Maptec Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 I have been a pack a day smoker for 15+ years. I have tried almost everything there is to try and quit smoking(Short of prescription drugs). Nothing I have tried has even come close to working, until now. On June 15th My wife and I were talking about Ecigs as one of my co-workers had switched to quit smoking. I called around to just about everywhere I could think of to find a quality Ecig to start with. I ended up at my local Cigar Shop picking up a Cig2o starter kit. Almost instantly I knew that this was going to be the way for me to finally quit. Over the next 2 weeks I slowly switched from cigarettes to my new ecig by only smoking a couple a day. After the first week I found that the Cig2o kit just wasn't cutting it so I got a much better kit with a longer battery life. This brings me to today. I am just a few hours away from from being 1 week free of smoking and just in this time I can say DAMN, what a difference. I can breath, I am finding out what things taste like again. My steady congestion is all but gone and I can actually smell the little things again(For better or worse, Im looking at you woman.) My family and friend have commented that I do not smell like an ashtray anymore. On top of all of this and probably the most important, I can actually play with my kids and not get winded in 30 seconds. I just plane feel better and i'm happy to think that I will be around longer to see my kids succeed in life. I have also noticed a few things improve that I have just laid down and accepted was apart of my life. I no longer lose feeling in my hands when I am on the computer working or just driving down the road. I notice that when I sneeze or cough I do not get the burning tingling in my left arm. Needless to say, all a big plus. The biggest one was yet to come. Since the age of 20 I have had pretty severe Psoriasis. By this I mean around 40% of my body. This has been a major struggle in my life but I had accepted that this would likely never change. Now this little device is changing everything. Over the last 3 weeks we have seen steady improvement all over. I would say that my psoriasis has receded to half of what it was at its worst. With all of this I can say that this has been a life changer for me and my family. I have even been able to turn a few people to trying and ecig and a couple have stuck with it. I even gave my original starter kit to a friend that as far as I know has stuck with it for the last few days. kgoallthewaygo Posted July 3, 2012 Share Posted July 3, 2012 CONGRATULATIONS! i know the feeling of getting your life back! i was a pack a day for about 10years and i woke up one morning coughing up a lung, seriously, was coughing for like 3 straight hours. blood was coming up with the dreaded black goop. it was then i said to hell with this and thus started my ecig journey! did you find a better ecig? if not i recommend and ego or kgo product. i personally have 2 kgos and an ego c twist. i get about a day and a half battery life and with my DCT (dual coil cartomizer tank) i vape all day without touching a juice bottle! i have also got a number of people to pick up an ecig, unfortunately some still smoke analogs, but one is cutting back to maybe one analog after a meal and another has just started and hasnt run out of her last pack. but i try to tell everybody i know or see smoking the HUMUNGOUS advantages of switching! i couldnt mow my lawn without taking at least five breaks and taking over 3 hours... now this is a 1/4 of an acre or even smaller! but since ive switched... i knock it out in a hour and depending on the grass height, somtimes under! keep up the good fight and happy vaping! Maptec Posted July 3, 2012 Author Share Posted July 3, 2012 I ended up with a Titan System from Vapage with the 2 ohm Crystal Cartridges. Was just what I was looking for. It's so nice to be able to walk for more than five minutes on the treadmill without feeling like I'm going to pass out. lol. I'm glad you found something that works so well for you. Keep it up.
