  1. I found a few more I'd like to add...

Banana Walnut from FREEDOM SMOKES (tastes and smells just the banana nut bread) Mmmm...yummy! :animier:

More really good flavors from VAPOR STATION...RY4, VS4, Frisco (close to 555), Cafe Sumantra, and Cafe Expresso...his shipping for sample kit takes awhile, but worth the wait. Reg sized bottle orders come quicker.

  2. Considering you have both, is there any differences between the ego and riva? Do you like one better?

Performance wise...I see no difference at all. Both take the same amount of time to charge, and the battery life on a charge is also the same. I have heard that some people have an issue with the button on the eGo, but I haven't experienced that at all. Ease of use, weight, style...no differences there either. I personally prefer the black and gold color of the Riva a little bit more than the stainless steel. But that's really...REALLY... reaching for a reason to pick one over the other. Both are very sleek and quite handsome.

If they both broke down tomorrow, all things being equal in performance...I'd buy the Riva again because of the low price. Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful...but outside of price and color...I can't say I prefer one better than the other. They are both lean, mean...vapin' machines. You're gona' love it no matter which way you go

  3. haha, maybe this time next year! Now wouldn't that be something! Already the big pharma doesn't know what to do with the loss of money I used to spend on cough syrup/drops/nyquil/dayquil/contact/alavert/... now they'll lose the geritol and Olay money! lol.

It took 8 months for me til the rosieness showed up. Hang in there!!

Not at 8 months yet Uma...so apparently there is still some hope for me! I'll be looking forward to those rosy cheeks and lips...:baby:

  4. I have a new side effect this month. Rosey color has overtaken my cheeks and lips. Say what???!!! I've NEVER had rosey anything! lol (smoked since 10yrs old)

Hey "rosy cheeks"...dang, why didn't I get that? :wtf: I'd love to have rosy cheeks again (that is without painting them on LOL!)

Good for you...by next month, you'll look 20 again! :showoff: It could happen...

  5. My husband is a retired medical doctor (who specialized in Occupational and Environmental Medicine) and says that (in his opinion) getting too much nicotine is not the problem. Its the reverse. The nicotine in ecigs is actually far LESS than you are getting in analogs even at the highest strengths. According to the studies he has researched on the topic, approximately one-tenth of the nicotine in analogs. You could vape all day, and not reach the same nicotine level as you would with analogs. There is no data that even comes close to concluding that vaping somehow makes the nicotine level more intense.

Grogginess, lethargia, sleepiness or sleeplessness, restlessness, edginess, headaches, irritability, etal...are ALL classic symptoms of withdrawal. We had all of those symptoms when we first switched to ecigs. It improved for both of us in less than a week. Its actually probably better to start out at a higher level of nicotine in the beginning as it will lessen the severity of withdrawal symptoms. That is likely why DayVape did not experience much (or anything) in the way of symptoms...she started at 36mg, a very high level. I started at 24mg and then gradually cut back to 18mg and I am now gradually going to 11mg. You will still go thru some type or degree of withdrawal symptoms (tho that may vary in degree from person to person). And especially at the onset because that is when you are at the peak of withdrawal.

My sister and brother, who quit at the same time we did, went thru similar symptoms. None of us have those symptoms now.

    Just another opinion...

  6. My dental hygenist was amazed by how white my teeth are looking. She was so impressed, she actually went to get the dentist (who was with another patient, no less) and had me show him my ecigs. They did mention that nicotine does still does affect your gums somewhat, and no nicotine was the ideal. However, he felt that the amount of nicotine was so much less with ecigs that the improvement from analogs would be significant. And the absence of tars and other carcinogens was a huge step in the right direction. He was so enthusiastic about it...he asked if I would send him some cards from various suppliers, so he could recommend them to his patients who smoke!

So,I think that naysayer dentist...needs to find out a lot more about ecigs before he starts giving out that kind of advice. What a jerk.

  7. You are vaping more because you are actually getting much less nicotine than you did with an analog, even at the highest mg strengths. So, your body is simply trying to make up for it cue-ing you to vape more. But that "urgency" feeling does decrease over time and you will find yourself vaping at a more reasonable pace. And ultimately needing less and less nicotine.

I found that initially, I was trying to use the same smoking pattern as I did with an analog. Remember, once lit, you had to smoke it down to the filter within a certain time period (because after all it was burning up). Since ecigs don't "burn up"...there you are, still vaping away for the rest of the day :smoke: LOL! Unless you empty out a cartridge...or your battery dies, you just keep going. Its takes awhile to subconsciously (and consciously)adjust to just setting it down..knowing it will still be there when you come back to it. No hurry required.

Old habits die hard. But it will happen.

  8. Yes, the Riva and eGo chargers are interchangeable...I have both brands and have often used the Riva charger for the eGo...and visa versa.

