  1. thanks a lot, i pulled out my dmm and didnt get a reading on the batteries. but i think i did find the problem and i dont know if anyone else has done this. people always tell me i have a very strong grip which i never seem to realize and i think i have been over-tightening the atomizer onto my battery and the gold connector that the atomizer screws into seems to be loose. i will have to be more careful with my next set of batteries but one of them i had just bought and hardly used, so i didnt think it could possibly have burned out. thanks for the help and i will keep my dmm handy more often for testing
  2. yeah it charges my other batteries and i have always kept the contact points as clean as possible. the 510 batteries usually flash 4 times quickly when they plugin and start charging, but im guessing the batteries are posting like a motherboard does. like i said 3 slow flashes instead of 4 quick ones.
  3. my 510 works great, my passthrough hasnt had any problems, but i have lost 1 battery to a strange problems of not charging. now i have a 510 mega battery that is having the same problem, the led stays dimly lit (about halfway) and another one (originally bought with the kit) gives me a dimly lit led when the button is pressed with 3 slow flashes after it is let go. the mega battery gives me the same 3 slow flashes when plugged into the charger but does not charge. any ideas?
  4. ive read a bit about the battery mods like the joker, i was kind of generalizing in my post but it just seems a bit funny that these mall kiosks get away with selling extremely overpriced stuff. the guy at the mall seemed to have no idea what he was selling except that its an electronic cigarette. he did guarantee me that SmokingEverywhere's pre-filled carts were 'the real deal' and that liquids were not the stuff i was looking for. even told me that the Banana flavor had B-vitamins in it and was 'good for me'. i just kind of wondered if the sites like the one i mentioned above were either rip-offs or had an extremely unique and well-made product. i have sworn to people that the pv is not limited to nicotine, and should move away from the term electronic cigarette because of the potential for infusing it with vitamins (like the vitamin c shirt, absorbed through the skin) but i dont think anyone is really sure if the vitamins claimed to be in some liquids even survive the flashpoint into a vapor. i saw a liquid the other day that said it had valerian root extract in it to help you get to sleep. i have personally used a lemon oil extract with vegetable glycerin and thought it to be very tasty, similar to a lemon meringue pie. but i wouldnt promote it as a good way to get vitamin c.
  5. i have seen all kinds of ads about these e-cigs and was somewhat interested but the prices turn me off completely. if i can get an original 510 starter kit for $50 why would i pay $150 for one of these? http://www.asmartsmoke.com/ being one of them. i dont see the difference between these and my 510 or 901 or any other model they are imitating, and i imagine these pieces would fit and be perfectly interchangable (not taking into account voltage/amperage differences) so what is really the difference between all these? my 510 works perfect and i have never really had a problem. any help on this would be great
  6. ive tried the nic patches, the gum, lozanges, but never the nicotine inhaler. none of them worked and i couldnt imagine a nicotine inhaler working, using an inhaler and breathing out (consciously knowing theres something) absolutely plain air just couldnt do it for me. i have read a few things about the amount of nicotine delivered through the ecig being less than you would normally receive from an analog. at 18mg/ml i go through about 1.5 - 2 mls every day so i imagine the dosage is about even for me.
  7. i got a usb passthrough also but i got a specific usb adapter for it for my car. i now have a usb charger along with usb pt and a usb car adapter i went up to my gf's property and we had so many battery problems as running the generator all day would be a little bit stupid.
  8. hey im new to the forum and vaping too... but i had thought just a few days ago about this very topic why would anyone consider starting to vape if they had never smoked? now i can agree that if you used a 0mg liquid you could just add it as a bored/tasty kind of thing to do i can also imagine that in the (near?) future there will be a vitamin supplement vaping liquid, if you think not think about the 'vitamin c shirt' that japan came out with.... a 'vitamin vaping fuel' is not far off quick someone patent it? and also smoking everywhere claims that their banana flavor has b vitamins in it, maybe just a side effect of their flavoring? but i do agree with everyone else here that if you are not currently addicted to nicotine then there is no reason to ever use it
