  1. I just got ten boge LR catromizers in the mail today and I was really psyched to try them out. I vape basically 100% VG e-juices so that's all I had to fill them with. I tried using the condom fill method and the juice just kind of all went up through the center hole without really soaking into the filler but after some fidling around I got almost the whole condom full of juice into the carto(or so i thought) it looked like it was pretty saturated so I set it aside for a good half hour to let it wick. I started vaping and I got a really good throat hit and decent vapor but after about the fifth hit the throat hit died off and after vaping for about seven minutes(or less) I started getting that burny filler material taste. I looked inside and the filler material looked like it was already drying up. I tried dripping directly onto the filler material and it just would not soak in so i fiddled around with the condom method again and then some weird methods i found on the internet but it's always the same thing, first few hits are great then the throat hit dies off and it starts to dry out.

am I doing something wrong? do boges just not work with thicker VG juices ? is there another filling method that anyone has found works with thicker juices on a boge carto?

how long do most people go between fill ups on a boge LR carto?

I really need help here because I really want these boges to work.

also I'm using them on an ego-c battery if that makes a difference(can't see how it would).

one last thing I found really dissapointing was that I seemed to be getting slightly better vapor production with the ego-c tank system yet somehow a much better throat hit on those initial drags on the boges...doesn't make much sense to me.

please help! also I do NOT have any syringes so that method isn't an option right now.

I used all VG too, and the system that I like best are the Kanger T2s'. They give some TH and taste is great. The atties tend to flood once or twice a day but thats the trade off.

One thing if you use these, you have to trim approx 2mm off of the silicon cap that comes on the coil head. Otherwise gives a weird taste.

I've used Boge stype carto with AVE juice and seems to work fine, just doesn't give much taste compared to the T2. The only one I've tried is the 1.7 Ohm from iVape.

AVE juice is one of the thinner VG juices I've tried. Vaporrenu, Sweet-Vapes, and Vaporroom's VG is super thick; I haven't tried them in anything but the T2 cause I highly doubt they would work.

  2. You may have flooded it. Not sure though. I usually drop around 4ish drops and the first hit may be weak but then it's golden for about 3-4 hits and then it's time to start over. That's the lifestyle of a dripper, great taste but at the cost of dripping every 3-4 hits in my experience. It's definitely not for everyone. I hope you pull it out again sometime and it works good for you. :yes

LOL, isn't "flooding" what you are doing when you are dripping?

Thanks, I get your point. Might have too much juice in.

    3-4 hits! I thought I'd get 5-10, oh well.

  3. I've had some seriously great luck with these:

    http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/brdg5105.htm

To finish off the package... grab yourself a 'drip shield'(and sealed 510 extension if needed... don't need with a eGo batt), a Cherry Vape 'Universal' (http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/chrryuni.htm), and a 'drip tip'... and you are good to go. The 'Universal' allows you to seriously drip 6 - 8 drops of ejuice and not have to worry at all about juice spitting back in your mouth when you vape. I use them all the time because of this one feature they provide so well.... I had finally quit using atties with just a drip tip because of getting 'juiced' all the time. This is now a thing of the past and I can load an atty with 8 drops every single time! Heavenly.

Ok, so I got my Cherry Vape extension, 901 bridgeless atty (with 901/510 adapter) 1.7 Ohm (using with 3.7 V Ego), and a drip shield (already have a few drip tips).

Put in 6 drops of liquid and let it sit, right side up, for ten minutes. First couple vapes didn't give me much vapor or flavor. After four puffs tasted burnt.

I put in 5 drops, waited a minute and puffed. Tried puffing gently, sharply, and everywhere inbetween. After a few puffs I started getting some decent vapor without too much gurgling but it wasn't consistant. Some puffs had good flavor but I wouldn't say better than my T2. The last time I loaded it up with 8 drops, and all it did was gurgle the first few puffs, then gave a few decent tasting ones, then started tasting burnt. Washed everything up and put in drawer with the rest of my "ehh" stuff.

    Any suggestions on my technique?

Yesterday I saw a vid on how to removed your bridge on an atty so you can drip on to it. I did this on two atties I had, one had been used and one not. Can't say I was impressed with either.

Will the atties that are made for dripping work better?

  5. Ok everybody is jumping in here so I guess I will also

The 100% vg will not wick fast enough if you puff it one after another or long hard deep puffs . 80/20 or 70/30 with the high # being the pg is much better . also the flavor is a problem at times things like cinnamon etc

The viva nova is great no leaks doesnt burn either , but dont let the fluid get to low if you puff a lot the wicking is the problem so try to find a pg juice you like

IMO the the "bottom coils caromizer dont work good

the visions have worked good for me with a 2.4 coil at 4.2 volts

on my Twist I use a vision but on the evic , the lava tube and the vamoo I use vivanova

Thanks everyone! Love to hear different opinions. I keep hearing how VG is not going to wick properly, but my experience isn't a problem with it wicking slowly, I have flooding problems not wicking problems!!

The gods of vaping must have heard my call, because since the original post the Kanger T2s' have been kicking butt! I might get a flood once a day at most. Taste is awesome too.

(FYI) Back to juices; Vaperrenus' 100% VG is super thick (but again I had no wicking problems), compared to AVE which is very thin. I'd go back to analogs before using a juice with any PV in it. It gives me super dry throat, nose bleeds, and headaches.

Thanks, I think I'll try dripping.

So, how often do you need to clean the bridgeless atties? What about when you switch flavors, do you need to rinse it out or soak in vodka overnight??

  7. Thanks for the input everyone, I really appreciate it. The T2 has been doing a little better for me, only floods a few times a day. Not too much wasted juice.

