  1. TC on my Smok Alien is fantastic. Love it, such a smooth vape.
  2. This thread has made me Hungry asF... Adding some 12 strips I grilled up recently:
  3. Long story short, one of my favorite E-juices is Glacier Banana, part of the Epic Clouds line by Namber Juice. I mixed a small bottle about a week ago, around 10 ML. I let it sit for a few days, took the top off the bottle and sniffed it. It smelled almost identical to the original juice. Turned out the banana and menthol were both weak, but I knew I was on the right path. So I dove in bravely, mixed a full 60 ml bottle the other night after making some adjustments to the recipe, and while it's not PERFECT, it's really really close. It could now use a little less banana and a little more Menthol to give it the proper bite, with a mellow banana after taste. It's still great tho, I've been hitting it all day, but I'm pretty sure I have the final recipe in order. I'll come back and confirm later once I blow through this 60 ML I mixed. Tough part is the amount of flavoring it's taking to make it work, but it still comes out to a 70/30 PG VG mixture, which is a little lower VG than I hoped, but I had to use a LOT of flavoring. Way more than I expected TBH, though it seems to be rather close to spot on. Is what it is I suppose...perhaps you guys can make some suggestions on how to get more out of the flavors? Maybe there's nothing to be done. Anyway, here's the mix: 25% DX Banana Cream Flavor By Signature (TFA) 5% Arctic Winter (Menthol) by FlavourArt 10% Erythritol (5%) in VG Solution 60% VG solution premixed with 6mg of Nicotine So essentially I'm at about a 70/30 mix with about 3.6mg of Nicotine. (unless my math is broke) Current mix has flavoring at 27% Banana Cream with 3% menthol. I figured if I bring the menthol up while dropping the banana slightyly it ought to be spot on, but 30% flavoring has a rather WTF sort of factor to it. But like I said, I'm not sure it can be helped. As of right now I have blown through about 6 ML of it today, and I'm pleased as punch.
  4. Tam is right, first step is learning safety, second step is a tremendous amount of research online. I just recently plunged into the DIY arena myself. It can be tedious to start off with, especially if youre trying to make your own recipes from scratch. My recommendation, is go to http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ and find something that sounds like it might be up your alley, buy the flavors you need to make it and start with that. If you go heavy VG, you'll likely need extra flavor to make it work, depending on the original recipe mix. I tend to like my juices at around an 80VG/20PG mix. Me, I was a hard head, and decided I was going to try and replicate one of my favorite juices without a recipe, luckily for me, I mostly have it figured out. It needs some tweaking, but the banana cream/menthol combo really is delicious, IMO.
  5. Not sure that a recipe for it exists for it. I looked on the most comprehensive recipe site that I know of http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ Only description of the flavor that I could find online was this: Delicious tropical fruits+blackcurrant Very little to work with there unfortunately...
  6. Yeah don't do nicotine as a non smoker, EVER. If you want throat hit from a juice and pretty much everyone else has said, Propylene Glycol is the way to go, period. Start at a 50/50 PG/VG and see how that works for ya. Then you can adjust from there. But love of god...STAY AWAY FROM THE NIC!
  7. I already have Bavarian Cream and Sweet cream in my limited flavor selection. Marshmallow was on the list, but I was trying to keep my order under $30 at the time. They aren't enough to pull the sweetness to where I want it unfortunately...
  8. Lmao gadget. That's hilarious! And I don't run into any people with vendettas against vapers thankfully. I posted stuff about recent studies on Facebook with no one being a hating ****** nozzle. And on the streets I either get "hey can I get a light" (which I have to let the poor analog addict know I don't have one) or I get a fellow vaper asking about my set up, what watts I vape on, flavors etc and we usually have a good conversation. I guess I'm fortunate that I don't have a bunch of uneducated haters where I live. Either that, or they're good with minding their own business. It's probably a little of both.
  9. No it's a 5% Erythritol 95% VG mix.
  10. A fellow vaper just introduced me to https://www.centralvapors.com/ today. Says she orders all her juice from there. If you're brave enough to buy in bulk, you can get like 500 ml for 60 bucks. She says they do coupons and specials quite often and she usually gets 250ml on sale for like $22. Though I think my next personal purchase will be from VT. I see some black labels I need to try. Also, central has some really nice customizable options for their juice as far as mixtures go. From PG heavy to 100% VG.
  11. Trying to figure out if you're being facetious with that response. I'm going to assume yes.
  12. Was just talking to my wife about this and as she reminded me: "Do you remember the second question I asked you?" (I didn't). "I asked you if the people on the forums were pissed they came here with it or suspicious" To which I pretty much laughed my butt off, because she was spot on.