I bought my eGo 1300mah battery from Wordupecig dot com (it mighty lo-o-ng :showoff: but works great). I use the same eGo charger for that one as I do for my 650 and 900mah eGOs. Must admit, I only use the 1300mah at home...it looks kinda scary out in public. I find the 900mah serves me better as its good for home and away, and doesn't look like I'm carrying an explosive device into a restaurant. :laser:

Wordup discount code was "newyears" last month when I ordered it. Not much of a discount, but every little bit helps. Happy Vaping

  9. PEACH...you have to try PEACH! :animier: I've tried several from different vendors and while all are quite good...the one at Backwoods Brew is awesome. Tastes like a ripe, juicy hunk of peach is sitting right on the edge of your tongue. Have no idea how he accomplishes that. In fact, I had no idea that I even liked peaches that much before tasting the e-liquid,LOL. He also has one called Applewood I like, but it is more of a tobacco flavor. Other than that, I haven't found a cappuccino yet that I haven't enjoyed. And for your husband, there are several tobacco flavors at Vapor Station that both my husband and I consider our current favorites. Phoenix, Tampa, Texas, and Tennessee at the top of the list, but there are others that make the grade as well. The best part of vaping is trying all the flavors...so many flavors, so little time! Have fun! (and get the PEACH!!! )

  10. Welcome!

Price being an issue, the Riva might be a good model for you as well-- I just received mine last week, and I am in love with it.I got it in titanium and it is gold and sparkly, not looking like a tobacco ciggy! It looks just like the Ego, except the button that you press is soft & smaller that the Ego button, which is hard plastic and a bit larger. You still get the crazy-long battery life-- One battery lasts me through the day. I just grab a charged one in the morning and put the one from the day before on the charger. I have not tried an Ego, but from what I hear, the Riva is the same thing but a bit cheaper. (Please someone correct me if there is a major performance difference that I am unaware of!

What she says! I have both the Riva and the eGO, and both are great. The Riva is definitely less money, but I must say its every bit as good as my eGO. Actually I think it better looking. I got the black one with gold trim...very sophisticated and sleek looking. Like every newbie, I started out with the smaller cigarette looking models, but the constant recharging really gets to you after you get into some serious vaping. Both my eGO (650mah and the Riva (750mah) get about the same amount of time on a charge (about 8 hours). The eGO does have the option of a larger battery though and I don't think the Riva does. But I haven't noticed that really being an issue so far. I also have an eGO 900mah battery and a 1300mah battery (its like major lo-o-ong). I use the big one at home, as its sorta scary looking in public LOL! The eGO 900 does last about 12-14 hours if that has any bearing on your decision. I don't think you will be unhappy with either model...good luck!

  11. Just the paperclip... and you can do it from both ends of your carto and wiggle it around to fluff and re-canter the filler material. I have one handy at all times because cartos do tend to get a tighter draw as time goes on. This really takes care of that issue and also help to allow the filler to soak up more juice!

Hey, I just tried that and it really works! Been vaping for 3 months now and never thought to do that. Who knew? Amazing difference. I also recommend using Boge cartos...I've experimented with several different brands and keep going back to them. My husband and I go thru tons of cartos because we are testing a lot of new flavors and use a new carto for each one. We've never had a bad Boge yet...can't say the same for the other brands. Thanks so much for the great tip DayVape!

  12. Or if anyone knows of a good supplier for a European fellow to use, please.

I would highly recommend Liberty Flights. I use their USA branch, but they also have a UK site. Most of the time, I get a customer service rep from the UK (Abe) when I email with questions etc. Always very helpful, knows his products well, and all with good humor too. Their prices on this side of the pond, are excellent. I imagine you will find the same type of pricing in the UK as well. Their e-liquids are superb, and they also sell pure flavorants so you can customize any e-liquid you have. I just had two of my friends order from Liberty and they are as impressed as I am. I had a problem once with a defective Joye eGO pass thru and even tho it was just past its warranty, Abe replaced it immediately without waiting for me to send the old one back. It was at my door in 3 days and I live in the Hawaiian Islands. Shipping super fast and here in the USA its only $2.99...to Hawaii. I frankly, don't know how they can do it that cheaply. They also have a discount code right there on their site. Its been 20% off for the past 3 months. Give them a try. BTW, you will get past that "wanting a cigarette look" in about a month (all newbies feel the same way on that one). Once you try something like an eGO or a Riva, you will never use those wimpy cigarette things again LOL! You can vape all day on one battery charge. Great performance, awesome vapor, and actually they look sort of sexy. I get lots of compliments on mine, from men and women alike. Good luck and welcome to Vaping...tell Abe, his pesty customer from Hawaii says Aloha.

  13. Currently there are bills in the following states CA, IL, MD, and NY. If your aware of any other states post back here and on any other electornic cigarette forum. We need to band togeather on this.

Chrisopher...as I understand the california bill SB882, The state is ONLY banning sales of ecigs to anyone under age 18 years old. I don't see that as a problem. It does have nicotine in it. I think we need to pick our battles and focus our efforts on states that are trying to ban sales and use of the ecig completely. The current CA ban is really nothing more than what the industry is already doing on their own...which is not selling to minors. Every site I've entered says that. Is there an issue I am misunderstanding?
