  1. that's cool he's offering the 510... and i like that it's stainless..

but he should offer it as a paired set with a stainless battery cap. it's gonna look silly with a brass cap on the bottom and a stainless one on top.

also, is there an air hole i am not seeing?... because there are no air slots on the top of that fitting.

    My link

it also looks ti have a sexier curvy contour where the drip-well is milled out, instead of the sharp edged well on the 901 fitting.

all in all - i like! just concerned about airflow and mismatched look.

That's a bad photo, the 510 top is brass and designed just like the 801 and 901 tops. Also that top was a prototype before the slots were cut. He said he'll be putting up a better photo with the slots later.

  2. i have a Spade...

what i meant was "i need something small, that doesn't take 10440s..."

    ;)

I take it you don't like 10440 batteries. The protected version is garbage but the unprotected one's are better. You don't need protected batteries in the Stick.

About the only other e-cig that I can think of that's small is a regular Joye 510.

  3. i am so tempted to just get another one for a back up, but i really do need a smaller back up. there are some places where i simply need a unit a can "sneak" (like school)

I use a Janty Stick for stealth vaping.

  4. i messaged him about an hour ago. i understand it's a weekend though. i would have done it sooner but i know if i waited i would be calmed down looking for a resolution. if i sent a message earlier i would have just wanted a refund, lol. i actually DO like it, and just want it fixed. i waited on purpose. ;)

    i use UltraFire - the 880mah ones.

i also pulled on the spring a little but i didn't want to break it (that would REALLY suck).

that does seem to be the issue, i feel very little "tension" when screwing the cap on. the "bounce" is more annoying that the small amount of side to side rattle, but it's there regardless. seriously, when i set the unit down, i can hear and feel the batteries bounce (for lack of a better word). i would prefer it be super tight than too loose.

i actually like the yellow/orange rubbery button (look and feel) , just now how it was installed.

I wrote to Mike about your problems and haven't heard back from him yet. I'm guessing he took the weekend off. I'm surprised you have battery rattle with the Ultrafire batteries. Another thing you can do is cut a business card to fit inside the tube and that will eliminate the rattle. Another trick I heard of is some people line the inside of their tubes with felt.

  5. Stirfry, sorry to hear about your problems. My switch is like Dayvape's, it's black and centered. My batteries don't rattle and I use some of the smallest 16340 batteries on the market (AW). Stretching the spring will fix the rattle. I know Mike designed it around Ultafire 16340 batteries. I don't have any problems with adapters. I screw the atty in the adapter first and then onto the Buzz.

Anyway I would let Mike know about your problems and he'll take care of it.

  6. I don't need one now... but before I found the Buzz, I woulda been all over one!

It sounds like Notcigs VVPV is going to be the next mod that a lot of people will want. It's going to be a rechargeable, selectable volt mod with juice pump. It's going to have a 10 position switch instead of a variable pot. It should appeal to people who are intimidated about using a multimeter.

  7. i have a BUZZ related question:

are the CR123a 3.7v the same as the CR123a 3.6v?

i ordered bats and a charger from battery junction, but i got the 3.6v bats (all they had was 3.0 and 3.6... no one i could find has 3.7)

    this is what i ordered:

    http://www.batteryju...2-uf-16340.html

    and

    http://www.batteryju...om/uf16340.html

i ordered the batts from BJ since notcigs discontinued their charger, and since i had to order a charger from elsewhere anyway... i figured id get the batts there too...

OF COURSE... i JUST got an email that a new charger is now in stock at notcigs, lol.

so, are the 3.6v batts fine? or should i cancel that order if i can and get the 3.7v and charger from notcigs (and pay notcigs ridiculous 11.95 shipping again)?

3.6 and 3.7 volt batteries are the same thing. The normal working voltage of a CR123a battery is 3.6 to 3.7 volts. Some retailers call them 3.6 volt and other call them 3.7 volt.

  8. It's too bad you can't buy a unit that runs at 4.5-4.7 volts... (or can you?) because that sure is a great setting on my Buzz. I rarely NEED to change it from that area.

You can get a Fistpack that has a range of 4.3 to 5 volt. Also Janty has been talking about making a Baby J that is 4.5 volt.

  9. That's funny... that's EXACTLY where I'm at! Perfect.

It's interesting how small increments make a big difference. I went up to 4.75 and I started experiencing throat burn. Went back down to 4.7 and it was perfect. Right now I'm using Tasty Vapor Atomic Cinnacide and I might end up changing the voltage when I change to a different flavor.

