  1. Top does not come off, you'll have to use the condom method, 510 carts that had caps that popped off in my mouth thoroughly annoyed me as I would take a cap in the back of the throat and get a mouthful of liquid. I talked to many people about good voltages to use. I personally use my fistpack anywhere between 4.2 and 4.9 under load, and have heard good reviews of them working up until 6v where they will pop due to burning liquid too fast and the atty drying out quickly.

  2. I stated earlier it appears to be a mix because I saw this on the mad scientist page:

"Now it’s not entirely accurate anymore. They are still hand mixed by me, but then bottled and shipped to my good friends at Liquid Xpress. As such, it’s no longer possible to obtain them without Glycerine added. Obviously, the shipping information no longer applies, as you’ll get them from Liquid Xpress. I still wash my hands first, though."

But regardless, it sounds like there is a real issue with the VT juice...none that I ever ran across before or have even seen referenced.

Actually let me specify for you all :) . Our regular e-liquids are PG based, not a mix of PG / VG, with a few exceptions. The holiday flavors (seasonal flavors) were VG, and the "The 23" (our dr. pepper) is VG based, the rest are totally PG based!

  3. VG - breaks down into Glucose in your system. This can throw sugar levels out of whack so you need to be careful and monitor your levels, if you see them rising or slipping I'd switch to PG.

PG - breaks down into Lactic Acid. This is one of the reasons it drys out the throat, irritating it, and can make you feel slightly achy the next day as if you had worked out.

Now with those issues out of the way, vaping, if continuously is still putting an irritating foreign material (vapor) into your throat on a consistent basis, you'll find the coughing stops coming from the lungs like with smoking, but instead issues from the throat.

You can try VG and that should help some, and then drink water when you vape to keep your throat moist. Other than that, eventually your body should become accustomed to the vaping like it did with smoking.

  4. Wayne mentioned that they were about to upgrade to brown glass bottles and I quickly talked him out of it. Sure glass is better for long term storage, but it is too easy to spill and it is a nightmare when it breaks. Also, the colored bottles prevent you from seeing the true color of the juice (very important IMO). My biggest pet peeve is big labels that prevent you from seeing how much is left in the bottle.

Maybe, I just like looking at my juice. lol

I am a cheap bastard that drinks coke. When there is a good sale on, I buy a lot! I found that plastic 2 liters go stale within a month or two, while cans hold up well, for more than a year. [What has this got to do with the price of cheese in Switzerland? I have no clue, but it seemed relevant when the thought entered my mind]. The point is, that if carbonation can leak out under pressure within a months time, nic can evaporate through the plastic within (the supposed) '2 year shelf-life' of the juice.

That said, I just had a friend use some 8 month old Chinese 36mg juice that was stored in a Chinese plastic bottle. He has not complained.

I am certainly glad that HG's finally upgraded the bubble wrap they use. I used to hold my breath while unwrapping delivery's. I don't even want to know what the old stuff was made from! lol

    Rusty,

While I agree that people like to see the color of the juice, clear bottles (either plastic or glass) can speed up the half-life process of deterioration from UV light. Think of e-juice as a beer, it will get skunky if left out in the sun.

  5. We use plastic for 10 / 15ml bottles, but once someone orders larger bottles (30ml and 60ml) then we move to a cobalt blue glass, it comes with a glass eyedropper top. I agree and use the plastic bottles for day time usage but the glass is nice when ordering large quantities I'm going to store, and the dropper is nice for filling up the little bottles.

  6. "Propylene glycol, the primary ingredient in the electronic cigarette cartridge, may be a powerful deterrent against pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases when vaporized and inhaled according to a study by Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson. Decades before the e cigarette was invented, a study was conducted by Dr. Robertson of the University of Chicago's Billings Hospital in 1942 on inhalation of vaporized propylene glycol in laboratory mice. A more in-depth article was printed in the 1942 issue of TIME Magazine for November 16th. "Dr. Robertson placed groups of mice in a chamber and sprayed its air first with propylene glycol, then with influenza virus. All the mice lived. Then he sprayed the chamber with virus alone. All the mice died."

    Exactly.

    Check out this VT thread.

PG does act as a sterilizing agent. The problem is it's inability to distinguish between good and bad bacterial and viral growth, so while it does help deter sickness, it can also make your body's natural defenses weaker as well.

  7. Actually, depending on where you spill it, (inside of your wrist for example filling a bottle) it can absorb quite quickly and to great affect, fingers are very calloused so absorption is slowed if on the finger tips or palm. webbing in between fingers will absorb quickly though. So to take some care, usually your next to a sink or a paper towel. If it makes you nervous just clean off the liquid, and assess your condition. If you feel faint, or dizzy, try to sit down and relax without VAPING. the last thing you need at that point is more nicotine :)

  8. Just a note, I know this is an old thread but just to let people know, I do a lot of e-liquid work and have gained quite a bit of knowledge about it. The big issue is this:

VG - breaks down into Glucose in your system. This can throw sugar levels out of whack so you need to be careful and monitor your levels, if you see them rising or slipping I'd switch to PG.

PG - breaks down into Lactic Acid. This is one of the reasons it drys out the throat or if your a beginning vapor, can make you feel slightly achy the next day as if you had worked out.

    Hope that helps.

  9. Hey all I just wanted to say I'm sorry I haven't checked this forum in awhile I got totally confused with all the new forums and lost the link to this one, Thanks Donley for pushing me back onto the right path. Again if people have questions and I don't answer them right away please definately feel free to email me at rob@liquidxpress.com

Florida - I don't know anything about mixing lorann's flavorings as ours are different, ours are from the liquid manufacturers in china. So it's flavoring from the source.

KBB - I'm sure that any type of "tobacco" flavoring may bring it back to life, or somthing that might blend well with a tobacco, maybe a cherry?

Machinist - Our PG 36mg is not going to dry up for awhile, unfortunately though or VG has. We're only selling up to 26mg VG unflavored now.

Hope that helps all and I'll be around a lot more now.

  10. I use a 510 as my main vape and only have had this issue once with an atty, CAUTION if your going to try the method below, be willing to lose the atty if it doesn't work :P .

I boiled baking soda and water and a little salt (for bubbling effect and higher boiling temp). then when it started boiling I dropped in the atty for 5 min. took it out, sat it on paper towels to cool then blew it out with my mouth on both ends to rid of excess water, then used a hair dryer. After that (I have a manual) I took some disgusting draws off it while holding the button on for a lot longer than normal to burn off/ finish drying out the atty.

After that it came back to life, not as good as new but it lasted another month until I finally didn't want to deal with it again.

    Hope that helps!

  11. Hi All,

I'm Rob from LiquidXpress, I know I'm not allowed to promote the site, so I was turned on to this site by some customers and thought I would try to get involved here as well, I'm open to mixing questions because it's something I do a lot of myself, we also DO NOT sell PV's so, I'm just another guy that offers his view on PV's if you have questions please let me know! I'm happy to help.

    Rob
