Hello, I'm new to vaping, just received my and my mothers Bloog MaxxFusion [And a trifecta] today.
I'm already in love. Although I think I need to up the nicotine on mine though, as the flavors are a bit bland. But already I find lighting a cigarette displeasing.
Probably because of the flavor left from the vapor, but, if it stays like this? Perfect.
Both me and my mother would like to try e-juices though, and since I need another charger, it'd be nice to order everything in the same day, but Bloog is out of empty cartomizers for the MaxxFusion--And they don't know when they will be getting more.
I was wondering, do the Fusion empty carts work with Maxxfusion batteries?
Or, does anyone know if there are other carts that'll work?
If other carts do work, is there a brand with a bit of grip? I ordered the extended batteries rather than the minis, and the weight from the battery vs. the smooth cart makes it a bit difficult to hold like a normal cigarette. Which, I guess isn't a problem. I'm getting used to holding them a bit different, but the more authentic feel, the better. This is why I went with Bloog, after all.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Corrodie!
Yes, any other KR808D-1 cartomizers will work on your MaxxFusion batts, including our old FUsion cartos, but none of them will give you comparable performance to a MaxxFusion carto.

FINALLY! A REAL Clinical Trial on e-cigs!
Auckland University's Clinical Trials Research Unit has announced a six-month clinical trial of the safety and effectiveness of electronic cigarettes for smoking cessation! Currently in set-up phase, the trial has the cute name of END-IT.
END-IT: ELECTRONIC NICOTINE DEVICE INTERVENTION TRIAL
Funded by Health Research Council of New Zealand, the study will be a single-blind randomized control trial. Participants will be recruited from Auckland, NZ, and will receive a standard 8-week course of either a 16mg e-cig, a placebo 0mg e-cig, or nicotine patches, as well as behavioral support. They will be evaluated for continued tobacco abstinence after 6 months, as well as secondary outcomes, and for adverse events.
This study received funding in June 2010 and is currently in set-up phase, with study documents being prepared and ethics and regulatory approval being sought.
I have a few concerns over the study design. For one thing, it is designed to evaluate tobacco abstinence after an 8-week course of e-cigs, so will they count continued e-cig use after the 8 weeks as success or failure? Six months isn't really long enough, for another. And they gave no information on the size of the study.
But, it is a start. A start to the real solid research that we need. Blinded, randomized, placebo controlled, peer-reviewed and published, this will be a GREAT validation for our side when it is complete.
Question About Bloog Cartomizers?

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but our cartos DO last as long as a pack of cigs. Regular King sized cigs typically last between 10-15 puffs each, or 200-300 puffs per pack. Our MaxxFusion cartomizers last 250-300 puffs each. Our manufacturer uses an automated puffing machine to test 5 cartos per hour of production to ensure that each and every batch meets that standard.
