First let me start off by saying that I have only been vapping for abt two weeks now and I'm loving it. I just recived my Riva 510 and my sample pack from Bluemist. I have to say all the flavors except Sex on the beach are absolutly horrible. The caramel tobacco, coconut cream, and the peanut butteer cup all taste the same and had a strong nasty chemical after taste. I will never buy anything from them again.

flowersbl - Sorry about the TH problem with your vapor renu. I don't have any advice but I sympatize with you I had the same experience plus no flavor. I didn't read what blend you ordered but in the future I would suggest making sure to get the most pg as possible. VG makes lots of vaor but is weak on the TH.

I hope you can somehow salvage it, I've been mixing small amounts of my vapor renu juices in to some dekang juices I had on hand they are 80/20 and have maybe even a little too much TH for me, it didn't cut the flavor down much either made them smoother and atleast its a way to use oup my vapor renu juice.

I just got 4 bottles of juice from them in the 60/40 blend and it all sucks no flavor in the pumkincinno, or heath bar at all. Bananan nut bread - can only taste the banana and the bacon and waffles is disgusting it has flavor but almost gags ya. DOn't think i'll be tryinng them again, 40 bucks down the drain.

Oh, and I agree on that.....the same time I had ordered from VR, that same evening my husband and I ordered from four other vendors that had strong recommendations and reviews from people on here, and in the chat. Well we didn't like ANY of the other ones.....the stuff from Ms T's Bakery was so awful we threw it down the drain. Then later I learned that ALL the ingredients from VR are american made, INCLUDING the nicotine liquid, which almost all other vendors get theirs from China. To us the FLAVOR is the most important aspect, not the TH or even the vapor. Although we get great vapor and have no problem with TH with VR liquid. We get everything 16 mg, 80/20 pg/vg, medium TH, regular strength, no additives. We have been vaping a little over a year. So I don't know how those things figure into the whole equation. BUT for sure it is subjective. I have met several people now where we all seem to like the same flavors and types of flavors, so those are the people who I ask for opinions from as far as if they have a flavor that I have not yet ordered but I am thinking about, I generally end up agreeing with their assessment. But it is VERY subjective, and I consider the source....like what other flavors does the person like. If they vape a bunch of flavors that I do not like, then I will probably like what they don't like and vice versa. So I think you just have to know what you like, and what you don't like. Like RY4, sorry, never found one we like...we both hate it and have tried more than I can count. It is just too sweet to both of us, no matter where we have gotten it from. So I have totally given up on that....which is fine, so we don't like RY4. I have so many flavors now that I DO like I don't really need more variety, LOL!!

I get plenty of TH from other juices on my eGo. It's battery is far from weak.
Try an 80/20 blend on your juices that's 80pg/20vg. and you might really like the dekang I can use it but the throat hit is even a little strong for me. I like 70/30 much better.
I get no TH from vapor renu juices either.

I had a somewhat funny experience trying to vape in a diner this one time. I pulled out my riva and took a puff, and I saw some old guy glaring at me. Then like a minute later, he was up at the cash register bitching to the girl there about it. He wasn't loud or anything, but I was watching him and I saw the way he pointed at me and the girl looked at my table and everything. I think I heard him say something about smoking. Anyway, it was funny because by the time she looked over, there was no smoke, and nobody smelled anything, so she just ignored his complaint. When she looked at our table, she had a look of confusion on her face because there was clearly no smoke. She probably thought the old guy was nuts, and I bet he was pissed.

I'm all for keeping them away from kids too to a degree, but in all honesty, kids are gonna smoke. And because of that, I'd much rather have them be able to vape. They're gonna get a hold of nicotine one way or another whether we restrict it or not, and considering the fact that it's much safer, I'd rather have them vaping. But nobody's gonna allow that, and I don't propose to try to get anybody to allow it either.

Boiling again probably won't do any good. It sounds to me like in the process of doing a dry burn, you've charred the wick. Inside the atomizer, under the triangular-shaped piece that you see(this is called the bridge, and it's covered in metal mesh, a sort of steel wool-like material), there is a white thread-like material known as a wick. Over time, unless you're SUPER careful to keep the atomizer wet at all times(which isn't very likely when you're a newbie), you will eventually char the wick, causing this exact thing you've described(good flavor at first, still good vapor, but then after a few drags, burnt taste, despite the atty being clearly wet). I've done the same thing myself several times. It will cause you to overfill and flood your atty, yet still produce a burnt taste, which leads to much confusion. Anyway, what you'll want to do is remove as much of the wick as possible with a pair of tweezers. The problem I find with this, though, is that it's next to impossible(at least for me) to remove the whole wick(or the part that's actually charred, as that part tends to be closest to the coil, which is next to impossible to see with the bridge in there. So, when I start getting the burnt taste all the time, I just take out the bridge and the wick in one shot.

There are at least a few videos on youtube on how to remove both of these, and I will post one in a minute. But, before I do, I want to explain something. I find that while trying to debridge certain 510 atties, pulling on the bridge tends to pull the whole internal portion of the atty closer to the top of the atty tube(the part that surrounds the coil, wick, bridge, and whatever else is inside that thing. So, what I do to avoid breaking the atty altogether is stick something(I use my tweezers) down into the atty and hold there with one hand, pushing on the whole internal portion, but away from the bridge itself. Then I insert a pair of needle nose pliers, grip the bridge from both sides, squeeze it together, and start yanking/wiggling til it comes out. Then I hold a flashlight in my mouth while I remove as much of the wick as I possibly can with the tweezers. That should solve your problem, and as you're removing the wick, you'll notice parts of it are black.

