The tpriv only will support down to.1 ohm. Your .15 ohm coil is very close to the limit, and due to production tolerances and other factors, the mod may be reading it as too low of a resistance or a shorted coil. I suggest a coil in the .25 ohm range. That should get you going.

Hi I want to build a dual 21700 squonk mod with either the highest Yihi or DNA250c chip. Where can I get the parts cheap and which tools do I need to start. I can have a carpenter make me a wooden box. Or a machinist make an enclosure since there probably aren't any available in this configuration.

    @Walt,
I just seen this, I have been using it on my Therion DNA 75 BF.
    I works great!

See what happens when I don't Google the mod first? I automatically assumed it was a regulated mod. Thanks, @Walt, for the correction!
Now that I know it's a mech, it's that much more critical and very important to stop using it if it's heating up as much as you say. Time to research how to use a mech before something goes wrong. Glad you came here to ask questions!

    Sorry about the delay,
This is a mech or mechanical mod.  It has no circuit board and no safety protections.  It is basically a battery, a switch, and the coil you build.  The only safety protection you have is your knowledge of electrical characteristics of the coil and the battery.  The understanding of both Ohm's law and Watt's law are necessary.
Please start with watching the videos here:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCePHh3NMvu3rW2LFJeOWo-Q
This gentleman is known as battery mooch and is probably your best source for learning what you need.  After gaining an understanding of the physics involved you can use this website to assist you in designing coils for the device:  http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.html
The kit you have can be a wonderful device but it can also be hazardous if you do not know what you are doing.

What resistance is your coil and how many watts are you using on it?

Thanks!  I have to apologize up front, I know of no way to simply answer your question.  Regulated mods, as apposed to mech mods, are fairly sophisticated devices.  It is common for a two battery mod to be able to produce up to and even a little more than 200 watts but that is conditional.  The batteries along with the electronics in the unit achieve this together.  It really would not be accurate to say that each battery produces 100 watts.  Most single battery regulated mods achieve somewhere around 75 watts.

You nailed that!  Exactly!  This scenario has the potential to be catastrophic.  I also wonder if there is a chance this could happen while the mod is unattended.  Glad it wasn't in my pocket.  That would have just burned my arse!

I no longer need or want a throat hit, I'm down to a 2mg nic mix, and in a couple of flavors I use 0 nic. I think it makes the juice sweeter when there is no nic.
I also don't add PG to thin juice, I use distilled water instead, I find it makes the vape smoother, and a little cooler. The only PG I add to my juices is in the flavoring.

I like Walt, have found that over time, the "throat hit" part vaping is no longer a part of what I am looking for.  I started off with some 50/50 stuff at 18 mg of Nic.  These days, I lean heavily towards the max VG stuff. Problem is, some Max VG's are like 70/30, which doesn't really cut it for me anymore.  I want 80/20 or better from my Juice and I am down to 6 mg of nic.  Hell, I use temp control these days because I don't like how hot the vapor gets on wattage mode.  I don't need or more importantly, want a throat hit anymore.  All I desire is a nicotine system that delivers my vice and brings some nice smooth flavor with it.  The end goal is to be done with nicotine completely by the time I turn 40.  That leaves me 21 months to work my way down even further on the Nic usage.
But definitely, the more Propylene Glycol and the higher your nicotine level, the harder it will be on your throat, regardless.  Though personally, I don't find the first few vapes say after sleeping or a long session of being busy at work, to be any different than when I'm in the middle of a chain vape session.  But I've been steadily refining my experience over the last 18 months or so.  And I'm really glad I finally upgraded to a TC mod, it really is brilliant (to me at least).

Recently, I read a review on VapingDaily about Halo E-Liquids and decided to order it. Besides, a friend of mine also advised me this liquid. Yesterday, I received it and now I'm really enjoying the flavor of Halo Golden Kiwi. Like it a lot)

If you change your settings from TC to watts, you might get a better vape from your mod and tank. I'd start around 20 watts and take a puff. If that's not doing it for you, go up a few watts and try again until you get a harsh vape or a slight burnt taste. Back it down a touch and you should have your sweet spot for that coil. Just a thought.

It's very hard to find the full specifications of x baby coil heads but I don't believe any of them are made with coil wire that can be used for temperature control.  Most folks use rebuildable atties with stainless, nickel, or titanium wire with TC.
