  1. I saw a lot of ppl reviewing this at vapefests live feed, everyone seemed to love it, maybe the price of the silver bullet will go down more now? Hope so

I dunno, but not only is it a 4000 mAH battery, but its a 4000 mAH IMR high drain. I'm still on the battery I got it with a week ago at vapefest, on its factory charge, reading 4.01 and 3.89 under load. So it not only lasts forever, but its consistent through that whole length of time. I don't have any other IMR over 1500 mAH. And even the non-IMR 18650s are only up to 2600 or so.

  2. I got my Ato-Miser in earlier this week. While I am good at repairing computers, I'm really not electronically or mechanically inclined, as my plumbers and electrician bill will attest. After watching the video tutorials Drew has up I was able to make one in about 3 minutes, at a perfect 2.1 Ohms, using a 2.0 wire. No troubles with breaking wires at all. The wires I have are thicker at the ends for winding around the screw, with the resistance important part in the middle where you wind it around the wick.

The top is large enough to drip quite a bit through. The taste is off until you use it for a bit -- at low voltage especially. If you burn it in a bit at high, the taste goes away faster. Drew indicates this in the video, that the coil needs to get blackened. They do seem to work better with VV PVs, as the resistance you get when making one is variable, its easier to adjust the power going to them.

They are probably something I will add into my normal vaping rotation only infrequently. However, if the nasty bureaucrats try to take my vape away I am some common electrical wire away from not being dependent on atomizer suppliers. (Which is the one link we haven't been able to DIY easily before this.)

Like a good geek, I am ready to vape through the Zombie Apocalypse. :)

  3. I am waiting on an order from Ms. Ts and am glad to hear your positive words. I ordered: blueberry muffin,Cinnamon Danish Banana and Caramel Coffee. I am looking for juice with flavors that are strong enough to really taste. I also have the carmel machiotta from liquid express and some mr. bean from tasty vapor coming in this week. It seems most of the ones I have tried are just too weak for my taste.

Ms T's are STRONG and sweet, about the few my dead tastebuds can recognize.. Chocolate brownie and Bananas Foster are amazing.

  4. I'd like to find a really solid Clove, and when I get mixing I'm going for a hot Cinnamon... There's just no end to it! Which is one of the really cool things about vaping.

Give DIY Flavorshack's Clove a try, I've converted clove smokers with it, it actually has that clove mouth numb effect. Only up to 30mg tho.

  5. very sweet tasting and almost made me over vape since being a diabetic I wanted as much of the sweet taste as I could get bc it allowed me to have my vape and sweeten it too!

I know just what you mean, being a diabetic. My friends giggle at my obsession with sweet vapes. You have to try Chocolate Brownie and some of the other concoctions at Ms T's Bakery Essentials. Bananas Foster Coffee is spiffy, so are the fruit flavors. The Chocolate Brownie is like eating brownie batter before it goes in the oven.

Dawn at DIY flavorshackalso has some great sweet flavors, although I find them not as strong flavor as Ms T's. But they are closed till the 18th. Worth the wait though, so save the link. :) Tiramisu, Thin Mint, Horchata, Eggnog, fruit flavors, Cheescakes, strawberry champagne, etc. Dawn also sells some great kits for making your own juices, I just got one and am going to try some of my own

Also had some great tasting sweet stuff from JuicyVapor, mmm peanut butter cup. And MyFreedomSmokes.com.

And last but not least, the Vapor Talk store has a few sweet selections, the Colada is nice and strong, sweet creamy and fruity. The Midnight is light and subtle but sweet. I haven't tried their cheesecake yet.

I CAN have my cake and vape it too! :icecream:

  6. Yes I am and it's not fair. I'm in Nebraska and Brian is in West Virginia and he gets his before I get mine. Now...that's just not right.

I loved mine for a week or two, then I killed it.

Then I killed the fixed one.

Then I killed the new one.

    *cries* I'm a VP-PT killer.

*although kudos to Chris and Jeso for working with me to try to figure out what is killing it.

  7. Welcome TheLostFayth, don't give up, you can find what works for you.

I started with a 510, and most of the time that is what I use. However, I'm a geek, and I like fiddly with carts, juice and modifications. It isn't always as convenient to go out and about with, for that I often use a KR808D-1. Its a two piece unit with an atomizer built into every pre-filled or blank cartridge, which are meant to then be disposable. You can fill and refill them, its just more convenient for me when out or driving. I don't have to mess with carts, attys and getting the cart lined up with the atty right or dripping. Just screw the cartomizer on the battery and go.

Their flavors aren't as good as some of the custom juice, but they aren't bad for the convenience. I like the flavors from vapor4life, they seem to have the most variety in cartomizers.

Up to you, 510 is a great model and my usual vape on a VP1 or VP-PT, but for some people who don't like to fiddle, I recommend the other unit.

  8. Funny!! One time they had me take off my flip flops and they scanned the soles of my bare feet!! Hmmm, didn't get that one at all!!dribble.gif

I had a pair of sneakers with see through soles, "air walk" marketing or something, they still made me take them off.

And no, they aren't too bright. Thankfully I can now flash a badge at them and they realize my security clearance is far higher than theirs and usually leave me be.

