  1. I am so transparent! :D

PV you're my new best friend! You live a charmed life, for sure. If I started making beer I'd probably have to quit my job so I could stay home to nurse it and keep it safe and happy for consumption. Sigh. Well, maybe one fine day.

I'll vote with Brian though, unworthy.gif Amen!

Thats the beautiful thing though. I tend to my beer at home, then its off to work...to make more beer.

  2. Ok - I haven't had this happen, but it sparks a question I've wondered about for a while. If it's condensing on hair upon exhale, can't it be doing this in our lungs? I've wondered if we could be slowly building up liquid in our lungs from vaping. Also, some poeple have talked about when "stealth vaping", holding it in longer so there's no vapor when you exhale. Again - if there's no vapor when you exhale, doesn't that mean the vapor has liquified in your lungs? Maybe I should start a new topic for this.

I would imagine that if the vapor was building up in our lungs in any substantial amount, most of you "veteran vapers" would have had a pretty bad case of phenomena by now.

    No mustache here though...sorry.

  3. That would be why it is wise to have a few attys in rotation. I would recommend keeping 1 for tobacco flavors and 1 for fruity (I don't do menthol--except when I have a cold) and 1 reserved just for menthol. If you don't have enough attys yet, try rinsing the atty and drying thoroughly--It will take a while to get the flavor out.

Good to know thank you...I am not a huge Menthol person either and this bottle will probably last until its expired, but I do love a good Menthol when the wife and I go snowboarding

Would the "mint" flavors pretty much be the same thing?

  4. Keep in mind that any alcohol content in the vapor is going to be even lower than in liquid form because of a vaporization process. The heat of the atomizer is going to burn off a significant portion of any alcohol. Mouthwash, on the other hand, is not diluted in any way, and some of them contain a pretty high volume of alcohol as a primary ingredient. I would be shocked if you were able to trigger your interlock after vaping.

I completely agree with you, but I can understand the concern from his end as well. We have a breathalyzer at work behind the bar for our customers (some people its just hard to tell if you should be pouring them another or not) so its not a problem for me to check just to put his mind at ease.

  5. Ok...so I received my Watermelon, Strawberry, Marlboro, and Marlboro Menthol today.

So far, both the Strawberry and the Watermelon have great flavor and a very good amount of vapor...only thing I wish, is that there was a bit more throat hit (no biggie)

Still waiting on my java shipment...still out:

    Cappuccino Swirl

    Coffee

    Kona Coffee Mint

P.S. anyone know how the heck to get the menthol taste out? Flavors are still great, but now everything has a slight menthol coolness to it.

I will certainly be checking these guys out for other flavors...definitely worth the price.

  6. Hey wow, thanks man, thats the answer I was looking for!!! but do let me know what happens with the cappuccino flavor because this stuff really has a definite liquor smell to it. I got a bigass bottle of it for mad cheap at rocky mountain vapors. I asked them directly the other day and I still havnt gotten an answer back from them. The people at nicotine nirvana were alot quicker and also told me straight up they dont know. How long do you think its gonna be until you get your cappuccino? im using it as a nighttime vape for now, but i need to know without a doubt because of the implecations that may result. Im very impressed with the speedy answers ive been getting back from everyone here at VT!! This so far has been an incredible experiment though. I do know that on march 11 im going in to get this breathalyzer calibrated and they have thier own machine at the site for this very purpose. problem is thats 8 days away and a 5 hour drive. :wallbash: oh well, eventually i will know for an undoubting fact. Keep on working with that breathalizer. It could save jailtime for alot of people!

I just ordered my cappuccino on Saturday/Sunday, but I will let you know when I get it :)

  7. thanks!! Im just so worried about this cappucinno flavor i got because it almost seems to have a liquor smell to it. maybee its just the smell of the extracts or something, but Im definetly hoping to get some solid feed back in regards to this... theres got to be someone out there on VT that actually owns a breathaliizer and would test it out. I actually heard somewhere that theres an i phone app with a breathalizer.

wow though, everclear in the juice? holy freakin crap! I bet that keeps the atty nice and clean!LOL

Ok, so I tried the couple different juices I have on me here (Marlboro, 555, and Strawberry) and nothin at all on the breathalyzer. I even took a drag and vaped directly into it...still nothing

My cappuccino is still on order and have not received it yet, but I wouldn't think the outcome would be any different because of the flavor.

  8. this is my first question. I have a breathalyzer in my car, and I'm scared to blow in it because of the possible alchohol content in my new cappuccino e-juice. origionally, i had a bottle of the USA flavor 18 mg,(GOOD) and there was no problems. I wanted to try a flavor, and i love cappucinnos so i got some from rocky mountain vapor, (amazingly delicouse). Ive searched everywhere to find the content of each individual flavor, but the best fact that i seem to find is that they generally contain 1% alchohol... :rolleyes2: Anyways. has anyone taken a breathalyzer while vaping and gotten a positive reading?

i smoked for 11 years and been off smoking around 2-3 packs a day for almost 2 weeks. AMAZING normally couldnt last 2 hours

sorry for my bad spelling and thank you so much.

I would have to agree with these guys content, I dont think 1% would register...we have a breathalyzer here at work, lemme vape for awhile and I will go try it out and report back for you ;)

  9. I have one of the extension cables from Indy Vapor Shop. I use it with the ac adapter. There may be power loss but I don't notice it.

I would think as long as you are getting power, and a decent draw off it, then even a little power loss would be acceptable.

I have a few USB extension cables (for jump drives, not a PT) and they will power some of my drives, but not all. I guess it would depend on the power requirements of the device you are plugging into it.

