Firing in my pocket

Recommended Posts

I was in my living room and I smell something burning. I found that my mechanical mod (apollo clone) had started up. I rush to the sink an saw my RDA coils glowing so I took off my RDA ASAP (BTW my vape was still firing with no button on). Luckily I got my vape deattached in time before any fire started.

My questions are how can I prevent this in the future. How common is this. And other information I need to know.

Carry the battery or batteries (if you're packing a spare) in a proper, plastic box.  D O  N O T carry them loose in your pocket.  You will run the chance of shorting them out across spare change, or your keys, etc. and that could cause catastrophic results in your pocket!  Safety First!

Best thing is to don't mod batteries... Manufacturers are getting very good at building them, and honestly they are better at it. ;)

It is just called a "mod"...it doesn't mean it has been modified in any way.
