  1. I just discovered that I really like to direct drip with my 510. Seems like I get a lot a flavor and a good throat hit. A couple of folks at work have mentioned using a T Tip, preferably in stainless. I'm trying to search on this but not having much luck. Exactly what are they and do I need a different type of atomizer? Right now, about 3 drops and an empty cart are giving me at least 20 good hits before I need to refill. What does the T do?

The T-tip is a tip you can put on your atty and direct drip without removing the tip here's a link http://supertmanufacturing.com/id72.html but there are many places to get Drip tips to direct drip

    Check these out

I personally have the stainless steel T-Tip from super T and think it's great. but with that said the tips at Nhaler are priced much better http://shop.nhaler.com/category.sc?categoryId=36 and seem to be comparable to the T-tips from super T.

After looking at Supper T's site I see they have changed things a bit with there T-Tips they are much more refined then they were when I got mine so your question has helped me as well good luck in your search and happy vaping. hope I have helped to answer your questions :D

  2. gypsyladee I know what you mean the morning with that first cup coffee is the worst part of the day for me as well I just grab my VP-PT and hit it a few times and the cravings all go away, it's been only 25 days for me and I know it will get better.

I have one thing going for me that others don't I am single so there is no one els living in the house and I refuse to buy analogs so there not around to tempt me.

My only concern at present is the ban in New York, I live in Illinois and I fear that it's only a matter of time before they get to us.

  3. There's a liability concern. A few months ago someone was using unprotected batteries in an Altsmoke BB and it exploded. They do not promote "stacking" batteries. It's a "at your own risk" thing. I haven't heard of any problems with using the protected Tenergy 3 volt batteries. I have ordered the LiFePO4's, and I know some people are using the regular protected Tenergy 3v batts (links to both below). I should be receiving my batteries any day now, and some HV atty's.

    LiFePO4

    Protected Li-ion

    Thanks for the info

I went to amazon and found the protected RCR123a cells that I needed along with a charger, buy the way my SB is on order had to go with the black SB to bad they were out of the silver

  4. Hey guys,

i have a question about the SB I really want to get one, but I have a concern, I asked altsmoke about vaping at 6V and I got a response from Rob that they don't recommend using the RCR123a Batteries and to only use the 18650's that they sell even tho Rob tells me the RCR123a cells will fit the SB

I have been following the reviews by Grim Green & Dr Vapor who is by the way on altsmokes site, the both review it and say it vapes great at 6V my question is why dose rob give the don't vape at 6V speech are there some safety concerns, the only reason i want it is to have a 6V portable device, i already have a VT-PT and it's great for lounging in front of the TV 5V is really the sweet spot but then again I don't have a 6V device to compare it to yet all I would like to know is is there a problem people have been having vaping at 6V with the SB.

Perhaps I'll just have to be a trail blazer and take the chance I am a bit of a rebel anyway I never listened to my teachers or anyone else when I was young so why start now LOL :punk:

  5. I picked one up inside of the last month and the RCR123a batts still fit fine.

    Hey everybody,

I have a question that concerns me I want to get a silver bullet but according to rob at alt-smoke it is not recommended to use the silver bullet at 6v I see on there site they cary a device to make it 6v AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizers - Ecigs SilverBullet v1.1 Bottom! - Starter Kits - Products

After contacting rob I noticed he or someone changed the overview this is what it said the first time I saw it

    Quick Overview

    Silverbullet V1.1 Tube Bottom:

    -Uses 18650 Batteries (can't exceed 18.9 diameter)

-Can Use Protected CR123a 3v (need two, can't exceed 18.9 diameter)

now I see someone has changed it, my question is can I use the silver bullet at 6v or not without it blowing up in my face. :sofa:

  6. Hey Chris thanks but no thanks I'm from Ilinois and it makes me angry that there trying to pass this bill, it's just big brother that wants his cut so why don't they just figure out a way to tax me and leave me vape in peace . If they do get it passed I will just have to go underground, I have friends in Indiana that will help me anyway so if I have to be a criminal so be it :2guns:

First off I didn't mean any offense to Chris when I said thanks but no thanks in my post, he's delivering the news and keeping us up to date on whets happening.

