What's on YOUR Xmas List?

I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet. What can I say, I like to get shoping done early.

I'm definitely asking Santa for a mechanical this year

And yes, I've been a good boy so I know I'm on the list...

Oops. I meant to put this in general e-cig...moderator, please?

What I'd like from Santa this year has nothing to do with vaping, I think I have more than enough stuff in that area -- for now anyway.

My main wish is to have some uninterrupted time to myself so I can get some rest. This is a very rare thing for me these past few years so, if I've been good enough to rate a gift, this would be what I'd like. :)

Honestly I don't think I have any Vape related stuff on my list either, I have 50 bottles of juice, a gazillion tanks, several batteries, and a mechanical on the way.

So I think this year my list will either consist of a PS4 or maybe a set of coilovers for my car.

Yeah, we're gonna have to wait until January just to get the PS4.

Highpass, I would go with the surgery for your dog, too. Poor guy. We just had a growth taken off our dog's leg a few weeks ago. The vet said it was basically a hair follicle that grew outward and sorta 'sploded. He had it for years and it never bothered him, and the vet said as long as it didn't bother him, it was fine. But then he started obsessively licking it, and the vet said since he wouldn't leave it alone, it would have to come off. He was really good and didn't have to be coned to keep away from his stitches, he only went after them a few times.

Ah that's great news mate, glad it worked out. I guess it kept growing slowly and eventually became annoying for him.

The eye thing is a bugger because if we get the surgery it can cause side effects like cherry eye that require even more surgery. At that rate he'll end up looking like a Sony Aibo before long

My little guy, Mikey, got a bad cataract in his right eye and wound up having regular appointments with an ophthalmologist. His last two years he had an ophthalmologist, an internal specialist, his regular vet and a chiropractor. He had better healthcare than me and my SO. Lol. Still, he was a happy camper all the way to the end of his days. I hope your dog pulls through okay. :)

No, it didn't look like it had grown bigger, it just, I guess, started irritating him.

What was funny, in I guess the week after the surgery, maybe longer, instead of sleeping on his bed on my husband's side of the room (where there is plenty of room), he always ended up on my side of the bed, usually squished up against my side of the bed, not even lying on the spare pillow in front of the rocking chair. If I swung my legs out of bed without looking, I'd knock into him. Pretty much about a week later, he was back in his bed. I don't know. Maybe the canvas on his bed irritated his stitches.

Tam: That's more medical stuff I could afford in 5 years. Shame there isn't Obarkacare… ooh that was terrible

The little guy was more than worth it and had a rough start as a puppy mill rescue. As long as he wasn't in pain and still happy I just couldn't give up on him. I'm very thankful that we were in a position to be able to afford all that. His weekly chiropractor visits made all the difference. His chiropractor is a saint and even gave me her personal number in case he needed emergency care between his appointments. :)

Highpass, you might be right. I don't know.

I remembered something else I want for Christmas. An SD card for my phone. With the games I have on it, plus all the notes, and other apps (the notes are for things I would otherwise forget), I am very nearly out of space, and that's with deleting all but 2 pictures off my phone. The kids have SD cards, why don't I? And I have more to keep track of. My med log, my symptom log, my millions on notes, evernote, the grocery list app, trillian, messenger, accu-weather (okay, to be fair, we all have accu-weather, but I'm the only one without an SD card, and we all have Galaxies, me and the boys have Galaxy S 2s, and because hubby just got an upgrade, he has Galaxy S4. PLUS, he has a laptop, and a tablet! Hmmmmm, maybe I should ask for a tablet.....but that's.....expensive.

I need to think......

Edit: He has TWO tablets.....but one he really can't do anything with. It's the HP web os tablet, that was pretty much obsolete within a month of it coming out.....

Maybe he felt safer laying next to you after the surgery ordeal? Wouldn't be surprised

He very well could have. He came from a broken home that the rescue organization "rescued" him from. His original owners tired of dealing with him early on, and tied him out, and the male person was evidently worse to him than the woman, because he had problems warming up to men, but not too many problems (but those first two days he was MY DOG and not hubby's dog), but finally after eight months, the cop that lived next door had seen enough and had the dog removed, and placed with a rescue group that specializes in bulldogs. He was in two previous homes, and they didn't want to give him a dedicated bed, and they got pissed when he ended up sleeping with them, or with their 2 year old daughter. We gave him a bed right next to ours, and never had an issue, except the first few weekends, he hadn't adjusted to our schedule yet, and he would jump on top of me at 7:30 or so in the morning, licking my face to wake me up so he could go out.

After a few months, he would just wake my oldest son up (yes, jumping on his chest, or headbutting his bed) because Devin WOULD wake up with him and pay attention to him, lol. Since Devin went to college, we've had to keep his bedroom door open so that the dog can go in and look for him - especially since he comes home one night a weekend to do laundry, so the dog expects him.

I already have everything I want "Vaping Wise" so I do not want any of that for Christmas.

All I want for Christmas is a new job, one where I can work M-F and not a lot of nights or weekends. I am sick of my chosen profession and would love for some "Christmas Magic" to just fix it all lol. Gonna tell Santa Claus I would be happy to take a 50% pay cut haha.

You and me both!

I have about had it with my job and would love to get some of that "Christmas Magic" and change professions altogether. I'm sick of being on call 24/7 and dealing with a client that "thinks" they know what they are doing but actuality do not... makes for a legal nightmare that I am tired of dealing with... :wallbash:
