Thanks! It's a great  way to clear up some space on older or perfectly good items. We have more, taking pictures and posting is a bit of a headache but I'll list other items later this week.   (Who knows, if it does well enough we could always open this up to members. Like an ebay for vapers. But I'll try not to get ahead of myself just yet.)

no worries folks,I showed my honey the build and he got me fixed up!!it does make a big difference! and the tweezers in the coil master kit are wonderful for pinching things into place!!

With this I'm out for awhile.  This is my holy grail at least for the time being.  Smok GX350 Kit with Big Baby Beast.  Holy Ba-Jesus!  Now I get what everybody is raving about.  That tank drips with flavor.  I feel like I need to take time to chew.  I also get the "turn down the nic as you turn up the watts".  This thing hits like a sledge hammer!  I still can't get it up to recommended wattage.  Tooooooo much for me!  I got it to 110 watts.  That's my limit.  Tried 120 and I thought it would blow a hole in the back of my head.  Ya, it's a juice hog but I can only hit it about once every 15 or 20 minutes.  Drank two bottles of water in the last hour too.  Yowzers!!! 
 

I agree with smacksy about getting the coils centered. Also if you have ceramic tweezers....pulse the coils then pinch until the glow from center of the coil to the outside edges.

I love the coil master kit!!I've done Sat here this afternoon, built my very first set of coils,got my Griffin 25 plus up and running, then built 4 different sets of coils at different resistances for future experimentation. ...it's fun, isn't it??

Got some supplies from a local b&m shop saturday. New coilmaster build kit, 120ml bottle of Farmer's Milk by Simple Folks, 60ml bottle of Blueberry Delight by hvg pure and 2 sets of premade N80 Alien Coils.

Funny we were just talking about this last week. We've had a few requests for VT gear. We're planning to get some polo shirts made but could probably order in some T shirts and other gear

First, I moved this thread from "Coils" to "Wick and Wire".
Second, are you re-wicking factory coils or is there an RBA deck for the Mini Helmet I'm not aware of?  Re-building and re-wicking factory coils can be tricky.  It isn't impossible, but the odds of having a very different experience from a re-built and/or re-wicked factory drop-in coil vs. a brand new coil are very high.

I agree with Cany, some cotton does have a break in period. If that doesnt work switch to a new cotton. I personally use koh gen do japanese cotton, which you can get a 100ct bag on amazon for like $4

Hi, I just started rewicking my own coils. I am using japanese cotton from Master of Clouds. But although my coil is working I am getting a funny taste from it. Is this normal? Will it go away after so many vapes from the device? I am rewicking my smok vape pen 22 and smok sub ohm  40 mini helmet. I got them working it just tastes bad. Not real bad. It tastes kind of like hair, not burnt hair. Just like sucking on regular hair. Is this from the cotton I am using? Is anyone else using this cotton from master of Clouds? And are you getting this taste from it. It's not the wire because right now I am using the same coil wire that was on it. They still look good and I just burn any stuff off of it to clean it. Any advise? TY

It might just have to "break in"  If it doesent go away after a but I would change up to a new cotton

Yea those low coils will do that. Like i run the tfv8 and mainly run octo coils, and recommended setting is between 130-180 watts but the coil can handle up to 250 watts.

A friend just dropped by the store and gave me a HorizonTech Artic V12.  Said he didn't like the draw and he would never use it.  Recommended setting it for 130 watts.  Wow!  It produces one heck of a cloud and the flavor is something else, but watching the battery meter on my Alien is like flushing a toilet!  Reminds me of the gas gauge on a car I used to own as a kid.  Has a .1ohm coil in it.  I'm gonna need a wall adapter, lol.  Found a .3 ohm coil at a local shop.  Hope it helps. 

Yea the shop i went to they had something similar...except it was an old tank they took apart and attached the mod to the chimney.