I just got angry when I read the bad news about my state.

I wish there was a number we could call. I prefer to express my opinion through a phone call rather than a message that will probably be deleted.

If they go through with this ban, then TRUST ME, I will find ways to get my e-cig supplies, and so will everybody else. If I can manage to get marijuana on a daily basis and other illegal drugs I shouldn't mention, I'm confident I'll get my bottles of e-liquid. Think about the old prohibition of alcohol and the current prohibition of marijuana, it's not stopping anyone from getting what they want, and it hasn't in the past! LOL I can just imagine calling my "dealer" and picking up some attys and a few bottles of liquid. But in all seriousness, these bans would move e-cig's into the underground market. We have the right to vape.

Regardless, we must do everything we can to stop this ban.

One more thing I want to add. If they go through with these bans, then more and more people will start to think that e-cigs are not effective and bad for your health. People will think that since it's "illegal" that means it has to be bad for you, because, after all, the government is always right. On top of that, I'd guess that about 80% of current vapers would not want to do anything illegal, so would have no choice but to either go cold turkey or go back to analogs. However, I'm sure that most of us veteran vapers would NEVER go to back to analogs after all the progress we've made of being smoke-free.

    Here's a good question,

If, lets say, they go through with these bans, couldn't I just buy my supplies from a supplier who is from a "legal" state? If not, I might just have to stock up on e-liquid. However, I just can't imagine it being that difficult to get supplies, even if they go through with the bans. Then again, most suppliers would not want to risk their business by selling to an illegal state and lose their company.

    IN A NUTSHELL,

    These bans would:

-Prevent potential vapers and let them die from lung cancer

-Put some current vapers back to analogs, so we too can die of lung cancer

-Create an illegal, underground market, so anyone who keeps vaping is a criminal

-Put a lot of suppliers out of business

    -Make me so very upset

Lastly I just wanted to say I'm right there with you actor92191 everything you said is true, they couldn't stop the old prohibition of alcohol nor have they stopped anyone from getting marijuana, it's just another new prohibition they will start with e-cigs and PV's :2guns:

  7. I just started vaping about a month ago and the thought of a ban scares the hell out of me, I never want to go back to analogs EVER.

I definitely would go underground and look to find good supplier of black market PV's, Atomizers, juice or the means to make my own.

lets all hope this never happens.

    Fight the power :2guns:

  8. Hello and welcome to the forum.

If you're looking for a 510 Rocky Mountain Vapor has kits for $44.00 with free shipping. They have severial colors and different led colors too.

    Hi snubber,

I'm new as well to vaping and see that you recommended Rocky Mountain Vapor and it made me think of a question I had for you or anyone els who may have any experience with this company.

Here go's I just got a Pure Smoker Protege V1, I was looking at Rocky Mountain Vapors site and saw that they had atomizers at about $3 cheaper then Pure Smoker plus the shipping is free as long as the order is $14 or more my question is are they as good as the quality of the ones I got from Pure smoker or at least near to the others, I already got some of there juice and they ship fast so I know they are reliable as far as that go's :jump:

  9. I have a question to add to this one. What about useing a pipe cleaner to clean the atty? Seems like a good idea anyway.

Well I know I'm new to all this but my thoughts are a pipe cleaner seems like it would be a little to hard for something electronic could damage the wiring.

  10. Someone mentioned that isopropyl alcohol can damage the adhesives in the atomizer - but I don't have a clue if that's true. Seems it should be an epoxy, in which case alcohol won't bother it. I use very hot water and just rinse it from the cartridge side and use a soft woll felt to clean the threads, and once each week I use a fine jewlery sonic cleaner to do all the atomizers at once. READ THE REVIEWS of sonic cleaners and hunt for a gentle one for fine jewelry. I also don't know if a cemmercial or an aggressive home-use sonic cleaner could damage an atomizer, but I figure why take a chance?

The coil/wick is easy to clean - cleaning the threads by hand takes a bit more effort.

That sounds like it works pretty well, I have one question for you, what do you use in your ultrasonic cleaner to clean the atomizers, I would think distilled water would be the way to go.
