  1. Since rechargeable batteries are only good for so many charges you want to run them completely dead before charging....why use up the limited number of charges by recharging before necessary?
  2. I'd actually been thinking I might try the 10mg before I got the eGo so this was an easy way to transition down
  3. I've actually been vaping less. I just noticed that when I took a couple drags off the new eGo (same liquid I'd been using) I got a nic buzz. I'd guess it's because, with the better vapor production, I would be amping up the amount of nicotine I was absorbing. Anyway, the 10mg works for me in the eGo so I'll just stick with that for awhile. I was just curious if anyone else had noticed the same thing....
  4. I've been using a 510 for over a year and was quite happy with it.......until I tried the eGo . Love the vapor production and battery life (I've been getting about 23 hours out of 1 battery!!!). Anyway, I noticed with the increased vapor production I was getting a nicotine buzz and had to cut my juice down to 10mg from 20 mg. Anyone else notice that or am I just a nicotine wimp? ~Linda~
  5. Also, it's important to note the rather significant viscosity difference between warm/room temperature and cold glycerine mixes. I always recommend that our customers only refill using room temp liquid, say from a sample bottle, while using the fridge for long term storage for precisely this reason. In other words, if you make the mix thin enough to use when cold, it will be really thin (thin enough to leak) at room temp.
  6. Straight VG doesn't need to be refridgerated, but needs to be kept tightly sealed. Also, it should last years if proprly sored. As for the heat, glycerine should be mixed with water (at least 10%) before vaping as this will significantly lower the vaporization temp.
  7. I've accidentally set off the smoke detector in my apartment when heavily vaping, so yes, it is possible. However, this was with our VG juice, so PG, that produces less vapor, might not do this. Granted, I was HEAVILY vaping, and this hasn't happened before or since, so it seems unlikely under normal circumstances.
  8. My cart just started leaking and I've been using the same one with the same filler (a Fluval-like substance) since August. So, five months or there abouts would be my guesstimate as to cart life. ~Adam
  9. Not in the Eastern part of PA near the NJ border, I presume? When I'm not working in the lab, I'm finishing my doctorate in Philly and have found that I can just hop on the train and head to NJ to pick up Everclear (sadly, the store on the border never stocks enough so I still have to order it online). Oh, and I wouldn't add too much acid to e-Liquid. Adding more acid will form nicotine salts and will effectively lower the effectiveness of the liquid. Just an FYI. ~Adam
  10. The way I've found that works best for changing flavors (since taste testing requires a fresh start each time) is to stick a piece of paper towel in the atomizer, inhale a few times 'til it starts to taste a bit dry, remove the paper and unscrew the atomizer, swish the atomizer around in 90% or greater ethanol (or isopropanol, if you have no other choice), blow it out, put a new wad of paper towel in the atomizer to soak up as much of the alcohol as possible, remove the paper, add fresh liquid. It should be a fresh vaping experience. If not, I just repeat the process. Even the most stubborn flavors can be removed in less than five minutes this way.