One more thing before I post a link to a youtube video of this procedure... Note that when you remove the bridge and the wick, your atomizer will be more prone to flooding, since the wick and the mesh on the bridge act as a buffer or liquid holder and keep it from just flowing thru the atomizer. You will also be unable to use a cartridge with the atomizer, which means you'll need to drip. And finally, sometimes while vaping, usually the first few drags after dripping more liquid, some of the liquid will bubble and fly up, landing on your tongue. It's not that big of a deal for the most part. I don't really mind it all that much, but with high voltage or low resistance atomizers, it can get pretty darn hot. I've actually gotten a small burn on my tongue as a result of this. Considering the information I just provided, you might be thinking "well then why do I want to do this?" Well, you can either just deal with the burnt taste, use another atomizer and waste this one, or you can do what I suggested and still be able to use it. This is one of the unfortunate parts of vaping. Wicks get burnt sooner or later, at least in my experience. So if you don't drip already, I say get used to doing so. Some people, like Noxious, remove the wick immediately upon switching to a new atomizer to avoid this mess altogether. I don't know about anybody else specifically, but she prefers to leave the bridge in. To me, it doesn't really matter. In fact, I sort of like it better without the bridge, because one way I know for sure I'm out of juice is to be able to see the coil light up red, which is easier to see without the wick and bridge in the way.

And now, without further adieu, here is a video.

And here is one about removing the bridge, in case you're interested.

And finally, ONE LAST PIECE OF INFO: I personally clean my atomizers by soaking them for a few hours(usually overnight or sometimes even longer) in rubbing alcohol. Some people seem to think this is a bad idea, but it's kept my atties alive for about 5 months. I still have my very first Blu atomizer from the kit I bought this summer. I know for a fact that rubbing alcohol breaks down organic compounds, which VG is. I'm not so sure about PG though. Also, dry burning does work to burn some of the gunk off the coil, similar to how a self-cleaning oven works. However, you want to be careful when you do it as you can ruin the atomizer by letting it dry burn for too long. Should you choose to soak your atties in rubbing alcohol, I specifically use only 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, and I rinse my atomizers thoroughly with water, blow the excess water out, and then let the atomizers dry for a few hours before using them.

What Chris said about atomizers needing more liquid than normal after cleaning IS true, but I'm guessing since you did a dry burn, you charred your atomizer. It would help to double check your wick before you do any of this, but like I said, it can be hard to see. And, your wick will probably become charred eventually anyway.

Sorry for the gigantic wall of text, but I hope it helps. Good luck, and happy vaping!

This is friggin' ridiculous... Okay, so the main argument is "they're not proven to be safe," and "omfg, it might be a gateway to smoking for kids..." Oh really? Well here's how we solve that very very easily. 1. ban the sale to minors under the current tobacco product laws, or make a new law specifically for e-cigs that says minors can't buy them. How hard is that? 2. ban cigarettes. If there are no cigarettes being sold, then it doesn't matter if kids get hooked because they only way they can get their nicotine then is via e-cigs, which we all know damn well are many times safer, so who gives a crap? Anyway, why, after vaping first, would you decide you're gonna smoke cigarettes? Even if you are addicted to nicotine, e-cigs taste so much better and don't kill you or make you cough your lungs up every day.

These stupid public "health" officials... "omg, with e-cigs you can get your nicotine anywhere you can't smoke. that's not good for public health." My ***, it isn't. Nicotine, in and of itself is not all that bad for you. Even if it is, it's in cigarettes, among many other things, so what's their point? The nicotine itself isn't the problem. it's the tar, carbon monoxide, cyanide, formaldehyde, ammonia, arsenic, and god only knows what else is in those stupid things. This is so aggravating. They don't give a damn about public health. If they did, cigarettes wouldn't be here, period. I'm so sick and tired of hearing how people want them removed until they're proven 100% safe. WATER isn't 100% safe. NOTHING is. Too much water in your system will kill you. Too much of just about anything will kill you, so what exactly is the definition of 100% safe? While we're at it, why don't we just ban water? Damn morons... This country's government makes me sick.

Why do we need these to be regulated? So what if they're inconsistent. Then don't buy pre-filled cartridges or cartos. Even if you do, I'm sure Nicotine could kill you in a high enough dose, but long before you get to that point, you'd feel a headache, and if you're too dumb to stop vaping for a while at that point, then you would have done something equally dangerous and stupid eventually anyway. You can't blame an inanimate object for a mistake made by a human being; that's just ridiculous.

I'm all for no sales to minors(for the most part), but I don't want any regulations beyond that, with the exception of maybe some sort of quality standards in terms of cleanliness and accuracy of advertised ingredients/required listing of ingredients. The problem, though, that I see with regulating anything beyond no sales to minors is this: It would seem to be a rather large pain in the butt to try and go to every juice maker's place of making said juice to make sure they're doing things "right." My guess is they'll probably require some sort of license, or they'll make it so that only the government or tobacco companies/pharmaceutical companies can make the juice. One way or another, they're gonna try to make this more expensive and give us more hoops to jump thru. I don't want people poisoning each other with bad juice, but I don't want the other extreme either. Some sort of happy medium would be nice, but I figure what we'll get will lie somewhere nearer the latter extreme.

I want to clarify something here. As I said, I'm all for not selling e-cigs or juice to minors, for the most part... What I mean by "for the most part" is this: I don't want kids getting addicted to nicotine because of electronic cigarettes, but at the same time, if they're already addicted to analog cigarettes, then I would MUCH rather have them use these instead. And in all honesty, I don't see it as such a big deal if they DO get hooked on nicotine via e-cigs and never touch analogs. That would be much better than smoking the analogs first, right? I don't really see the big deal with it, but I know sales will have to be restricted to adults only, just like analogs. That's okay with me. I just don't want them taking away my flavors or tainting juice to bring the industry down. The FDA contains a lot of crooked people more concerned about money than health.
