The guy at one of my old local shops actually had a pretty cool little setup for polishing.  He took an old RDA base that couldn't be repaired and welded a broken 1/4" hex wrench to the RDA base where the posts used to be.  The 510 threads were still good.  He would insert the RDA/hex wrench contraption into a drill chuck, screw a mod onto the old RDA base and let the drill do the work for him.  Sadly the shop closed down.  Might talk my brother into doing something similar for me if I ever come across an RDA base that can't be repaired.

Looks good Shen!  I polished up all my Copper and Brass mechs before putting them away... it's amazing how fast they oxidize even when you haven't touched them in months, lol.  I like a "little" patina, especially on Brass, but man, the Copper starts looking rough if you don't keep it shiny

Looks great, Shen.  I need to do the same with my Arthas.  Looking a little worse for the wear.

    Grandpa's got a squeezebox!
Granny thinks that he's not right.....
Pretty nondescript.  Nuttin fancy for sure.  But I likes it!  I really likes it!  Fits my hand perfectly.  Gentle squeeze and away we go.  This could very well become my everyday little buddy.  Just feels so good and the gas gauge has yet to come down off of full battery.  No vape counter, but I've been hitting it pretty regular.

Bought this juice from a local shop. And its killer, also bought 2 100mls from a friend online and a 30ft spool of 24g kanthal. The mod is an authentic Smk Flagship that i got in a trade.

Bebop its an rdta with a two post style build deck and like a 5ml capacity. I love it because you get tons of airflow and tons of flavor.

So my favorite tank is the UD Zephyrus, not that I have tried all that many. The one thing that I have found though is its seemingly impossibility of getting a working nickel build. I can make plenty of pretty coils with what should be enough resistance to function in a dual coil build.
Here's the problem and I have yet to find anyone identifying it or remedying it. On my deck the biggest issue besides the dual coil format is the posts and screws. Every time I get a coil or two on the deck the legs shear off before I can wick them and get the cap on. I use wire bending pliers to get the leg just right, have even tried folding the leg back and twisting it but no better results. I looked at the screws to make sure nothing was too sharp and they were fine. Then I checked the depth of the holes in the posts, finding that they are much deeper than the hole where the leg inserts. This shears the soft wire like a gullotine and even twisting it doesn't help.
I am wondering if anyone has noticed this issue or had any solutions. I am considering opening up the holes where the legs insert to the bottom so I can get a solid surface to secure the legs against but it is pretty invasive.
The other work around I am trying is to use an OCC head, building a single nickel and using the old body as a deck.
I will post a report and hopefully some photos but wanted to throw that out there and see if anyone else has noticed this. I can get the coils on there but when trying to secure them on the stock deck just doesn't work.

That was my plan. I was going to run down to the local shop and pick up some lower nic liquids. However, I have been using the 12 mg and I seem to not have any issues. Not feeling any side effects of nic overload and I finally figured out the draw on the sub ohm. Not harsh at all, but I really don't have any harsh flavors in my rotation to begin with. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to close up the airflow and seem happy. I am going to buy some lower nic liquids and make the switch in the tanks.  Guess I am just a bit weird and keeping an eye on how I am feeling so I don't overload. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.
I want to add a disclaimer to my last post for all vapers wanting to go to sub-ohm route, listen to what Earthling789 said in his reply post to me!
Do not do as I do or am doing. I have been vaping for a very long time, I know the effects of nicotine overload! I am being extremely careful vaping 12mg in a sub-ohm tank!

Claptons, for me, got a lot easier with this thing.

    ..............
I bought the jig from vaped3d.com and got it about 5 days ago. I've made about 50 ft of fused Clapton so far in those 5 days and pretty much every inch of it is flawless.

I bought an extra clamp just in case the clips would wear down over time. (I do plan on making 100's of feet a month)But the clamp shows no wear after all the wire that has gone through it thus far !

Here's a couple fused builds I did, mostly used 24 gauge or 25 gauge for my core wires, 34 or 36 for the outer wire.

Going to try some 38 and 40 gauge this week, ill let everyone know how it goes!

My turn. Well...I took a very big jump into the pond. I am now the proud owner of a Cool Fire IV plus, ISub Apex tank and the Cleito tank. The Cool Fire is nice. Feels good in the hand and the buttons are sturdy. It is 70w with a built in battery. The Apex came with two .5ohm coils and the Cleito has a .4ohm and .2ohm coils.
I have been using the Nautilus and Protanks. These new tanks are kicking my butt. It took me awhile to figure out how to draw on these without choking to death. But the flavor is outstanding! OMG! I can actually taste my liquids now. I have the airflow wide open and the wattage set at the minimum for the coils. Will take me awhile to get used to it before I can fine tune it up or down. The only downside I see is cleaning the Apex tank. It doesn't exactly come apart like other tanks. I will share that with you all later. Today was a good vaping day.

This is just a total guess based on your picture but it appears to be something like an 8 wrap 24 gauge on a 2.5mm which puts it at about .6 ohms.  With the dual coil that would make it roughly .3ohm build on that deck.  Just a wild guess so Shen's suggestion is just about right on.

I'm purchasing a ice cubed rda, I'm wanting to make my own coils. My question is what type of metal, twist or solid, looking to do dual coils. The mod I'm using is a 60w e vic vt.

Update: after re-reading shen's post i checked the connections. One of the screws on the positive block was loose. I tightened it and both coils are firing. The problem with vapor production has been solved. The flavors still kind of dull and the vapor isnt as hot (using the same juice). This leads me to believe (correct me if im wrong) that my previous build was with a different gauge wire and simply heated up or "ramped" up faster. The old build was a much hotter vape with a way harder throat hit, once the button was fired the juice heated up and spattered much more violently if im describing it correctly. If im correct please recommend something to that nature. I currently have 24 gauge kanthal but can pickup whatever is needed. Thanks for helping me out guys!

Hello all. My names john and im new to dripping. About a week or 2 ago i purchased a nemesis clone from hcigar. I have been using a mutation x4 on it. Since last night i have been having problems with it. The flavor and vapor production with a fresh battery at 4.2 feels the way a dead battery used to at say 3.6v. I have since cleaned the mod (complete disassemble including the switch and submerged in isopropyl alcohol). I also boiled some hot water and soaked the atty in dawn and hot water without the orings. On a fresh coil and fresh cotton this thing produces less vapor and flavor then my cloupor 30w regulated device.

This little mod hits like a beast for only 40 watts, and the flavor i get from the rh mini rda is phenominal.
