Not necessarily.   It could easily be a set-up issue in the machining where a batch milled out of spec.

    Hi Folks,
The FDA has made some policies changes that affect local brick and mortar stores. Previously, retail associates were unable to assist customer in just about any way shape or form due to PTMA guidelines. Naturally, when a customer comes in with a problem and the associate is unable to help, it creates a dangerous situation. (For example, if a customer comes in stating their mod is warm, obviously a battery issue may need addressed asap)
Previously, many vape retailers interpreted the regulations as being such that they could not perform services including changing coils, assembling a device and discussing how it functions, along with performing simple repairs and general troubleshooting.
The FDA has made some updates - Without qualifying a vape shop as a tobacco manufacturer, staff can explain how to use a store product, employees can clean and perform maintenance on a purchased product, they can replace coils with new and identical ones, and they can assemble a product for the customer from the components packaged with the device.
The FDA Is now also allows retail associates to assist customer in refilling their tanks so long as no modifications are made outside of what is recommended by the product's manufacture.

Are you sure this came down from the FDA? It actually makes sense...

I was thinking the same thing... but hey, I'll take it!
A little common sense is a good thing in this industry, and some common-sense-directives from the FDA are a welcome thing

OK...turns out I should have dived a little deeper into the escribe software.  It will do everything for me as far as calculating overall efficiency based on the way I vape.  As an added bonus, it looks like it will also simulate different settings, so I may be able to run simulations based on how others vape so I can make a somewhat educated recommendation to people who are looking at a DNA equipped mod in the future.

I'm interested enough to give it  go one of these days.  I have an IPV8 with a YiHi chipset and a counter.  I am amazed at the battery life of the Istick 100W TC.  Amazed enough to calculate the tank I'm using and the set wattage.  At 100% and avg. 5 sec draws, I come up with about 300 vapes.  Just as a swag, that seems reasonable to what I am witnessing.   Unfortunately no puff counter on it.  On the other hand my pico seems to suck down batteries.  Of course that could be because I have a wide variety of coils and a wide variety of wattage settings. Being an overenthusiastic newby it's pretty ordinary for me to hit 5 tanks and 5 or more flavors a day.  So nothing scientific here.  No controls in place, lol.  During the day I am vaping fairly infrequently and the wattage is up fairly high per preheating a cold unit.  In the evening I hit it pretty hard and the wattage goes down as the unit stays preheated.
I'm game.  I'll give it a go here soon and let you know what I come up with.

@Earthling789Sadly this girl has to wear something other than jeans and a T ...so I opt for a business suit of sorts. That's why I went with the vertical carry instead of horizontal it lays flatter. Happily since Texas went to open carry ,"flashing" isn't an offense for concealed carry holders like before, though I  still prefer not to because it defeats the purpose of concealed carry. IWB's add inches to my figure (bad) OWB is fine sometimes but I have a vest that has a built in holster for casual events. I know I can carry in a purse but it's a pain to draw from though I do use a portion of my range time to practice that so it's second nature.@
@Walt  I really love my sling bag and nothing gets scratched up and there's a place for everything it might be a good solution without the suspenders lol

    Go Edna!   Bravo!!
Right now I'm using a microphone pouch that is free but obviously I have to carry it in my hand.  Most things I try to carry on my belt dig into my dunlap.  A sling backpack is a lot of space.  Gotta think bout this.  I'm really anal about my mods.  Don't want them banging into each other.  Same with the cell phone.  Too expensive to let the screen get all scratched up.  Thinking about getting some padded drawstring bags to protect each item.
It's gonna be a process, lol.
Edit:  Thought the sling bag was something different.  Just looked at your link.  That is quite doable!  You will never cease to amaze me.

Yeah, CA is pretty harsh, and it is sad that you have to know someone to get through the system...  It is worse in NYC, where you pay $475 just for the application, only to get denied 99% of the time... unless you are a celebrity or have political connections.
I support and encourage everyone to carry if they so choose, as long as they do so responsibly and getting some advanced training is always a GOOD idea!
As for "panic at the site of a butter knife"...  Well, that is the whole purpose of conceal-carry... nobody knows you have it but you!

Where I live a lot of people have CCW, it varies in Oregon depending on what county you live in, in the county I live in if you pass a background check, and know which end the bullet comes out of, and go to their class you can get a permit.
But most people don't bother with it because open carry is legal here. But its a different story in Portland, and other populated areas in the state where open carry is not legal. Its very common here to see a pickup with a rifle in a rack in the back window. Sometimes you even see a handgun on the dash, but not very often.

Ahh yes...the bulk of duty belts.  Thank goodness for the lightweight nylon web belts such as the one @canyposted.  The leather "bat belts" similarly equipped with leather "bat gear" weigh a ton after a 12 to 18 hour shift.

Ironically I rarely carry off-duty, even though I'm authorized to do so in all 50 states.  When I do, it's usually in an inside-the-waistband paddle holster, ankle holster or a shoulder holster depending on my attire and my preferred weapon for that particular day.

Took me a couple of seconds to figure out what a 'watzit" bottle is.  I like that description better than unicorn bottles.

@Edna  I do have a couple shoulder holsters (for my larger-frame weapons), but unless I'm wearing my jacket all day, they're useless, and very impractical in warmer weather... much like when I carry OWB and need to maintain a jacket or longer shirt to cover.  I really prefer a jacket over letting my shirt hang outside my pants... I'm a bit old-school in my attire and feel shirts should be tucked into your trousers, lol... I also like crisp collars, silk ties, and cuff-links .  These days (like you) I prefer to carry something light with a spare mag in a belt pouch... LCP, TCP, or Taurus 709, and IWB or belly-band (with shorts and t-shirt) work well for me.  When I carry my CPX2 (under a pound fully loaded), I don't always worry with a spare mag since it's 12+1.
The sling pack is a good idea... I have a medium size messenger bag which I do use when I have a lot to carry... but sometimes you just want to carry "nothing" that doesn't fit in your pockets

@cany  A duty belt? ....too bulky...
@Earthling789 and @Walt  Have either of you looked into small sling backpacks?
They're not girly and carry a ton of stuff. . Just a thought, Earthling you can use a shoulder holster for your carry weapon and use one of the spare mag pouches for a small plastic box that has a battery and juice. I just tried it in mine and it kept the balance with my Ruger LCP 9mm on one side a spare mag and vape stuff on the other. No tilting nor did it feel heavier than a second mag. Not to mention it sort of is like functional suspenders

@Walt Suspenders might just do the trick!
I've managed to cut down what I carry daily.  I sorted my keys onto different key-rings, color coded to the vehicles, so I'm only packing 1-3 keys at any time (rather than the janitor-style key-ring I use to carry).  I got rid of the bulky wallet in favor of a thinner bi-fold with money-clip and only room for 2 cards each side... less room for junk so I have to keep it spartan.  I carry a little change from time to time, but normally only what I gain during the course of the day.  My biggest weight / size issues are my vape-gear, cell phone, knife, and CC-weapon... but even the latter two have been reduced in size/weight... and they ride on my belt, not in a pocket   My phone and vape-gear usually ride in my jacket pockets or cargo pockets (shorts), so on a good day, I have 1-2 empty pockets in my pants!  I use to carry my phone on a belt holster, but they tend to break or just be too bulky (with a large smartphone)... so pocket it is...

@Earthling789  You're right in sync with my thoughts.  Right now, winter, I wear a jacket that has a ton of pockets.  Cargo pants my be the answer as long as I can keep them up with all the weight.  Time for suspenders?
