Is Nicotine the killer?

Recommended Posts

I'm a little confused. I thought nicotine constricts blood vessels and eventually causes stress through your arteries, leading to heart disease. All in a long period of time, of course.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

Nic does do those things but the other chemicals in cigarettes are far worse. Not to mention the byproducts of combustion. There are literally hundreds of addictive and harmful compounds in cigarettes but only one known in ecigs. Nicotine is about as addictive as caffine but it's the other compounds that make cigarettes more addicting and deadly. There are further studies being conducted about the use of pg and vg but there's nothing that suggests any ill effects of them yet. The harm from long term nic use actually starts to reverse itself within 24 hours after you stop use. Ecigs are not 100% safe but they are 99.9% less harmful then traditional cigarettes.

Stress is the number one cause of constricted blood vessels, heart failure.

Tar & other toxins build up & cause constrictions, yes.

Studies show that eCigs (nicotine without the tar & crapiolie) do not constrict, & the veins remain flexible.

Studies show that nicotine actually promotes healthy cells. Smoke kills cells, nicotine multiplies thriving cells.

Studies show that nicotine restores brain damage, cognitive skills, focus, and relieves Alzheimer's, ADHD, Parkinson's, and more.

Until lately, they were always baffled by the smokers paradox. Smokers survived when non smokers died.

Today, they want to delete the nicotine from real cigarettes & are doing their darnedest to ban eCigs and I'm sure the NRT's will be next. They now KNOW it's the smoke & tar that kills, & nicotine is the beneficial life saving aspect.

Most smokers who died from smoking related diseases were in their 70's & 80's. They lived 20 years LONGER than their age groups life expectancy. There is STILL no link between passive smoking and lung cancer. It's environmental & some even swear it's from the cancer laden vaccinations. Smoking is the scapegoat. Smoking is down, cancer is up.

Nicotine is actually a stimulant. I have MS....I've been told my by MS specialist to quit smoking because smoking leads to a much earlier and worse decline with MS patients. So, when I started thinking of making the switch back in July, I contacted her office. And she was THRILLED. She said absolutely the nic wasn't the issue with MS decline, but analog cigarettes/cigars most definitely WERE the issue. She's over the moon with me just for that.

I agree with the other posts here a very good video. Here in Canada the sale of ecigs is illegal this far but I am hopeful that the govt will get on board with the growing trend and support the use and sale of these devices. They have helped me quit cigarettes and it was my doctor who gave me the push to try this way of quitting.

This might have been posted already...

Thank you for sharing this video. It helped me to gain more knowledge about the effects of nicotine in human health. I'll share this also to anyone who have questions about smoking/vaping. Because the two are totally different with each other.