  10. Nice review Burn, I noticed the same thing about attys staying cleaner longer. On my other PVs I had to clean out attys once a week because of diminished vapor but on my Buzz I just now had to clean one and that's after 3 weeks use.

You said you wished it had longer lasting batteries, well the next version of the Buzz is going to use 18350 1200mAh batteries. For me the current 16340 batteries are fine because I only have to swap them out once a day.

  11. Say what?? Mine doesn't roll at all hardly. It definately hits/stops at the button.

Interesting, maybe your button sticks out a little farther than mine.

A couple of video reviews have been posted if anyone is interested in see them.

Mike is working on a add on that will turn any mod into a varivolt. He's built it into a 901 atty tube. It's a interesting idea for people who want to convert old mods into a variable volt.

  12. I like the button... its really small, so I don't think you will need to worry about accidental firings. Plus, it doesn't leave an indentation in your thumb after a day of vaping. I've never seen a button like it before... and don't know what to compare it to... but it's definately a good/solid button. It has a soft "click" pressing and letting go of it. What else can you say about it Burn?? I'm sure he will have some input too.

Yeah I like the button too. Like you said it doesn't leave a dent in your finger like the Vaprlife button. I carry it in my pocket everyday and it's never gone off. The only thing I did like about the Vaprlife life button is it stuck out a little bit and kept the mod from rolling on surfaces. The Buzz will roll, so you want to be careful where you lay it.

  13. Good to know. I'm a "clean vaper"... always makin' sure not to get juice anywhere it's not supposed to be! I don't think we have much to worry about. I know I'm certainly a might happy camper right now with this baby! :punk:

I try to be a clean vaper to. I only got juice on the Buzz connection once and that was because I was carrying it right side up in my pocket. After that I learned to always put in my pocket upside down. At home I always lay it down sideways. At bedtime I take the atty off and turn it upside down to drain back into the cartridge.

  14. Buzz should confirm this as I did not want to void my warranty but I all indications show that it is reasonably sealed.

Mike said the Buzz is 99% sealed. He said there is .005 of a inch gap around the screw. He needed that gap for the screw to rotate. He says he's a messy vapper and has never gotten any juice inside his Buzz.

  15. Speaking of that screw... can someone tell me what is under the head of it that is black? Is this some type of "seal" or something now?

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I can't even begin to tell you all how much I love this baby!! Yes, it's not the cute and fancy PV that you might see out there... but that is EASILY overlooked when it comes to the performance! It's not ugly by any means... but it's just a regular tube mod from the outside. It feels really good in my hand and wasn't as big as I was thinking it was going to be. It's definately a SOLID unit that I wouldn't be afraid to rough up a bit. I've been rockin' the Premium Cartos that I had picked up from V4L... I'm at the preset 4.5V, and I must say... I'm very pleased! It's a perfect vape/temp for me with those cartos. I have yet to even try anything else as I've only had it since lastnight. Anyway.. I'm not even going to try to compare to the OTHER review around here... I can't compete with that! Let me just say: I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH MY PURCHASE! WILL NOT BE LOOKING AT ANYTHING ELSE FOR A LONG WHILE... THERE'S NO NEED!!!

Glad to hear you got your Buzz. I don't think it's ugly either. I've seen a lot uglier mods out there. I like the looks of it. I'm not sure what the black thing is but I'm guessing it's whatever the screw screws into.

  16. Unfortunately the smelly, original silicone (contains acetic acid) bond does not hold up to e-liquids. Maybe the Type II (that doesn't stink when curing) will hold up better. I have only tried the original.

It sounds like the best options are to order the Buzz with the optional O-Ring or use a sealed adapter like DAYVAPE does.

  17. 3 days into the "Buzz" era and I cant see myself EVER buying another mod or device that isnt regulated and variable. Very consistent performance.

I agree, I can't see buying a mod that isn't regulated and variable either. I think variable regulated mods are the future and one day single or dual volt mods will become obsolete.

  18. I don't mind the design either. The only thing new I heard Buzz talking about was offering a sandblasted version that sparkles a little bit. I thought it was odd too that he didn't offer a 510 connection. I know he's a 901 fan and doesn't care for 510. Maybe that's why he doesn't offer it yet. I imagine down the road he will because of customer demand.
