  1. That title might not make sense, but I have been using e-cigs for about 6 months now, and I quit smoking shortly after I started using e-cigs. So I do know about e-cigs and the lingo and all, but I am new here, so I guess that makes me a newbie but not a noob! I used to smoke eithger Marlboro menthols or sometimes Newports, and smoked for 21 years. It has been mostly a breeze to quit thanks to e-cigs though. I have been buying mostly e-liquid with nicotine already in it, but I have tried some do it yourself flavors too. Funny thing is, although I have had a bottle of VG(8oz) for a few months, and a bottle of PG(8oz) for almost as long, I just realized that both of these seem to have sweetner already in them, and I dont know if thats normal or not, but they do. What happened was I met a guy who said he had used VG to extract from a cigar, so I went to a tobacco store where they sell mostly cigars, pipe tobacco and not knowing much about cigars, I asked the owner there to steer me in the right direct to find a good quality cigar with moderate flavor and not too expensive, so he shows me this shelf of sale items and sells me 3 cigars for the price of 2. They are called Joya De Nicaragua petites. So I cut 1.5 of them up with scissors and add about 5 oz of a PG and VG mixture and seal it inside a bottle and leave it sit for a while. So after about 14 days, I decide to check it out. The liquid doesnt seem to dark, but I add a few droips into an atomizer and vape it. So it actually tastes like the flavor has infused into the diluent pretty well, but it also tasted rally sweet, which seemed odd since I dont remember any really sweet cigars, and the Joya De Nicaraguas arent supposed to be flavored, so I took a little of the liquid and dabbed it on my tongue and its very sweet. So I start to wonder if the sweetness is coming from the PG or VG, so I taste the pure VG and its really sweet! I then taste the PG and its sweet too, just not as sweet as the VG. Is that normal, is vegetable glycerin supposed to be real sweet, how about propylene glycol? Anyway, I can really taste the cigar flavor and I like 'some' of the sweetness to it, but its also got a wierd after tase that must come from the cigar, so I think I need to try either another brand of cigar, some pipe tobacco or maybe some leaf tobacco if someone actually sells small quantities of it...