  13. Guys, I think we're being a bit overly suspicious. My wife owns a market research company, so while not completely the same, she does do surveys for clients at times. I described the survey to her, to give her an idea of what the premise was. The first thing out of her mouth was a question: "Did they tell you to not vape while taking the survey?". I hadn't discussed that part with her at all. I said yes, to which she replied "Good, because they need to have that as a base line for the results to come out accurately" (maybe some paraphrasing on my part there. I'm an IT geek by trade, not a researcher). The end of the day, my wife who is familiar with this sort of work agrees the research is well thought out and pretty standard for information gathering purposes. Instead of demonizing these folks for wanting to learn more vaping and it's effects on people, I'd hoped we as a community would be a little more willing to participate. Anyway, just my two cents on the matter.
  14. VapeNW's customer service leaves a lot to be desired IMO. I sent them a small paragraph asking about an out of stock item with other questions, they replied like 2 days later and answered only the one question (I had several), "no, we will not be restocking that item again". Completely ignored the rest of my questions. The one time I ordered something from them, they didn't ship as quickly as I expected, so I emailed a little over 24 hours later about the status having not changed. To which I got a response (same day I sent the inquiry this time around mind you) and I quote "It will be shipping tomorrow. Be patient." I was pleased with the prices I paid, but don't expect too much in the "we want to help you" area. And I really don't like being told to be patient. I've had orders cancelled on me for stuff being out of stock in the past (not from them specifically mind you), you don't update the status of my order, I'm going to inquire about it. You don't like that, I CAN take my business elsewhere. Trouble is, for a lot of items, they have REALLY cheap prices. Anyway, that's just my perspective/2 cents on VapeNW.
  15. Good luck! It's always nice having a back up. Yeah I heard good things about the Skyhook. Its an RDTA kit right?
  16. An excellent question. I use Erythritol personally, which isn't as sweet, and holds up well at high temps. Others use sweeteners that are a LOT more sweet.
  17. It's the Temperature Coefficient of Resistance. A little more detail and settings for different types of coils can be found here: https://www.djlsbvapes.com/different-wires/ Oddly enough, my SS316L coil functions most effectively at the SS430 coefficient (.00138)
  18. Sorry to hear you are having issues with your cupti, I have the Eleaf Lyche which I am using on a Smok Alien Mod. The tank is a cup design, to essentially eliminate leaking, which I am really fond of. I am using SS316L coils that are made by Eleaf for the tank. They initially spit like hellfire at me, until I got the settings right. I'm not sure what settings you can configure for on the kanger cupti as I haven't used the device, but I have mine running in Temp Control mode, with a TCR setting of .00138. Once I got the TCR setting right, I've had nearly no spit back issues since. (Unless I was stupid and left the fill hole open, then tried to vape while it was still open. which will flood the coil EVERY time. I am prone to do that sort of stupidity from time to time :)) It seems to me that the SS coils take some extra fidgeting to get them to work properly, in my limited experience. Once they're right, they perform rather well. Here is a picture of my baby:
  19. Thank you! Yeah I found that website the same day I found VT. I ordered Bavarian Creme and Banana Creme by TFA, Sweet Cream by Cap, Menthol by FA to start working on smoothing out some of my mixes and trying to replicate another juice I am fond of.
  20. Thanks guys, I did sort of jump in and buy all from one place, e-liq.com. I honestly don't know the brand of the flavors. I plan to purchase the well known name brands that I've been introduced to recently moving forward. And yeah, I think I have one "vapeable" recipe in the books, for a straight Raspberry flavor. I'm going to slowly work through this as time allows, and try to get together a handful of vapeable recipes and then start move forward with some more complex recipes from there.
  21. ROFLMAO! That's hilarious! And absolutely appropriate cravings considering the content! I will admit tho, that seeing someone blowing a cloud from a mod did increase my desire to want to take a hit. Anything else either made me hungry or disgusted (cheapy cig-alikes), or didn't do much of anything at all for me.
  22. It's research man, nothing inherently nefarious about research. Research itself is a good thing. We can learn from it. I took the survey, I'm sure they'll see a pattern in my responses.
  23. I created small batches of each flavor 80/20. 10ml worth, nothing added (except my extra experimenting with the orange ice cream and sweetener). I wanted to know what my flavors by themselves actually tasted like. The base flavors all seem pretty good, they're definitely ALL going to need some sweetening to suit my personal tastes. I'll work on that the next time around. I have numbers in my head. I have erythritol (5% in VG) to work with, and I'm going to order some Bavarian cream to tame the orange. I'll likely use it to make some blueberry and raspberry cream flavors too. As for other things, it's been easy to work with. The cloud production is absolutely excellent. I have some recipes to work out, but so far, I'm pleased as punch!
  24. Sweet. Definitely appreciate the input guys!
