About Me
*cut and pasted from my facebook page*
I used to live a pretty crazy life. I started skydiving when I was 20-years old and was instantly addicted. I made 300 jumps my first year in the sport and it became my life. I made 2,500+ jumps and 30= BASE jumps during the 11 years I was in the sport. The most unforgettable moment was a World Record in 1998, which I am proud to have been a part of (here's a link to the story, if you're interested: http://realtravel.com/ottawa-journals-j539012.html
I moved all around for several years (FL, New Orleans and TX), following the sport. I settled down in Dallas for a few years and worked for a liquor importing company as a Sales Rep and State Manager of all the Jagermeister and Grey Goose Vodka promos in Texas. Too much fun! It exactly what I wanted to be doing in my 20's, but priorities change.
I moved back to St. Louis in 1999 and worked full-time @ Quantum Leap for my first year back, then started working in outside sales (telecom industry). I bought a nice house in Kirkwood and was only there a year before I had a devastating house fire. I lost one of my cats, almost everything I owned (includng all three sets of my skydiving gear) and was lucky to get out alive. It took a full year to get back into my house, and shortly after, I got married and had my beautiful daughter, Keira, who has totally changed my life.
Now, I'm a full-time single Mom to her and I love her more than anything in this world. I don't jump anymore, and I miss it every single day....especially the friends, and the indescribable bond we shared. I still have lots of friends in the sport, and I miss them dearly.
I'm extremely busy these days, being a full-time Mom with a very demanding full-time outside sales job in a brutal industry (still in telecommunications). Even so, I'm still very social and love to go out and have fun when I get a chance. I like to go out with friends to karaoke once in a while (yep, we're good too! haha) and I go to Harrah's every month or two to play roulette with my brother. Also, I have a GREAT group of girlfriends whom I love to hang out with every chance I get.
That's me in a nutshell!
