A slightly negative article E-Cigarettes may not be the answer to Quitting Smoking
But the doctor qouted in the article has a blog. He seems like a very sharp guy who could be reasonable. Please go over and comment on his blogs. Let's keep it postive and try to persuade him to join us over here for a discussion. Let's face it, we don't REALLY know if what we are doing is safe. But we do trust that it's a darn sight safe than analogs!

Seems this guy is also under investigation for writing more than 100,000 scripts in a year.
He doesn't know what e-liquid is and wouldn't even consider visiting an e-cig forum run by a supplier.
Just from reading his responses, I don't think he's open minded enough to admit he MAY be mistaken..
Just my impression

Dr. Mintz seems, to me, to be the kind of "by the book" geek of a doctor that's been so scared by the current state of malpractice in this country that he has decided to forget about the common sense approach of the good ol' country doc and have no real opinion on anything. The mere fact that he's been on national TV suggests (again, my humble opinion) that he's a shill who'll back whatever opinion nets him the most profit. This post on his blog, where he responds to some questions by vapers, shows that he will blindly support the FDA. Apparently, Dr. Mintz never heard of Vioxx. I will not waste any time on him.
By the way, my new years resolution was to be even more cynical and judgmental.

Uh, guys, that's a blog that Dr. Mintz wrote about Dr. Mendez-Villamil. You are either not reading, or not comprehending. You are, IMHO, judging the wrong moron.

I can tell when I read stuff like this that it is just propaganda. They talk about carts but never talk about direct dripping. They talk about Chinese e-cigs but never talk about custom mods. They talk about the e-juice but never talk about DIY. It is like they only know about the basics that they learned at a mall kiosk and what the FDA said. They just sound way too ignorant. They don't even seem to research but just parrot what they heard. It is like they are talking about us but never talked to us. I'm still pretty much a noob but I know more about e-cigs than any reporter or the FDA. Why write about something if you don't know anything about it? I'll tell you why. PROPAGANDA!
