  1. I've only been vaping about eight months now but I find everything about vaping intriguing.  Started building RDA's, RTA's, and RDTA's and am just fascinated with the flavor and performance I can get out of these things.  I really enjoy shopping atomizers to find just the right one for each mod.  Also dove right into DYI juices and absolutely love that.  I can get the flavor I want and I find it fun getting there.

Me too!! Though I attempted to make juice but wasn't very good at it so coil building is what I'm working on! I've spent quite a bit of money so far looking for the"right" rda and rta! But I'm not smoking!!!

  2. Yup, folks who do not vape have no interest and have only seen the shock headlines from the coke-a-cola salesmen.  Seems like all of the media today use the tactics of the old Enquirer.  "Man with three heads found in space ship on Iowa farm!"  Something you just have to get used to.  Congratulations on your 113 days!!!!
One old fart gave me the "Thems bad fer ya!" line.  I told him, "I know!  To late now.  First week of vaping my balls fell off".  He went away.

Thank you! You crack me up!!
I wish I had a good come back like that!

  3. Ok so today I got my first you vape? comment. Then came the "do you know how many chemicals are in that"??!! I said yeah 4. Compared to the thousands of chemicals in cigarettes..Then I was told I should just consider smoking American spirit cigarettes!! I've gone 113 days without a cigarette thanks to vaping!! I'm not going backwards!! I just love ignorance

  4. Here is another calculator that is online if you don't want to download an app.   http://www.steam-engine.org/juice.html
I like the juice me up calculator as it also saves all of my recipes locally on my PC, gives me a little note pad for keeping track of the changes I make to the recipes and allows me to set the weights of the ingredients as I like to mix by weight.  I really love to DYI as not only do I save a ton of money but I can get juice mixtures tailored to my taste buds/liking/whatever.

I'm really interested in diy because juice is so expensive. I ordered a kit from liquid barn and a couple flavors. I mixed up some 6mg 50/50 and did not like any of the flavors I got. I gave up and got into building coils and saving money that way..I think I'll look into it more eventually..

  5. Ok first time for this one. I accidentally ordered a 60ml bottle of juice at 0mg nicotine. I have nicotine here I was going to try to start diying my own but haven't yet.. can I add the nicotine once I get it? And how much would I add to make it 3mg? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

  6. The Smok Alien 220 is auto-ranging for your Wattage while in TC mode.  This means that you set the temp and the circuitry will auto-apply the proper Wattage/Voltage to heat the coil to the proper temp (and keep it there).
Start low... and turn up the temp a few degrees, vape, repeat... until you get the vape you want or until you get a very hot or burnt vape taste.  If it is too hot or tastes burnt, back the temp down 10-20F and try again.
Once you really burn cotton, the coil is shot and must be replaced, so don't overpower a coil on the first hit, and don't fire a coil before it has time to fully soak up the juice (first time fill).
I have some juices that prefer 250F, and some that taste great at 420F, so you have to let your juice/tank/coil combo dictate what temp is best for it [emoji4]

It's allowing me to change the wattage.. any suggestions on a starting point?

  7. No worries. You might find it hotter than you're used to until you get your preferred temperature dialed in. With that resistance and wattage you're probably not reaching temperatures that temp control can offer because of the action of drawing air over the coil. What tank/rda are you using?

I have 3 rdas the recoil, troll and the obs cheetah.. and rdta a kylin

  8. You need to know that the burning point of cotton is around 430' Fahrenheit so you wanna be below that. Wattage shouldn't matter as your mod should throttle the power to regulate the temperature but too low a power will make the coil take longer to hit peak temperature. I can't give a better understanding than that myself as I've only tinkered with temp control but that would be the basics.

Thank you! Is there really a big difference in TC over wattage? I normally vape a .25 ohm coil at 42 watts
