Same here. Using a smok Al85 Now a 220 watt alien. maybe it's just where I live and work it's mostly the younger crowd using the mods and building coils. We have a store here and every time I'm there I'm the oldest one in the place!

I've only been vaping about eight months now but I find everything about vaping intriguing.  Started building RDA's, RTA's, and RDTA's and am just fascinated with the flavor and performance I can get out of these things.  I really enjoy shopping atomizers to find just the right one for each mod.  Also dove right into DYI juices and absolutely love that.  I can get the flavor I want and I find it fun getting there.

Yup, folks who do not vape have no interest and have only seen the shock headlines from the coke-a-cola salesmen.  Seems like all of the media today use the tactics of the old Enquirer.  "Man with three heads found in space ship on Iowa farm!"  Something you just have to get used to.  Congratulations on your 113 days!!!!
One old fart gave me the "Thems bad fer ya!" line.  I told him, "I know!  To late now.  First week of vaping my balls fell off".  He went away.

It was rough for me to get started into it.  There was like a threshold I had to get over and then it started rolling.  A place you may want to look at is www.e-liquid-recipes.com.  They post a lot of mixes that you can open up and see what flavors they used to make them.  They also have a forum but join at your own risk.  There are a few regulars there that are really rude, spiteful, guttural, and vulgar.  I'll leave it at that.  I discontinued my membership simply because I did not want the affiliation.  There are also a few folks here that do dyi.  If you have a liquid you would like to make or clone, you could try asking.  It's really great once you start getting the hang of it.

Here is another calculator that is online if you don't want to download an app.   http://www.steam-engine.org/juice.html
I like the juice me up calculator as it also saves all of my recipes locally on my PC, gives me a little note pad for keeping track of the changes I make to the recipes and allows me to set the weights of the ingredients as I like to mix by weight.  I really love to DYI as not only do I save a ton of money but I can get juice mixtures tailored to my taste buds/liking/whatever.

Add it, shake well, and it should be good to go.
If there is not enough room in your 60ml bottle to add 4ml of Nicotine base (without overflowing or topping it off)... you may need to dump the contents of your juice into a glass/beaker/container, then add in the Nicotine base... stir with a flat blade (butter knife works well) for about 5 min (until you see lots of little bubbles in the mix), and then transfer the new mixture into two containers.

Just a tip! TC loves airflow.  Too little airflow action makes coil ceiling out at max temp and shuts it down.  That's just my experience and my advice on getting most out of TC. YMMV.

The newer Smok devices are providing pretty good TC.  Have you found a power setting you like in power mode?  What I mean by that is a power setting that gives you a good ramp up time and satisfying beginning of the vape.  I would start with that setting in TC mode for the wattage setting.  Every mod is different but in general the power setting in TC mode should provide 1.  The maximum power applied during a vape. You will want to have the setting high enough for the coil to reach your set temperature.   2.  Be a function of how fast your coils heat up.  In mods that do TC well you will be able to set the power higher than the power to achieve your set temperature and decrease your ramp up time.  3.  Some mods with a preheat setting will further boost or decrease the initial power to modify the beginning of the "hit".

    I hope that makes sense.

You need to know that the burning point of cotton is around 430' Fahrenheit so you wanna be below that. Wattage shouldn't matter as your mod should throttle the power to regulate the temperature but too low a power will make the coil take longer to hit peak temperature. I can't give a better understanding than that myself as I've only tinkered with temp control but that would be the basics.

I recently purchased some SS 420 wire so I could build some TC coils.
Being new to this I had no idea what I was buying, all I have bought before was fused Clapton wire.
    To the internet I went!
I tried using a drill to twist some wire, total disaster! I'm sure if I tried again I could do it but it got me thinking.
Back in the day when I was racing Motorcycles (Desert) I used to safety were my spokes and had a really cool set of wire twisting plyers...
I went to my tool box and there they were!
The coil pictured is 3 strands of wire twisted and wrapped 8/7 at 3.5 ID dual coils at 1.7 OHM.

The ones with the logo on the left breast. Once I confirm the T Shirts are decent quality, I'll order in the other styles as well just in case some prefer it. Gadget and I have also worked something out and we'll get shirt below printed as well as another potential design he's working on :D
We could probably get these made cheaper in China but I prefer to have it done by a U.S. company wherever possible. My goal is to keep the price around or below 14 bucks.

First welcome. The. Steamcrave can be a tricky mod to build. I use
Www.steam-engine.com to figure out my coil builds. In my steamcrave I have fused claption in a vertical build. Good luck
