  1. Thanks for the reply m8. I'll keep it within that 3.2 from now on. I'm using a 50/50 blend and the juice is Vape the rainbow from Texas select. I've rewicked this about 15 times now and I think the latest might be the best. I think I might not of been using enough cotton. Its got a good tension through it now.

  2. Hey all, this is my first drip setup. I wanted to get a feel for building and whether or not it was worth investing into.

I picked up 30 and 28 gauge Kanthal. I wrapped 9 wraps with 28 gauge and it came out to 1.5 ohms after pinching and getting some coat on it?

The question I have is I'm using this on a Vamo V5, I have a Aw Imr 18650 battery inside and I think it's rated for 10 amps , but what is the Vamo V5s amp limit? I've read 3 then I've seen 5. If either or am I able to push it past 15 Watts? Or will it regulate the voltage down?

Another side question is to how am I suppose to wick this thing? I have a Omega Clone RDA and besides the fact that it's a pain in the *** to build on, I really can't wick for **** either. I'm using organic cotton and trying to pass it through the micro coil, but either I'm choking it or I'm burning it. I get huge clouds.. It just tastes sub par. I honestly got better flavor out of my nautilus mini.

Thanks for the replys in advance.

  3. I think I have a button top 18650 it's not completely flat like my 18350s. I've tried about everything other then taking the 510 apart and removing the rubber piece. I take one vape off it'll shut off right after. It'll work for consecutive chain vaping but once I set it down it won't turn back on unless I remove the battery and put it back in about 5 times then I repeat the cycle. It checks out to be genuine. I did the test where you hold all 3 buttons down then it displays a series of numbers.

  4. Thanks for the reply guys. I'm definitely about to take this thing back. It has shut off on me several times. I have to remove the battery completely and put it back in to turn it on. Recently it's now spitting juice that's smoking through the air. I think that's because of the new bvc coil I put in, but had no problems last night. I'm kinda scared to vape this thing now lol.

Edit : It's just not turning on at all now.

Edit 2 : It turned back on after 2 minutes. Battery is at 3.5 o.o

  5. Hey guys, I just picked up this Vamo V5 from my local vape shop and had some concerns. When I was about to purchase the kit, the manager walked over and said that they're gonna be giving me this TrustFire charger for free since the one that came in the kit caught her house on fire.. Are these batterys safe to stack or just use in general? I picked up a IMR 18650 2000 mAh just in case. Here's a link to the batterys I think I received. http://www.fasttech.com/products/1271001. The 18650 is made by a company called QIXU. I really can't find any information on these. Anyone pick this kit up before? Is it safe lol?

  6. Up that to three batteries, three tanks, and one 5-pack of coils. You never know when your back up will need a back up. Seriously. :)

Spinner and my Ego, Nautilus Mini and my Mini Pro 2 and a 5 pack of BVC Coils and 2 10ml of liquid all in my car :)

What I've noticed since I quit smoking a week ago is that my smell and taste are definitely alot better.

    My farts are just rancid.

My constant clogged nose is actually clearing up.

My limbs don't fall asleep when I take a nap at work lol <--

I feel like a genuine hipster now with my flannel, beanie and e cig.

  7. 3.5v is too low for a 1.8 ohm coil. No wonder you think your Spinner isn't working right. Go up to 3.7v and vape. Go up a little more. Vape. Keep doing that until you start getting a little bit of a burnt taste and then back it down a notch. That will be your sweet spot for that juice in your tank. :)

I've been watching a couple videos and just checked Aspires website and they say that the ceramic material they put in them are heat resistant. http://www.aspirecig.com/news/news175.html

I just cleaned my coils today for the several time hoping they would preform better, but I think the problem I was having was that I wasn't letting them dry out enough. I just popped in my coil and took about 15 pass through vapes ranging from 3.3 up to 4.3 and I'm starting to get my flavor back. Have you tried this Tameiki?

  8. What voltage did you have your Spinner at? That could've been it. With a 1.8 ohm coil I usually run it on my Spinners at 3.8v to 4.0v depending on the juice I have in the tank at the time.