One thing that confuses me, if I'm using thick 100% VG, I understand that it will take longer to wick-but shouldn't it flood LESS than the thinner mixtures?

Any feedback on the CE3 bottom feeders?

  8. I'm hopelessly addicted to caffeine, I think coffee is harder to quit than analogs, at least for me.

I hope you all are right about nicotine alone not being any worse than caffeine. I started vaping as a step to quitting, but I love this stuff!!

I started at 18mg when I first got off of analogs, and am now onto 11/12mg. I just placed my latest juice order for 60ml of 6mg stuff. Maybe I'll find I'll be happy with 0 nic, we'll see!

  9. I use the Vision ViVi Nova tank, 3.5ml tank. As far as the wick style attys go, I am not impressed. This is the 4th version of wick systems that I have used and I have had nothing but problems with every one of them. The problem with the wicks is, the heating coil begins to burn the liquid at the core of the coil, and the burnt liquid runs down the wicks and mixes with the fresh liquid.

Now I prefer the bottom feeding style attys. They last longer and they do not allow for old liquid to mix with the fresh. Always seems to have a nice clean, crisp, flavorful experience.

I've tried the T3 bottom feeder, but like so many others I've read about, had issues with leakage onto the battery.

What bottom feeder do you like?

  10. I've had pretty good luck with the Vivi Nova tank. :) Also you need to remember that if you're using 100% VG, it takes a little longer for that thick juice to wick. You may have to wait a little longer between puffs.

True, but oddly enough I've never gotten dry hits from the T2 or T3. The burnt taste from the visions I'm attributing to slow wicking, but they are the only one I've had that issue with. The DCT I tried was with a mostly PG juice.

I've steered away from the Vivi tanks because it seems so many have leaking issues. Not the case with you?

  11. First off, I know virtually nothing about "systems"; I've found what works for me and I'm satisfied. I HAVE noticed over the past 3 years that not all juice is created equal. It might TASTE great, but you pay hell trying to vape it. It just seems to me that its possible the juice is more of a problem than what you're vaping with. I don't KNOW, as I've said, but its worth considering.

Thanks for your input. I'm still open to that possibility but I seem to have the same problems with 100% VG and 60% PG/40%VG mix. PG makes me feel like crap, but I do still have one bottle around for these types of experiments.

  12. I want a cartomizer, or clearomizer, or some other *&$%^ thing that actually works, consistently. I am using 100% VG (Boba’s bounty and some other Vapor Room stuff that is thicker than Boba’s) so I don’t know if that’s the problem? I was using 60/40 PG/VG and early on and still had the issues with the moonbeams, stardusts, and DCT.

    I’ve tried:
“Moonbeam” - works OK, just burns a little hot and resistance and life span on these seems variable.
Stardust/vision clearomizer - everyone I’ve tried gives a burnt taste at least every 3rd hit.
Smoketech DCT: constant flooding and/or burnt taste.
Kanger T3 bottom fed: floods floods floods.
Kanger T2: almost thought I had found a good system, but floods at least once a day. Replacement coils are different than the originals that came with the tank (WTF?).

I don’t care how much it costs, is there ANY delivery system that will JUST WORK? Consistantly?

Am I asking for too much here?

  13. For those you who have a reaction to PG, what is it that it does to you?

Anyone here using 100% VG? If so, what type of cartomizers do you find work well or don’t work with the thicker liquid? I am running a 3.7V eGo C style battery.

Where do you suggest I buy some 100% VG juice?

I've gotten some 100% VG from sweet-vapes, like the vapor and provides enough TH for me. Don't care for the flavor but gonna let it steep a few days and try again.

  14. OK so we've all convinced ourselves that vaping is overall, what? Safe? Safe within reason? "Not too dangerous"? Ask any one who vapes if they are a smoker and they will 99% of the time answer a solid NO(I am including myself so don't be offended!).

How would you answer this rhetorical question: You are on a long car ride and your 2 year old is right behind you, asleep in their child seat. Are you confident enough in the safety of vaping that you would vape with your child in the car?

  15. You could just try to drip the juice directly into the cartos. And with 100%vg I have heard you won't get very good throat hits on them if any at all. Usually it is the first hit on almost anytime you fill a cartridge the hit is outstanding if not overpowering sometimes. This usually occurs when the cartos haven't absorbed the liquid entirely. Also as a note not all cartos absorb 100%vg very well. You can always just let them sit straight up and let them absorb longer and hope for the best. I just ordered some 100%vg and I am hoping it will be good. It is suppose to be like a 60/40 mix because of the ethyl alcohol or something. Hope this helps you out.

How was it? I've seen a site with the ethyl alcohol base and am courious.

  16. Sorry about the weird posts, using the quoting function from my phone seems to have challenged me.

Got my 510 starter kit, using a 3.0 Ohm Clearomizer. Works great but yes needs charging (luckily have two batteries). No problem wanted a smaller one, even if I upgrade I wanted this for travel, so I'm not out anything.

If I bought an Ego battery, would it charge on the 510's charger?

  17. I make a LOT of stuff on my own by ordering the nicotine base and adding flavor extract. I counted 35 bottles of juice the other day! I do that just for fun though.

But, as far as using something easy that has a nice smooth flavor, Kingpin has one called KP Red. If I had to choose just one to take with me to vape all day, that would be it! It never gets that scorched taste which some of the fruity flavors seem to get, unless you have the clearomizer. But those come with the giant e-cigs, and it looks like you're trying to stick with the smaller one. Can't blame you.

(Dejavu has got it goin' on!!)

    Vape on.

Actually I am using a Clearomizer on my 510. Looks silly but works fine.

The Kanger actually looks pretty good on the 510.
