atomizer can take a little while to break in. Because the atomizer is brand new usually I'll add about 4-5 drops. Then puff a little. (maybe 3-4 good drags) add perhaps one or two more drops of liquid and you should be all set. Don't let the atomizer get to hot, in time it will break in and you'll be blowing out clouds of vapor in no time. :D Just like anything vaping has a bit of a learning curve.

The best way is to vape until there isn't much vapor left (but don't vape your atomizer too dry!) Once you find the old flavor is starting to disappear go ahead and add a few drops of the new flavor. :)

We where all new at one point! Before you know you'll be handing out expert advice!

Wow, I am so excited from the great feedback from this community. I appreciate all the suggestions, as I will try them all.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  9. OK folks, Here is my little way of giving back to the community that has helped me so much. As alot of you know, I started making wood mods in my spare time. These are not for sale and I don't expect them to be for sale anytime soon. What I would like to see is a post about what you like about the Vapor Talk forum or ideas that you think could be improved upon. This will be a contest where the winner will be picked by a random number generator based upon the post number in the upper right corner of your post. One entry per person please (if you have multiple entries, the first one will be the one that is counted). The contest will end sunday May 2 at 8:00 pm est. and the winner will be picked at that time. Contest is open to ALL members of Vapor Talk (you need to have 5 posts so that I am able to PM you). Now for the prize: The mod is made from Padauk, takes a 510 atty and 14500 battery (you will have to supply).; Please have fun with this and good luck!! thumbsup.gif

edited to add: Please note-this contest is not sponsored by Vapor Talk so moderators and admin are allowed to enter!!!

Awesome, I would love to win this since I am new to vaping. I love the picture. What I have seen from Vapor Talk the past few days is the love in the community. Everyone is willing to help out everyone, and welcomes the n00bs with open arms. I love this place.

  10. Hello All,

Just received my beautiful VP1 today in the mail. Just need some guidance from the pros on how to use this thing. It is my first true vaper.

I dripped 3-4 drops of dulcis "mmmmmm" onto the atomizer, and fired away. Im not really getting that much vapor out of this thing. Is there something I am doing wrong? Also, this set came with cartridges with white foam attached. How do I use these also?

One more thing. If I dripped a certain liquid onto the atomizer, and then wanted to change flavors. What is the best way to do this?

Sorry for the n00bish questions, but I needed to get this answered.

  11. Thanks everyone who has helped me decide what to buy. I decided on the Joye 510 super starter kit. When I tried to order they asked which eliquid: vg-pg? I don't know what they mean. It's not the flavor or strenght what is it? Oh yeah and what's the difference between manual and automatic battery? I'm sorry for being such a pest, I promise once I get this going I'll have a better handle on it.

    Tammy :rolleyes2:

I am fairly new to vaping also, but I think I got this. The liquid they are asking you is either vegetable glycerin "vg" or Propylene Glycol "PG". You can search this site for the difference of the two.

The difference between manual and automatic is pretty straight forware. Manual = you have to press the button for the battery to engage then puff. Automatic = is suppose to act like a ciggie when you puff, so no manual.

    Welcome to the forums.

  12. Rob,

I think you have found an excellent forum to ask questions and get info. About a week ago I found this forum and have had a wealth of infomation at my fingertips and the people here are very helpful and friendly.

I am two weeks into vaping. I started with a two part vaporizer ( SmokeTip brand) and was happy to lose the cigarettes but I was not happy with the peformance of the vaporizer. I found this forum and after asking questions here and reading product reviews I bought a 510 Tornado from Totally Wicked. It may not be the best of the best, although you would have to work long and hard to convince me that it not. The vapor production is very very good, the battery life is excellent. The Tornado is versitile ( you can use the cartridges or direct drip). So from one noob to another I recommend the 510 Tornado.

As for Liquids I have dealt with 99vapors,Totally Wicked, and Viking Vapors. All three have good Liquids and excellent customer service. As for which Liquid is better than the other. That is personal prefrence so if anyone tells you that Brand X Flavor Y is the ONE TRUE JUICE dont believe them, experiment and find what pleases you. I started off thinking that all I wanted was Tobacco Flavors becase I was replacing my nasty smoking habit but after a week or so I found that there was a slight sweet aftertaste that I liked. That was the beginning of my trying, and enjoying, other flavors other than Tobacco.

I hope this was helpful. I thought I would share my lessons learned. I am not saying that I am some sort of expert just another noob who is just a week or so ahead of you. Your mileage may vary.

I greatly appreciate the feedback. Everyone here is so nice and full of information. I will definitley look at the tornado.

  13. I have just got into vaping yesterday, and want to get off the analogs. So I purchased a puresmoke kit from a local cigar store. After I purchased it, I found this site, and realized there are so much more better products. I am a person that usually wants the best of the best. What do you think is better, the Janty eGo, or the Vypr? Do both of them have dripping capabilities instead of using a cart? When you buy a kit of one of them, do they come with liquid?

Any insight would be great for this noob to vaping.

    Rob
