I use 6 Kanger Subtank minis in rotation, and use the RBA exclusively in all of them. Never had one leak that was not user error, or when I left it in a hot car. They have been a good tank for me.

I got a 50 pack of OCC coils from FT, so did a few others here. I believe they are Kanger seconds, or possibly over production. The bodies, gaskets, and pins are identical to Kanger coils, but the coil that's inside isn't the best. I even got one with no threads. But I bought them to rebuild, and they work great for that. I did find that when rebuilding OCC coils Rayon works better for me than cotton. Some people don't like the rayon, but I do, and $14 at sally's beauty supply buys a lifetime supply.

I hate to say I do this all of the time.  You would think I would figure it out!  I normally leave my NEBOX in the truck, but I will throw it in my pocket when I go to eat, or check into a hotel.  I normally run 25 watts and it will be on 40+.  It will knock the top of your head off!

I agree with @VapeMama... nothing puts me out the door faster than pushy sales people, sales people that don't know what they are talking about (and think they do), sales people that are inattentive (don't listen to your needs/wants, don't acknowledge you in the room, etc)... and lastly, a shop that has a very poor selection of hardware AND juices and/or exorbitant mark-up in their prices!

jasonculp reacted to Bebop in New Feature Request?
    Hi Chris,

I was wondering.  Is there a way to make the "reply is merged" featured user controlled?  Or make it so a user can toggle that feature on and off?
once in a while I might have an after thought on a post .  Sometimes I want my afterthought to be a separate post for clarity.  So the other person knows I have made an addition to my post. A reader might not catch that I have added a short line to a post, when he has thought that he has already read that post.
Sometimes the merge feature is fine when you are responding to a post when you know the originator is not there.  But when the originator is actively reading your posts, they could miss a point that was added automatically with the merge feature.
    just a thought

This is the one I am using.  I use the one that @Adversarious1 uses also.  I can't tell a lot of difference, but for some reason I really like the Nichrome/Kanthal combination.
For what it is worth, I have been running a standard 26 GA 316SS and it isn't a lot different.  I do think the Clapton has more flavor, but the quick heat up time (standard wire heats much quicker because the mass of the Clapton is so much more it takes more time to heat)

jasonculp reacted to smacksy in Griffin Build Question
    Hi Edna

This is my Griffin with a couple clapton coils..7 wraps of 24g x 30g kanthel on a 3mm bit..
(Another good build was 9 wraps of 24g Nichrome on the same 3mm bit)
However the Griff can be tricky to wick with any coil....
That said make sure your cotton goes behind the little ring into the juice channel ..as you can see I like mine about halfway down..Also make sure none of your cotton wicks do not cover any part of the air flow ports in the deck..this can cause spitback and possible flooding ...as far as type of cotton goes I've had good luck with both organic and cotton bacon..
Once my wicks are installed I prime them thoroughly before screwing down the chimney..And like I do with all new builds I start with a few pulls without hitting the fire button, then start low and slowly bump the wattage up to find my desired sweet spot..(takes a few hits sometimes to get rid of that new cotton taste)
Griffin is an awesome RTA when it's built correctly...feel free to PM me if you think I can help ..good luck! [emoji106]

....and you discover that coil is a dud or a burner!
Aren't you glad you have back ups???

    Hi Folks,
I noticed some requests for products we already have. I figured this is probably because our search system could use some improvement. At any rate, I've added "shop by brand" in the store menu to make it easier to find what you're looking for. 90% of the items in the store have been tagged with just a few more that'll be tagged by days end

Can you get the Smoant Knight V2 80W Kit in? I want to order one for my oldest son. It's much better than the V1, lighter and has an optional RBA.

jasonculp got a reaction from Compenstine in Gonna try messing with Clapton wire
I will vouch for Comp's Tiger Wire.  He sent me a bundle a while back and I used it a lot.  I then switched to TC and quit using it.  I still have a few pieces left.  I use it in one RTA only.  Since the mod I use has poor TC I switched back to Wattage and with the looming vapocalypse I tried to find a commercial available wire that would work similarly to Tiger Wire.  The Clapton wire is good, but it isn't as good, but it is cheap, and easy to work with.
I need to find a new mod, but with 6 NEBOXs, I am spoiled to the design.  I would like to find something that uses a recessed tank like the Smoant, or something similar.  I just don't want to spend the money.  So I use my NEBOX during the day, and one of my "standard" mods with a Crown when I am at home in the evening.

