  1. Semi-new myself, but moreso just a dirty lurker for awhile.

Agreed with the ideas presented in this thread 100%. If money weren't such a giant factor, we wouldn't be struggling to get a healthier alternative in the clear. The sheer amounts of bad things pharmacology presents as "cures" or "preventative medicine" is flat out obscene. Makes me want to vomit listening to the side effects of the current "ask your doctor" drugs being presented on television, as well as any chantix commercial just flat out pisses me off, sure you *might* quit smoking, but then again you might hang yourself too! BUY CHANTIX!

I would put forth shame and guilt to any proponent of big tobacco, or pharmacology, even my aunt who swears by medication, despite their tendency to screw you up more than help, I've argued with her quite often regarding this in fact. It's just sad that people have to have the bad things happen to them, in order to believe that something may be wrong.

Anyways, sorry to be so depressing and pessimistically viewed, I just feel that until I have the billions of dollars to throw into those greedy fecks in congress' pocket, the desires of the actual citizens of the United States will continue to go ignored.

  2. Goes to show right there, It works!

Which is why the FDA can't have it out there. Something that actually works AND isn't compared to a sugar pill? Something that doesn't cause suicides? THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG HERE!~

  3. Still waiting to see what the most effective cleaning method is. So far it sounds like boiling has worked for some.

Boiling brought my first one back for the most part, but I'd read in the cleaning thread either here or on another forum that Crest mouthwash, the blue kind had the best results as far as cleaning the gunk out. Apparently the solution would turn green and you'd have little bits of gunk in the bottom of the container and that would signify the best result. I suppose I should reference this, but I, for the life of me, can't remember where I saw it. -_-

  4. i have also been talking to my wife about e-cigs and she is interested too. between the two of us we go through a carton a week of analogs and see quite the potential for savings as well as no smoke for kids to be breathing(the most important part). anyways i have been looking for a while at different brands, different sites and such. we have decided, for us, the best choice would be vapor kings 901 starter kits. any other suggestions. also for extra juice i found a site i think from this forum with 50ml bottles for a great price

As far as what's good for you and your wife, it'll all be up to your preferences, since you'll be saving money in the long run you'll have that extra to experiment with different types, and possibly mods, whatever you need to satisfy the smoker in you without resorting to analogs.

I personally like the 510, mine is the "titan" variety from totally wicked, though I'm sure it's the same as the Joye 510 since everything is made in China then simply rebranded. As far as juice, I'd suggest going with testers of various flavors that interest you before buying into a 50ml bottle of anything. I'm sure I misread your post and am commenting unnecessarily on that, but hey.. I like to be on the safe side even if it paints me as condescending.

For starting though, just make sure you have enough batteries for what your usage is and how long you'll be away from chargers. :D Having a battery go deader on you w/no backup is just... the suck!

  5. One thing to note about VG:

As an insulin dependant diabetic, I noticed immediately that my blood sugar goes up significantly when vapeing juice with vg in it. PG does not have that effect...

As for the long term effects of PG vapor inhalation, there's TONS of research!

    Start here:

    vapersclub.com/pg.html

    you'll be amazed!

That is an amazing read. As far as allergies from the previous posts, I suffer from enough as it is, the PG doesn't seem to really enhance any current allergies for me personally, neither does VG. The only thing I noticed about PG is it will give me a but of a tummy ache over the course of the day, unlike VG based juice.