I have it set about 3.5V. The guy at the shop put mine up to 15 Watts and I still got flavor.12.5 W was definitely the sweet spot. I tried looking up to see if other people have battery problems, but haven't found anything. I just assumed if it stopped holding a charge or the VV was messed up I would notice it.

  9. Thanks for the reply guys! I went up to my local vape shop and the guy there let me throw my Nautilus Mini on his Vamo and it tasted great! Could it be that my Spinner is going bad? I've tried cleaning the connections and its still not that great. I don't think I have vapers tongue, but I really don't know. I tried to up my ratio on my juices from 50/50 to 70 PG 30 VG and I had a complete allergic reaction. I'm not quite sure what to do other than upgrade my PV. Once again thanks for the replies guys.

  10. 4.5v at 1.8 is close to 11.5 watts which is way high and if it was the 1.6 ohm would be higher than that....

You really dont want to push much more than 8 watts or about 3.8 volts for best coil life.

Oh alright, Yeah that is probably what happened. The extra coil that came in the package is labeled as a 1.8 ohm. I really was chain vaping it :p. Thanks for the quick reply

  11. Hey guys, I took your advice on the recent thread I made and upgraded to the Nautilus Mini on my Spinner. The question I have is that when I first got it, which was yesterday, it was absolutely amazing. I mean you could taste the flavor on your tongue and lips and now its become sub par. I first noticed it after I refilled my tank. I was able to have it cranked up to about 4.5 V and was getting huge clouds and amazing flavor. Now I have it set to about 4 V and its become really harsh on my throat with even less flavor. I'm not really quite sure if this is a common thing or not. I kept reading that it was supposed to get even better after you break it in. Any help is much appreciated, Thanks :]

  12. Thanks for the reply guys. Yeah I'm starting to think those are knock offs aswell. I went today and purchased some Kanger Tech 2.2ohm coils and they work 10x better. I can actually turn my spinner up to a higher voltage. I also checked with the shop today and they said their Juices are all 50/50. I went down to a 18 and picked up a 30ml bottle of Blackberry lemonade for about 16$ and it taste amazing. I'm definitely considering getting that Nautilus Mini, but the shop wanted 42$ for it... I've seen it online from about 20 to 27 dollars, but not really sure what vendor to go to since I seem to have a habit of buying clones.

  13. Welcome to Vapor Talk. :)

I'm not sure what you mean by "...try to adjust it to receive a bigger drag". Are you looking for more vapor? If so, that's a juice issue with a possible tweak on coils, IMO. More VG content in your juice means more vapor. Too much VG (more than 30PG/70VG) and it'll gunk up your coils faster.

You have a great set up with the Vision Spinner. I'd go with an Aspire Nautilus mini with 1.8 ohm coils. This tank lets you adjust airflow, it's a little wider than the Spinner in diameter but the beauty ring makes it look nice if a bit top heavy. The tank you have in the picture looks kinda like a Vision Victory. I may be wrong but if I'm not, keep a watch on it as those will develop a leak and your juice will wind up everywhere.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did some searching on the websites shop and I believe I have a Pro Tank Mini. To answer your question when I say drag, I do mean to pull a bigger vapor hit. Thanks for the suggestion about the Aspire Nautilus Mini, with more air flow would I achieve a bigger pull or just a smoother drag? I'm currently vaping 24mg nicotine content in my juice because I was a pretty heavy smoker. What would you suggest for a bigger vapor cloud?

  14. Hey all. I'm a pretty new vaper and wanted some suggestions on the purchase I made yesterday. I just quit smoking a few days ago because of cost issues and just the general concern of my health. I've tried quitting before, but the drag on the vape never seemed to quell my urge. I purchased the 900 mAh Vision spinner and some tanks from my local shop by my house and its been fine as of late, but I know that purchasing online is definitely the cheaper route to go. I was looking for some suggestions on where I could buy some good E-juice and tanks online. My other issue is that now that I have this Vision spinner, it lets me change the voltage on the bottom, but when I try to adjust it to receive a bigger drag, my juice just taste burnt. I can't really find that sweet spot. I'm looking for something that is compatible with my Vision and Ego-T and lets me really crank up that voltage. I'll post a picture below so that you can see what I have because I'm not really sure. All help is much appreciated and sorry if this is a redundant question.