Right now I'm working on a coil that I made using 4 strands of 30g kanthal twisted together, kind of looks like a Clapton coil. Don't know what the resistance will be but I guess I'll find out when I put it in a RBA.

Here it is As it came in the boxCoil assembly has to be taken out for filling..might be hard to see but this thing does not sit flush on any of my mods (6 I've tried)
Airflow is a restrictive lung hit, and vapor production is so-so at best..
Being a Genesis style wick that lives in the juice I have to vape it horizontally to avoid a dry hit..
Flavor is no better than I get on my subtanks or dual coil RTAs..
It's really not my style of vaping but for $17 what the hell..it vapes, and no leaks so far..

    ^^ This ^^ Exactly!
I've Paid Forward (almost) all of my unwanted or excess gear, and made lots of people happy.   I have sold a couple of pieces, but they were new-in-package and at greatly reduced price!  It makes me happy to do so, too, when I can... especially for someone in need or for a smoker that is wanting to get away from analogs, but has no idea about vaping .

    Great review!
I really want to pick one up.  I have not been able to find one cheap enough to  make me bite yet.  I also have not found the RBA for it either.  From what I understand from the early reviews it doesn't include it.
The battery door sounds nice.  The screw on thing on the NEBOX sucks.  One of mine has great threads, the others are not so great.

Cupti - first impressions.....I've only used it for a few hours ....
Pardon if this is rambling, but it's my first real attempt at a  written review.
Overall, It's a very well made all in one mod. It fits nicely in my small hands but it's substantial enough that someone with larger hands would like it.
It has a nice top airflow. It's not hugely airy like a limitless plus which is almost too much for me (I have to close it by 2/3rds to be comfortable.) On the Cupti I can keep it pretty open and get a good air/vape ratio for my direct to lung vape style. I have noticed if I draw too hard it's sort of noisy next to my Avocado. I personally didn't like the wider bore drip tip it came with so I switched it with a mid sized 510  one and it fit like a charm and looks good too . In the package, it came with 2 drip tips, the wider one and then a smaller bore one for MTL. It also came with a MTL coil rated at 1.5ohms. So it's versatile for different vaping styles.
I laid the just filled Cupti down on it's side on the table to see if it leaked for about 5 minutes and no leaks! I was really shocked when I realized I left the air adjustment thing wide open which is at the top of the chimney and where the driptip is. Not a drop... I was pretty impressed... I think it'll be great for running around or dropping into a purse/backpack without worrying about it.
I'm still messing with the settings and trying to figure them out. The up/down buttons are sort of slow in changing settings but they go in .1 increments so I think you can really dial in the sweet spot on juices.
So far, as far as flavor goes it's been quite good. I'm using the 0.5 pre-installed coil and it wicks well so far no dry hits and I did try to get one until I got woozy...  I experienced a little gurgling at first but it seems to be disappearing. I'm vaping Razzleberry Ring Pop from Central Vapor at 70vg/30pg at  28.5W  and I'm getting really good flavor and vapor production...It would take me chain vaping to cloud up the living room but it's no slouch either.
It's built pretty tough that's for sure, the screen is  small but bright and easy to see. It's located on the top of the mod and slightly recessed so it would be hard to damage it. I like the pyrex tank being recessed, it is almost as you would have to go out of your way to bang it directly to break it and it is replaceable.. It has a small, clicky fire button but  I actually kind of like it, it's feels like it's in a natural place for the way I hold my mods so that's a bonus in my book. Changing the 18650 is a snap, it's got a little tab on the bottom you just slide back and the battery comes right out. I don't think it would be able to open by itself because it's set into the trapdoor.
Filling it is easy, once you take out the chimney you can pour your ejuice in without messing with a dropper. It has a clearly marked fill line so you don't overfill it.
First impression is 8.5 out of ten

Ahhh...you have woken the sleeping giant.  LOL
In my opinion the single biggest issue with this country is the fact it's a "two party" system, in spite of having multiple parties.  I'm fairly conservative both by nature and by upbringing, but I haven't and still don't always vote down party lines.  Unfortunately voting for the lesser of two evils isn't really a choice.  I'm a huge proponent of either automatically granting entrance into national debates for each political party's presidential nominee.  (Note - I've been following Gary Johnson as of late.  I don't know that I will vote for him, but I do think he deserves to be in the debates just as much as Hillary or Donald.  The requirement of a "15% rating in the polls" is BS is was probably concocted in a bi-partisan measure between Democrats and Republicans in order to keep out third, fourth or fifth parties.
On a completely unrelated note, this if my 500th post.  I'm officially Insane now.
