Yep.  I could easily go the next couple of years without having to buy any liquid, coils or batteries.  8 regulated mods, 4 mech mods, 13 tanks, 7 RDA's, 40 18650 batteries, 4 26650 batteries, plenty of coils for each of the tanks, 3000+ feet of wire in various gauges, enough Cotton Bacon that I think I should be considered a business partner, over a gallon (total) in store bought liquid and enough PG, VG, nic base and flavorings to make another 2+ gallons; and my stash pales in comparison to many.

I recently made a 600ml batch of 30/70 PG/VG mix, with 25% flavoring... and yeah, it seemed to be a ton of flavor (150ml total) and only 30ml of additional PG.
When you mix a 30ml bottle with 20% flavor, you don't think much about the volume of flavor because 6ml is so low, but when you multiply that by 10 or 20 for larger batches, it does seem like a lot, lol.
I've had to double-check my math before too... especially after mixing one of your juices that is only 15% flavoring, and then mixing an even larger batch of one that is 25-30% flavor... it does seem like a ton of flavoring when you're mixing really large batches

When I use to buy my juices locally or online... I would frequently buy 240, 300, or 600ml at a time, and they nearly always came in 30ml bottles... with rare exceptions of getting 60, 100, or 120ml bottles if they had them in stock.  More often than not, though, 30ml was the standard in-stock sizes, and I actually appreciated having many, smaller, more manageable bottles around... so I could leave one at work, one at the cabin, one in my backpack, and store the rest in the fridge.  If I ordered 600ml and it came in a 500ml and 100ml (or five 120ml) bottles, I'd have to divvy it out into smaller bottles on my own?
Even today, mixing my own juices in 300-1000ml batches... I still pour the batches into 30ml and 60ml bottles for convenience and portability.   The largest bottles I use for storage are 120ml bottles.  Even when I break down a liter of Nicotine base for freezing, 120ml (or smaller) bottles are used for freezer storage so when I pull one out for mixing a batch, I'm not exposing large volumes to the atmosphere, causing Oxygenation degradation of the whole batch.

This morning I realized that things are changing fast.  First thing in the morning I vape my little ego or nautilous mouth to lung to get some nicotine in the system.  That is no longer satisfying.  I want that wonderful direct to lung vape with the airflow wide open.  How relaxing!  So nice!

The short answer is the control circuitry steps the voltage up by drawing higher Amps... this is why you need to make sure you are using high quality, high Amp batteries in your mods.  In order for your mod to step up to 75W with a single 18650, it can draw upwards of 20A+ (depending on the mod's chip-set and the charge-level of the battery).  Most mods have safety built-in to prevent them from exceeding a specific Amp range, just like they won't fire coils below a specific Ohm rating.
@jasonculp did a really good write-up on how the chip-sets bump up Wattage, Amp load on batteries, etc. and can give you a much more detailed answer... but suffice it to say, the mod's chip-set does a lot more than just display the Ohms, Voltage/Wattage, and battery-level

Walt, you're experiencing the same thing all of us have gone through at one time or another...   Years of smoking not only cause a memory effect from repetition, but they also create a chemical dependence in your brain, and it takes time to rid yourself of those chemicals.  Think of it like Stockholm Syndrome, where you begin to have affection towards your captors/torturers... the analogs have become your friend for many years, and it's hard to say goodbye overnight without reminiscing and remembering those fond moments
The way to power though is to vape your higher Nicotine juices to quell those cravings... and YES... talk about it.  We are your "Group Therapy" session here, so feel free to vent or just talk about your success/failures of the day.  We're here to listen and encourage, not judge... we've been there, and can tell you it will get better and easier in time.  Some of us passed that first major hump in a few days... some took months... but never get discouraged!  We're here for you

Having multiple tanks is great, but having multiple tanks that use the same coil is better.
I use 10 tanks in rotation, 6 subtank minis/toptank minis, and 4 subtank nanos, they can all use the same coil.
Whatever your choice in tanks are Crown tanks, or Smok, or eleaf, its a good thing to try to get tanks that all use the same coil, it just makes things easier.

For the Star Wars fans on the forums, I had the opportunity to see Rogue One last night.  Going again tonight with the kids.  I promised no spoilers and there will be none, but I will say this:  If you're a hardcore Star Wars fan, the last 2 minutes of the movie alone are worth the price of admission.
    That is all.

This isn't a full review of the Hohm Slice, just some first impressions formatted into a mini-faq of sorts.  A full review will be coming along in a couple of weeks.

What is it? – In a nutshell the Hohm Slice is a single 26650 101 watt regulated box mod with temp control.

What sets it apart from other TC mods?  It can be used with nickel, titanium, stainless steel (all types), nichrome, tungsten (used with ceramic wicks) and Kanthal A1.  Yes, temp control for Kanthal.  It also seems to be a bit more user friendly than other TC mods I own or have used, but again, I have spent most of my time with it in power mode.  In power mode it works as just well as any other regulated mod I have.

Does the temp control really work with Kanthal?  Yep, it sure does.  For the most part far I have been using it power mode with a TFV8 Baby Beast using the Baby T8 coil at 90 watts, but I did play around with the same tank and same coil in TC mode so I can verify that temp control does indeed work with Kanthal.  I need to play around with it a little bit more when I have time to actually sit, dive in deep and really get it dialed in.  I also want to use it with my own Kanthal coils rather than drop in coils.