  9. Thanks everyone for the PTB info! Main reason I'm asking is not for myself, I'm getting along fine with direct dripping, so far. BUT... since I have been vapeing my hubby and my daughter have started vapeing; and best of all, my Dad has now ordered a 510 for himself!!! My Dad is 81 years old and has smoked cigarettes since he was 9!! I know that the cartridges will be the easiest for him to manage and if I could find a good way for him to restuff his cartridges (or for me to restuff them for him) that might be the way for him to go. He hasn't yet received his package in the mail, so I'll have to wait and see how he likes it but keeping my fingers crossed.

I purchased an e-cig for my 70-something father for christmas, I ordered the KR808D-1 model (available from numerous vendors although I prefer Vapor4Life). This is a two piece with the atomizer and cartridge in one, they can be refilled, but they are meant to be disposable. This is what I used when I go out, just for ease, 510 at home.

I figured it would be far less fiddly for him, and he'd be far more likely to actually use it.

  10. Look for those little zip lock bags that are about the size of a Zippo, after you put one cart in zip the bag almost all the way, roll the bag around the cart to push out air, zip it the rest of the way, and then put a little rubber band around it. That might work.

I found spiffy little ziplock baggies at the craft store that are like 1" square. Fits a cart in on an angle, and doesn't have much air room left inside. We'll see how that works.

And yeah, I'm using GrimmGreen's shredded PTB mod ;)

  11. I have to agree with the Vapermudgeon on this one. ( by the way... the vapermudgeon is really a nice guy. :)) All I do is drip now. It seems to work out better for me & I don't get the taste of burning poly when I run low on juice.

That's okay at home, when I'm at work or driving, I don't want to look like I'm inhaling something illicit.

  12. It could just be your tastebuds, can you taste the juice when you just refill a cart?I cannot taste most of the tobacco flavors at all unless I boost the flavor with flavor drops.I vape mostly fruit and really seem to enjoy them more than I thought. Also when you change flavors and sometimes brands the juices don't mix well and the atty needs cleaned to restore the flavor.E-juice is succeptible to oxidation I would at least put the little rubber caps on maybe breath in to the baggy to displace oxygen with carbon dioxide.

Yep, I mean a few days after I've filled them and they sit in the tackle box they have no flavor and little smell. Whereas when I just fill them they have both.

Didn't know if was the being unsealed, or having them all in the same box. I'll try putting them all in a big ziplock. Maybe seperate baggies for overwhelming smells like Clove and Amaretto.

Wish I knew a place to get all those little baggies, craft store maybe?

  13. In an effort to cut down on my vaping maintenance, I've been refilling carts en-mass so i have 20 or so ready to go. That way I don't have to refill every day, and can grab a flavor I'm in the mood for with little fuss.

I've noticed that ones I've not gotten around to for a week or so seem to have no flavor. Even ones that usually have a strong scent, like chocolate mint.

Do they degrade smell and taste in open air? (as opposed to pre-filled ones that are sealed in plastic until opened.)

Do they all need their own little zip lock baggie?

Would keeping them in the fridge help?

Or do I just need to stick to only keeping a few filled and refilling more often?

    Jen

  14. So, last week I got some 24mg clove flavored juice from a site I can't even find anymore. It's okay, but not quite the throat hit that would remind me of a real clove cigarette. Then, today, in anticipation of my 54mg "base juice" from Totally Wicked, I stopped at the local bakers supply store to pick up some Lorann flavors and a bottle of VG. When I saw the clove oil, I grabbed a dram of that too, and then started wondering about mixing an oil into e-juice. I came home and found THIS RECIPE and I'd love some input before I try it.

I'm not a DIYer, but I've been hunting for a great clove. Trying to convert my friends who smoke those. Finally got one that has that 'hit' you get with a clove, almost made my mouth numb. From Dawn at DIYflavorshack.

  15. 2) What's the carrying case that is preferred?

    4) How do you mark your various flavors in the carts so you know which is which?

    2) I use a tackle-box to hold all the paraphernalia, and a case-logic diabetic travel case when I need to bring along more than I can fit in one of the standard two battery 2 cart cases.

    4) I am extremely AR, so I use a brother label maker 1/4" or 3/8" cartridges to make thin labels with flavor and nic ## on it, they fit in a slim band around the battery end of carts and cartomizers.

  16. Just a note to add, I've gotten the 48mg juice from myfreedomsmokes.com. I've had superior service from Chris - superfast shipping, excellent and tasty juice, occasional upgrade -- I'm a permanent customer. He has some flavors in double strength, which I'm going to try soon too.

Are those double-strengths the kind meant to be vaped as is, or only to cut or be cut? I have some 24mg from MFS, most of it was pretty good, some of the flavors were too subtle for me.

Been loving Ms.T's Bakery Essentials, but she only goes up to 30mg. Awesome rich tasting stuff though.

So many people rave about Geoff and Tastyvapor, I expected more. And since he only sells 30ml bottles I now have 4 mostly full bottles of 36 and 48 that taste like vaping rubbing alcohol to me. :( I can taste the mint in the mint chocolate chip a bit, but I still get the chemical aftertaste. Its a little better dripped on a 306 atty than on the 510, but not much.

Either way, I figure <5 analogs on any given day is way better than 30-40 a day, and I like vaping more otherwise. But I still need the anonymous, I'm addicted to surfing sites, ordering extra's, scoping out mods and trying a billion juices searching for that vaping nirvana. :) :P
