FXRich got a reaction from Smoking Joe in Vapers Could Expect To Pay More For Equipment Due To Tariffs
From what I have read on reddit, and other places there will be a 25% tariff on vape mods from China. I will not be affected by it, I currently use 9 mods in rotation and like a lot of other people here have several more mods and tanks still unopened in boxes. I make my own coils, and juice. My LG H2 batteries come from South Korea, so the price of those won't change unless they are in short supply. Maybe some company in SK might start making mods, mods are already made in the Philippines, and a few other places that have no tariffs. When a market gets hurt in one place it picks up elsewhere, supply and demand works that way.

The only reason I can see for a mod maker to recommend using a certain brand of battery is probably the same reason Chevy recommends using a Delco  battery and Ford recommends using a Motorcraft, there is probably some kind of Corporate connection. I use mostly  Kanger mods, and the instructions say to use a suitable 18650 30A battery, I use LG HG2 batteries that are rated at 20A, continuous. Kanger doesn't say 30A continuous or pulse.  (I haven't blown myself up yet)  The brand of battery doesn't matter as much as the quality of the battery, Samsung, LG, and Sony all make quality batteries.

I no longer need or want a throat hit, I'm down to a 2mg nic mix, and in a couple of flavors I use 0 nic. I think it makes the juice sweeter when there is no nic.
I also don't add PG to thin juice, I use distilled water instead, I find it makes the vape smoother, and a little cooler. The only PG I add to my juices is in the flavoring.

Pineapple by itself isn't very good, but when you add 2 - 3% to a mix it works out pretty well. Like you I got a 4 oz bottle of pineapple, and it will probably last a long time.

I also use a little Pineapple in a mix I call Fuzzy Navel.
    10% Blood Orange
    8% Peach
    2% Pineapple
Although there is more orange than peach, I can taste the peach more.

Another setup that I use sometimes, but not very often is a KPT2 with a 1.5 coil on a subvod battery. I don't get as much vapor as a subtank mini, but get enough and using a 1.5 coil I get decent battery life. I seem to be going backwards instead of trying new things.

For the past year or so I have been using the nano RBAs from fasttech, they are the same design as the original subtank mini RBA,  I had to modify them a little bit by making the juice slots a little bigger. If you don't use more than 60% VG they work pretty good, I use them with a Subvod battery, and battery life isn't very long, but I can't expect a 1300 mah battery to last as long as a 3000 mah LG battery. I still mostly use the larger mods with a subtank mini, but like using the smaller setup when I'm not gone for very long or I take 2 of them with me. (the car has a USB port in the dash) and I ordered extra subvod batteries so I can charge one while using the other one.

You didn't mention what you vape, if you use a refillable tank your supplier may have changed the juice that you use, you may have a allergy to some chemicals that are used for flavoring. You could try a different supplier or maybe just a different flavor. Or it may have nothing to do with vaping.

I mix a juice for a friend, he likes a butterscotch menthol mix, we finally settled on 3% menthol, which he thinks is perfect for him. Some people use mint instead of menthol, everyone is different and like different things.

Its A 2000 Harley FXDX I picked up awhile back, and I took the picture at a local reservoir not far from where I live. Its nice to not have a lot of chrome to polish.
I mix my own juice and call that flavor Peanut Butter Cup. When I first started vaping I thought I'd never have a dripper, I didn't like the idea of pulling the top off and re dripping every few minutes,  but after getting a Squonk box I changed my mind about dripping. I pretty much only drip when I watch TV or when on the computer, but have dripped and drove, which is easy to do when you squonk.

Einstein's theory comes to mind, the more mass you have the more energy you need to heat it.

I got 11 watts, but you have to consider its only about 42 mm of wire compared to 200 mm of wire for a 1.2 coil made of the same wire. Takes more power to heat 200 mm of wire than what it takes to heat 42 mm.
You would be better off using 24g 316L for a .25 coil.

Find something to plug the hole in the pin, a small piece of O-ring worked for me.

NC also works for Kanthal, but the temp setting has to be very low or it will be too hot. Not something I do regularly, but have tried it.

510 connectors on tanks can vary in length,  if it is too long it can cause a short, too short and it may just barely touch the center pin, and cause a high ohm reading. I have no experience with Smok tanks, maybe someone that has one can let us know about the 510 length.

You would end up with 0.3mg, which is pretty much no nic juice.

Probably the best way to clean a tank is to use hot water in a sonic cleaner (if you have access to one). I would not recommend the use of a sonic cleaner if you have a painted tank, it removed the paint from one of my tanks.

I think Earthling was right about adding a few drops of water to the tank.
Over a year ago I started to mix a Cherry Cheesecake juice that I really liked, on a good day I could get maybe 2 tanks on a coil (subtank mini with RBA), so I put the recipe on the back burner. A few months ago I started making it again, but instead of using a 70%VG/30%PG ratio I used a 70%VG/20%PG/10% distilled water mix, now I get 4 - 5 tanks on a coil. Can't say for sure why a little water will make the coil last longer, but it does.

The most common juice sold is around a 50/50 mix, which doesn't give as much vapor as a higher VG juice. From what I hear a baby beast can handle a 80% VG or better mix.

Some stoves use SS heating elements, and it doesn't bother them when they turn black, they work for years that way. I have replaced the pipes on my bike with SS pipes, and they haven't turned black, but they are probably a different SS alloy, and they don't get as hot as a heating coil.

FXRich got a reaction from Walt in Hey folks, Paint pealing, Ideas?
That is the main reason I have only bought unpainted mods in the last few years. In my opinion about the only paint that would hold up to the use that a mod gets is to get it powder coated, and that would require complete disassembly, powder coating is an expensive process, may be cheaper to buy a new mod. I learned to live with the mods I have that the paint came off.

My phone costs me $17 and change every month for 300 minutes, I rarely use over 100 minutes a month, and they carry over a certain amount. Just have it for emergencies and stuff like that, I even ignore texts.

That is why I'm sticking to my $25 flip phone, also I don't get service where I live so I could only use it away from home.
