I’ve been vaping for a while now, and honestly, most problems I had at the beginning were caused by simple mistakes. Nothing serious, just small things that made the device perform worse than it should.

Here are a few things I wish I knew earlier:

• Don’t ignore battery levels
I used to run devices until they completely died. Besides being annoying, low battery also made the flavor weaker sometimes. Now I recharge earlier and everything feels more consistent.

• Filling too much liquid causes problems
More liquid doesn’t always mean better. A lot of leaking issues came from overfilling pods or tanks.

• Slow puffs work better than aggressive hits
Especially with newer mesh coil devices, smoother draws usually give better flavor and less harshness.

• Old coils ruin flavor
At first I thought my liquid was the problem, but most of the time it was just a worn-out coil. Once the taste feels burnt or muted, replacing it helps immediately.

• Keep the device clean
Even quick cleaning helps. Dust, leftover liquid, and condensation can affect airflow more than people expect.

• Cheap liquid usually tastes cheap
Tried random low-cost juices before and regretted it pretty quickly. Bad flavor and coils burned faster too.

• Heat is terrible for vapes
Leaving a vape inside a hot car is one of the easiest ways to ruin both the battery and the liquid flavor.

• Choosing the right device matters
Not everyone needs huge cloud devices. Smaller pod systems are honestly much easier for daily use if you prefer something simple.

• Airflow settings change everything
I didn’t pay attention to airflow before, but adjusting it slightly can completely change flavor and smoothness.

• VG/PG ratio makes a difference
Higher VG feels smoother and gives bigger clouds. Higher PG gives a stronger throat hit. Took me a while to understand why some liquids felt so different.

Anyway, just wanted to share this for newer vapers or anyone having random issues with their device. Most of these are easy fixes once you notice them.

Curious what mistakes everyone else made when they first started vaping 👀