...im not to big on the passthrough idea as im used to not smoking at the computer. From the videos I have seen it reminds me of some type of ignition interlock for your PC ;)

  10. From what I've read, freezing is not good for your liquid. Don't forget, if it's a PG based liquid, it'll be like trying to freeze anti-freeze. Just a nice cool, dry dark place, preferably with a consistent humidity. (I think 40-50%) Hopefully Christopher or another of the real experts will chime in here.

Ya...forgot about the pg part...freezing isn't going to work. Has anyone ever kept a bottle over a period of time?

  11. Purvapor, what flavors did you order? If I can, I'll try something different so we can all compare notes.

    10ml Marlboro 24mg

    10ml Marlboro Menthol 24mg

    10ml Strawberry 24mg

    10ml Vanilla 24mg

    10ml Watermelon 24mg

From what I read, these have a shelf life of about 2 years? I have been working on the same 5ml bottle of KPselect 24mg now for the past 2 weeks and only a little more than half way through it. I have access to a blast freezer at work where we keep our excess hops...this thing would freeze a 10ml bottle in probably under 2 minutes.

  12. I think what I recall hearing here before is that smoke detectors are really particle detectors. Generally, vapor will dissipate fast enough not to set one off unless you're really close to it.

This is what I had thought...I just imagined that commercial detectors may be a bit more sensitive for code/liability reasons.

Yeah...I was off the hook...he wasnt really pissed, was more just picking on me I suppose. We recently moved into a new brewhouse and the fire is monitored by the alarm company. We did have a problem at first because one of the detectors was right behind one of the primary fermenters and the exhaust would set it off. We had the alarm company come out and move the detector...which is right outside my office now...just funny that we have not had any problems since then, now I get into this vaping thing and the darn thing goes off making me look like the guilty party.

  13. So I came into work this morning and was clearing out some emails and voice messages, when all of the sudden...the fire alarm tripped. Thinking my boss was just testing it I just ignored it.

Well...he wasn't testing it, it actually went off. At the time I had not even busted out my ecig, so I know for a fact it was not what set it off, but it did get me thinking...could it?

I have not set off the one at home with it...but im assuming that there is probably a difference between residential and commercial fire alarms. My boss was giving me all kinds of hell about it and after the FD came and cleared the building (We werent open yet thank goodness), I had to show him that my PCC and ecig were still tucked away in my backpack with all of my work equipment.

    Thoughts?

  14. The reason this is happening is because when you buy new atomizers, they come pre-soaked with juice. You should notice when you open them from the packaging, the atomizers are a little wet. When you boil the attys, this "primer" juice gets cleaned off as well.

The fix that I've found is to "prime" the atty with several drops of juice. I've added as much as 6-8. Make sure to hit the bridge because most of the juice will get absorbed there, keeping it from reaching the heating coil. That's why you're experiencing the burnt taste faster than before. When you try vaping it, add more drops as soon as you taste the burnt taste again. After a couple times, the bridge should be fully primed and it should go back to normal.

Ok, so I tried the boiling method yesterday morning and just wanted to report back that everything seems to be ok so far. I boiled for about 15 minutes then gave it a good soaking in a small amount of vodka to evaporate all the water off. I did prime it good and even made sure my poly was nice and wet. I used it all day yesterday and this morning with no "burnt popcorn" flavor.

    Cheers :)

  15. Out of curiosity, has anyone had any issues with the TSA and your pv through the checkpoints?

    Happy Vaping!

I was thinking this exact thing today...I see a lot of ads claiming that you can smoke on planes...with todays security, how do you even get on the plane with your PV.

  16. I as well thought that beer would be the hardest to deal with. I actually work for a local brewery as a brewmaster's assistant...I also brew quite a bit of beer at home. Turns out that its not bad at all as long as I have my 510 in hand. I love walking around the bar with my stick and talking to customers about it, I can vape in my office (have not vaped around the tanks yet, because I dont know yet exactly what I am exhaling which could contaminate an entire batch of wort). This Friday we were at a friends house and there were two smokers there who kept going outside...when they would come back inside, I could smell them all the way down the hallway. I actually feel bad for my non-smoking wife for having to put u with that smell for the past 11 years.

My boss loves it too...he is a non-smoker but currently looking to possibly get with a wholesaler about stocking some for the bar to sell.

  17. Before putting the attys in the water, I put the stove on high and let the water come to a boil. Then I bring the heat down to medium. Actually, maybe a little more than medium. Just high enough to where the water is just barely bubbling (does that make sense? lol). Then that's when I put the attys in and let them sit there for 10 minutes with the heat at that setting. I have a metal strainer to hold the attys so they don't touch the bottom of the pot. You can use anything that will work, that's just what I have on hand.

Not sure if it'll help, but I've attached a photo.

Sorry to ask, but will this eliminate the burnt taste as well? Right now I have have only one atty, waiting for more to be shipped and no local suppliers. Mine started getting a pretty aweful burnt taste about three days ago. I have been running it under hot water and soaking in vodka for a few hours. This seems to work for about half a day, then the burnt taste comes back. I'm using carts and always keep it topped off, so I don't think I'm running it dry, but this taste is horrible and I really don't want to go back to analogs while waiting for shipping.

I have ordered several spares so once they get here I don't think I will have any more issues.

  18. thanks guys thats why i posted this to see if it was a good idea or not. i will have to due alittle more research, i am just trying to find a simple method that is effective and safe

My atty began to have a slight burnt taste last night after about two weeks of use...I ran it under hot water for a minute, blew it out against a paper towel...then dropped it is a small glass with some vodka. I let it soak for about 20 minutes then blew it out again (vodka evaporates very quickly and I dont mind if I ingest a little bit). I then primed it with a couple drops of juice and threw it all back together. Burnt taste is completely gone :)
