  1. Not sure if it's "not too many care for this device"....but more like "be careful with juice additions in this device". Your correct in the vaping world; some love this, some swear by that. It sounds like you have a nice plan in place, and you may fall into that love the GoGo group. One thing for sure.....you have a great battery here, and options are wide open with you adpaters. Don't see how you can lose.
  2. Using the Vision CE4 and best device yet in LR tank. No hassles, no maintenance, easy pie filling. Consistant hits and nice flavor consistancy. Can't even bring myself to load carto's anymore.
  3. I just toss em. Used to clean cartos, but found if they're performing badly and not producing good vape anymore? They won't be worth washing and one may spend frustrating minutes or hours messing with them. Put another way.......found it almost better to run them with degradation for another day, because that's what a used carto taste like anyway....after they're washed. Do have a couple of small/compact fishing lure boxes as mentioned. Great way to keep things in order.
  4. Valuable post and a good reminder. Glad your OK and it should keep us alert to battery storage, carry, and potential hazards. To indlude proper care with laptop and celphone devices as well....indluding never running any of these devices while being charge. Not good.
  5. Seems to be love and hate. Owned it for a couple of weeks, and as previous poster stated? Could not justify loading that much juice in a carto, and for sure one must be certain on the flavor before loading. Also found the carto needs topping off much more than initial volume should dictate. Draw was very airy and not to my liking. Device has a very strong following and YMMV. Battery was well worth the purchase and very stout. Your wise to have obtained the adapters and it seems 50-50 as to whether you'll stick with the stock carto. Be sure of your juice?
  6. Don't think the tank is a problem for new vapors starting out, if everything works OK, and your a light to medium ex smoker. It's not for the heavy or hard hitting vapor person. For the latter, it would seem you need cartos, or even an atomizer. My experience with the LR C atty (being a medium/heavy vape person) is the wick does not feed the atty fast enough. If your not careful, the LR will eat up the fed juice and nasty things happen after that. They will also readily burn juices and I got rid of them in a hurry while ordering the SR version. (much better) The Ego C is right on my borderline for vaping and I've not been satisfied with them in the long run. I've since moved on and will list the remaining parts in the classifieds. Would still give them an endorsement for light to medium vapors and they are stellar for those times used. Being I have to reach for something else during heavy use has me parting with them.
  7. Agree with Bob as well. However, this person is asking for help in a purchase already made....be it subject to scrutiny or no. Cartos are not perfect, atties are hit and miss, as are Ego C atties and tanks. Point being....I've had cartos fail, atties junk, and all manner of things go wrong in QC and production. In this case....it could be a vapor person not hitting the device correctly. I figure it's a final attempt to assist without throwing away the purchased product. Your suggestion for future purchase are valid and most agreed upon. I hate to see someone in distress with current vape equipment purchased. It could be we need to help a fellow vapor in not throwing money down the drain. It's most discouraging, and if we can get him/her though this impass and on to better things afterword? Gotta try?
  8. True to a point. Kinda fed up with all of them at this point. Cartos have become a PITB and atties were always such. This tank combo is just a reflection of not going quite far enough. When it works, it's great. Have moved on to another delivery device, but those who need troubleshooting with their purchase may still need assistance until the final choice is made. Just loaded 2 flanged 1.7 cartos in DCT tank today and both are fail. Had a couple of 2.0's last week which were not good. In this case and thread.....it may be that a new vapor person is not hitting the device correctly and time will tell if it's the product, or adjustment in approach is required.
  9. Still sounds like you may need to push the wick up in the atty. When the tank is .50 or less full, the air vacume is more pronounced. Displacement has your air pushing much stronger on the wick and forcing the juice into atty cup. It almost sounds in this case......there is no wick at all (though we know there is). Is this your first experience with e cig? Question is not meant to be disparaging at all.....but if so, you may need to take lighter and longer draws? This concept is quite the opposite of an analog. With ecigs, the lighter the draw, the better the hit. If your drawing this thing too hard, AND, the wick is too low in the spike.....this would bring on the problems you describe. From the factory these things are not that far off, especially 3 out of 5 in a pack. Lets go backward and figure out what we might be doing. Before adjusting or messing with wicks, can you confirm the light and slow draw? Gurgling sound tends to be an indicator of hitting too hard. Steady as she goes, and feather that accelerator?
  10. Gotcha McG. Just checking and did it once myself....causing the consequent mess you describe. A bit puzzled on this one however. Normally a bad spike/tank seal will result in leaking all the way through the fill. Every draw creates a vacumme and feeds the atty. If it's only happening with one atty assembly, it could be your wick is too far down in the spike? If it's happenning to ANY atty with the same tanks.....then your new tanks are the ticket, I would think. Do keep us posted?
  11. Are we making sure the tank is snapped down tight in the cone? Are you getting the proper hits up until the quarter full point?
  12. Did try it on a Boge 2.0 and does work, though not near as one would like. To saturate filler with this means it's hard to run it back out for the next flavor. I stopped messing with cleaning cartos a few months back. It's not worth the hassle and one only gets another half life (or less) out of cleaned carto and I just toss em. YMMV Just place one drop of eraser on the coil after dry burning, place spike on atty, insert tank loaded with eraser, and vape a few times until you taste the eraser. I don't actually vape this but it will not hurt to inhale it. The first few pulls will be kinda nasty. Flavor changes are a snap with no nasty taste. Just place the eraser tank, hit until you no longer taste the previous flavor. Do the change.
  13. Hello Mas. I use this stuff. http://vapetherockie...&products_id=20 Some say it is just a VG clear mixture, but I have my reservations on that. If this were true? Would not most vendors be offering it? Not a DYI person, so cannot attest to content.....but it works great. It's vapable and not nasty or chemical at all. As mnetioned, I just fill a tank with this and insert tank after flavor changes and dry burns. Soon as you can detect the cleaner, it's good to go. Dry burning atties is nasty if you just insert your next juice and vape. It'll take half a tank of yucky to remove the burnt ash taste. Not to mention your whole tank will become contaminated as the recycling juice will be taste terrible. Your in CO? Should be hop/skip/jump to obtain this product. Here's one persons take, and I concur. http://vapenstein.co...y-flavor-eraser
  14. Dry burn it. Take a small utensil (I use a laptop repair tiny screwdriver) and pry the spike from the atty body. Insert body back onto holding cup and place cone as usual. Hit the buttton for 3-5 seconds and watch for the smoke. Blow the smoke away, repeat until you see the red glow all across the coil. You will now have grey ash on the coil which is the burned away VG juice residue. I use a trimmed back flux brush (.50 at local hardware) to brush away the residue. Atty will come back to life and is now good to go. VG juice and sugary flavors are hard on the Ego C. I have great luck with my one and only menthol, as it burns real clean. PG juices tend to ignite quicker and atty will last longer between dry burns. Atty eraser is an absolute must for me and the Ego C. Don't even bother with atties anymore and test all juices through the C tank. I have one tank filled with atty eraser and run it following dry burns and flavor changes. It's good stuff.
  15. Great OP and have used a similar chart for reference (though not as detailed as this one). I know there are those who will differ greatly, but I've stuck with single battery 3.7 volts for reasons already mentioned. It does the job and my goal was to quit the analogs for good. I could now quit vaping much easier, if need be. If one wants a hotter vape or more kick.....just add a 1.5 carto to a 3.7 device and let her rip.