How does it perform with other wire types?  So far the only other wire type I've used is 316L Stainless Steel.  It performed flawlessly at 40 watts and 480 degrees.  Even though I have switched to SS almost exclusively for temp control vaping I do still have some nickel drop-in coils and I still have some titanium wire so I plan on checking it out with those as well.  I don't and won't use coils with ceramic wicks and I don't have any nichrome, so I probably won't be checking temp control performance with either of those unless I decide to buy some nichrome wire.

How does it look and feel?  The actual mod casing is very sturdy feeling, but the buttons rattle.  They rattle more than just a little.  I have had mods with buttons that rattle a bit in the past, but picking this up and shaking it almost sounds like you're shaking a maraca.  Okay, slight exaggeration there, but only slight.  The button issue has also been noted by guys who have reviewed this mod on YouTube.  The battery cover is held on with four strong magnets.  The finish is baked on ceramic rather than being painted or powder coated, so it should hold up well under normal use.   Its shape, size and weight with a 26650 in it feel good in my hand.  It is roughly the same size as one of my Sigelei 213s or a Reauleaux 2/3 in 2 battery mode.
I have another mod I'm getting ready to run through some testing, but I hope to have the full review of this mod done within the next couple of weeks.  In the meantime, if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask and I will answer.

Just so everyone knows this wasn't anything Vapor talk did wrong . Everything was packaged well it was the dropper from the manufacture that was off centered and would not seal properly. So when it was laid on its side in shipping it leaked all out.

Got another TFV8 Cloud Beast (my 3rd) as well as 2200' total of SS wire.  Yes, two thousand two hundred feet.  The 32 and 36 gauge are each 1000 foot rolls.  I see some SS Fused Clapton coils in my near future.  Might try my hand at an Alien Clapton also.

New tank doesn't look too bad on top of my blue Fuchai 213.

But since my Cowboys are playing tonight, I gotta go with some Silver and Blue.  Looks pretty good on top of my Triade, too.

Did they change the battery door on that?  I have an older silver one and don't like the big sliding door.  But it's a good mod.
Come to think, maybe it's the D2 I have.  I like that they're small and they fit the hand well.

For what it's worth, you can go quite a bit higher with the watts in temp control mode.  For the most part, in TC mode the watts help the coil get to the desired temp.  That is likely why you have a better experience at 40 watts and 580 degrees compared to 25 watts and 600 degrees.  Depending on how long your draws are, it's entirely possible that the coil isn't reaching your dialed in temp preference when set at 25 watts.  In fact, if you are taking hits that are only a couple of seconds in length, you may not actually be hitting the 580 degrees with 40 watts.
I have been working on a TC guide that I hope will be better than most of the other "guides" I have seen on the internet, because none of the guides clearly explains how wattage plays a role in temp control.  The main problem I am having is that I want it to be "generic" in nature, but there are so many TC chips out there it's almost impossible to include enough information for everybody to find it useful.  Heck, even I have 5 TC mods running three different chips and every single one of them operates differently from each other.

I don't know what kind of study you're doing, and I'm not clicking the link to find out about a few subjective or bias questions which will likely lead to zero conclusions (other than "vaping is bad", which is the go-to for the medical/dental community).
As a former researcher, I can tell you the only honest study you can do, will take at least 500 test subjects and 10-20 years to conduct properly.  You'll need 100 each of non-smokers/non-vapers for control group...100 each current smokers, former smokers who don't vape or use any other nicotine diversion, former smokers who vape, and non-smokers who vape.  You'll have to also eliminate/mitigate environmental factors, excessive drinkers, caffeine addicts, and those who consume sugar (drinks/candy), or any other known oral-health damage causing factors.
I'd wish you luck on your endeavor, but we both know you're probably not going to be investigating this thoroughly (long-term) or seriously... because next semester you'll have a new pet-project to complete for your indoctrination officials (a.k.a professors)... rather than learning real dentistry....
Sorry for the cynicism, but I've been around long enough in the medical field to know smoke-and-mirrors faux-research attempts when I see it....

Morning Tam!   I've had my first cup so I'll give it a shot.

it's really just just a bit of a numbers game.  Kind of like 30mph is too fast for a school zone but 30 on the freeway would be crawling.
I thought of a good analogy (I think) which might help illustrate it.
If you stood in front of a stereo speaker and turned the volume up to 3, you would think it was pretty loud (too hot). But, the guys in the back of the room would be saying "Crank it up!"  It takes more power to deliver that same "volume" to the back of the room. So you think 3 is fine, but the guys in the back of the room need to have it on 7 to get the same perceived volume. Then you're left thinking how is that possible, 7 is way too loud.
A high ohm coil (1.8ohm) sees 10 watts and goes, "no way, I'm not letting you through" and pushes back on that power and the result is heat.   A low ohm coil (.3 ohm) sees 10 watts and offers very little resistance "go right on through, boys" and without that resistance  creates almost no heat.  So, more power is needed to heat up that .3 coil.  It doesn't start pushing back on that power until the power reaches 40watts.  Then it starts going "hold on, boys" and produces heat.  The perceived heat could be lower at 40 watts than 10 watts on a high coil.

Yep, I sure would. Actually, I would probably start at 40-42 watts, but I also know the range where my sweet spot lies at that resistance and I know my equipment.

It's all part of understanding the safe limits of the batteries, Ohm's law, etc. High wattage does not necessarily automatically equate to a hot vape. [emoji4]
